My wife and I visited the Amsterdam store for the first time on 3/30/24. We have been shopping for a fifth wheel on and off for about a year. The Amsterdam location had the camper we are interested in, so we took a 2 1/2 hour drive to see it in person. We were greeted by a wonderful receptionist and Greg Clark, RV Consultant. We told Greg we were there to look at a specific camper and without hesitation, he kindly brought us to see it. He spent a few hours with us and answered any questions we had. He made us feel very comfortable and we did not feel pressured in any way. We thoroughly enjoyed talking to him, as he made the long drive well worth it! We had an outstanding visit and it was a pleasure to deal with Greg and the rest of the staff! Thank you Greg and Alpin Haus!

Found our first travel trailer from Alpin Haus. Was introduced to Grand Design trailers at their event in Saratoga Springs, and then worked with Don Terpening at their Amsterdam location to pick out our summer home. Steven David walked us through the PDI and gave us some helpful tips for our rookie season. And thanks to Thomas for making sure our trailering set up was set for us as to hit the road. Highly recommend the team at the Amsterdam NY location!

New buyers beware. Sales department is awesome and friendly, service department is a total disaster. Absolutely no communication, high turn over rate, very shady/misleading about costs for repairs, lots of hidden fees and you can never talk to the same person twice. The first year or two is great, then it's like a totally different company.... will NEVER do business with them again.

We entered the dealership with a warm greeting. We had made an appointment with Charles Weitz. Charles had the RV ready for us to look at. He answered all of our questions and concerns. He also made a list of a few repairs that needed to be done. He explained the whole process with us. Even the employees in the garage were happy and considerate. We highly recommend this employee and dealership.

Nick, Rich, Mark, and Keith were absolutely INCREDIBLE to work with start to finish. We started our search with a different dealer but decided to purchase at Alpin Haus because of our interactions with these fantastic people. After having a blow out on NY I-90 on a Sunday late afternoon, we limped into Alpin Haus RV early the next morning. From the very first hello, Assistant Service Manager, Dave Behuniak, extended outstanding service. Dealing with both our insurance and extended warranty, Dave assessed, presented options, and followed through with every detail. We ended up spending three days and nights at the Dealership/Service Center waiting for all of the parts to be delivered and work done to get us road worthy. The service technicians were extremely courteous and really knew their stuff. The entire staff made us feel like family and the waiting areas within the dealership were comfortable and spotlessly clean. This is a well run company from the top down. Dave even made arrangements, allowing us to stay in our trailer onsite in the evenings to cut down our stress level. While I hope our situation is never your situation, if you need service of any kind on your RV, I give Alpin Haus a glowing 10+ rating. Our are grateful Texans a long way from home.

This review is long overdue.We purchased a Thor Tellaro Class B van from Alpin Haus in 2021. It was the 2nd RV that we bought there. We have always received outstanding service from them, but I felt compelled to write a review after our most recent visit to the service department.We were traveling from Florida to Schenectady on the first leg of our trip to Alaska. We were having trouble with our power - it seemed as if the battery was unable to hold a charge. Also, our backup camera and gauges for the propane tank were not working properly. We called the Alpin Haus Service Department on Tuesday, May 7th while on the road and explained our situation. We told them we would get to Schenectady on Sunday, May 12th. They scheduled us to come in on Monday morning at 9:00. They checked to see if they had a battery in stock so they could order one ahead of time if needed.When we got there, it was determined that the battery was fine, but there was corrosion that needed to be cleaned up - which they did. They also filled the propane tank and fixed the grudges and monitors. Unfortunately, the backup camera was broken, and they didn't have any in stock. They ordered one and put a rush on delivery so that it would be there the next day, and we were told that we could stop back in on Wednesday on our way out of town to have it installed. We did and everything is now working well for our journey.We were so very impressed with Jennifer who worked so hard on getting us scheduled on such short notice and Chris, the technician who did the work.There have been so many others at Alpin Haus who have helped us over the past 7 years - Steve our salesman, Dave, Randy, Lance, Rusty, and so many others that I wish I could recall their names. We are very grateful to them all.

We just bought a travel trailer from Alpin House. Mike Pritchard was our salesman and did a great job. We went back and forth several times until we got a deal we were happy with. He even did a a proposal after hours and home. The day of pickup we had John as our tech to do the walk through. He was extremely thorough, funny and answered any questions we had. I would highly recommend Alpin Haus if you are thinking of buying a RV.

Our sales person Dave was awesome, no high pressure non-sense.Our finance team of Kyle and James were outstanding. When they gave us our payment info it included everything warranty, taxes. There were no hidden surprises, unlike the last time that we purchased an RV from a different dealership in the capital region.Like with any new RV they are going to be fit and finish issues, the service manager, Randy, and his team that we worked with got us in right away within a couple of days or even same day to get things fixed.When it came time for actual delivery of our new rig, which is a 2023 Coachmen cross trail 21XG, the person who did our walk-through tour was Morgan and he was phenomenal! He answered all of our questions as mundane as they were, because we knew nothing about the complicated water and electrical systems at this rig has, but he made everything understandable, and took his time to explain things without talking down to us. In this process actually took a few hours.If you are in the market for a new or used RV or have any type of RV repair issues, I cannot recommend Alpin Haus enough!

My husband and I bought our Grand Design 395MS from Alpin Haus… Our salesman was wonderful in showing and explaining all the benefits of the Grand Design. The Service Department was super helpful in giving us a detailed tutorial on how to operate our new RV… And ever year since we’ve bought the RV we always take it back to Alpin Haus for service and storage.There’s been several things that got broke, or weren’t tight enough. We added a TV and each time Parts and Service did a fantastic job of making sure everything was fixed, secured and ready for us to use the RV each season…You won’t go wrong dealing with Alpin Haus, no matter how far you come to deal with them.Also, our Grandson absolutely adores going ‘camping’ with Nana and PopPop… And we wouldn’t have it any other way.

We recently purchased a 3 year old Airtream 27FB. It’s an absolutely gorgeous trailer! We are looking forward to our many adventures in our home away from home. Heather in Sales was extremely helpful, very nice and fun to talk to. Jon did our walkthrough of the camper in the store room. So much fun we had plenty of laughs and fun figuring out the quirkiness of an airstream. They certainly aren’t your average trailer, but we had so much fun figuring it out. Honestly really disappointed in Alpin Haus. My husband I were prepared to purchase a fifth wheel we really liked from there- had financing ready, etc. We reached out to a salesman, were discussing the price of the RV and we’re told to submit a form for our trade-in to determine what they would offer us. I made it a point to tell this salesman how when we purchased our last rv at a different rv store- we were dissatisfied with the way they didn’t explain anything, didn’t answer our question, etc. Given it was our first time buying an RV we didn’t know any better. This time, we had done research, I provided comps for the RV we wanted supporting a certain price, etc., as we were ready to purchase. Once submitting our trade-in sheet with our current RV information filled out, the salesman completely ghosted us Stopped returning my emails, even when I followed up waiting for a trade-in estimate. I reached out via text as well, no answer. I honestly couldn’t believe a business would conduct themselves like that. At first I thought maybe they sold the RV, but nope. The RV is still for sale… and they’ve lowered the price. I’m not sure if since we reached out via email they thought we weren’t serious (even though I made sure to express we have extremely busy schedules and didn’t want to come in until we knew we could make the deal work, but submitted all of the paperwork to prove we were serious about purchasing and like I said, we already had financing ready). Overall, wouldn’t recommend. Lost all my faith in this place when they decided we weren’t worth the email/call back and lost a sale.

Great communication. Very friendly. They got the job done a week earlier than expected and for $500 less than quoted. They stayed later than closing time so that I could pick up my vehicle.
