We have been going to Amityville Animal Hospital since 1999 when Dr. Cuccaro was the Vet with a canine companion, Yoki for my brother who was a quadriplegic. Yoki lived 16 years. Dr. C sold the practice to the perfect Vet, Dr Roiland. We then have brought several dogs (Snickers, Richie, Scrappy and Julie) to Dr. Roiland who goes above and beyond. He treats each pet as if they are his own. We’ve had dogs with tumors, diabetes, allergies and Cushings disease as they grew into seniors. He never rushes you and always follows up with a phone call. He answers every question and will always go the extra mile with a positive attitude. He make you feel at ease! We would never consider going anywhere else. Dr. Roiland should be commended for being an Amazing Vet!

Besides being one of the the kindest and most compassionate human beings I have ever known, he is knowledgeable and will take the best care without using unnecessary means for financial benefit. Dr Roiland was my pets vet for 13 years. He is such a down to earth friendly guy who has nothing but the pets best interest at heart. He was always available for a call toward the end of my pets life to help answer questions and offer his support. He is an amazing vet and a wonderful human being.

ABSOLUTELY GREAT...Once again, great care, great vets, and staff. Dr. Roiland and the other staff are just wonderful. I can honestly say without a doubt you will be happy taking your loved one here for any type of issue. Just had to visit again to take my almost 13-year-old pom with a slipped disk amd neck issues after being attacked by a mastiff, and was so hapy with the help we recieved. So glad I have such a caring, knowledgeable Dr to handle this, and once again feel like I'm in excellent hands. Thanks Dr. Roiland and Amityville Animal Hospital!!

You will NOT find a better vet than Doctor Glen Roiland He saved our dog and we will never forget it. The bedside manner is incredible our little guy was so sick he couldn't get out of the car and Dr Glen and the staff came into the parking lot and treated him in the back seat! Our dog Ralph is so happy now and without putting 100% of our trust into Dr Glen and Amityville Animal Hospital he may not even be here today. When our pets are hurting we make emotional decisions and need a voice of reason who can understand the medical aspects, the best interest of our furry friends and how it feels to be a pet owner with a breaking heart and this IS the place that can do that. I could never ever thank Dr. Roiland enough for his time, kindness and compassion. He is the only Veterinarian who is able to relieve my little boy's painful neck injury due to 2 herniated disc in his neck.  He listens to the parents and never wants to stress out your fur baby with unnecessary testing. Dr. Roiland has also surrounded himself with a staff that cares just as much as we all do about our furry babies.  They truly do care about getting my little boy back up and to his happy little self. I just wanted to leave an updated review on how wonderful Dr. Roiland and his staff are. I have been bringing my Gus here for nine years. Dr. Roiland has taken magnificent care of him since day one. He has skillfully performed multiple surgeries from luxating patella to bladder stone surgery to most recently tooth extractions. For those of us who are honored to have him as our veterinarian we know what a priceless gem he is. God bless him and his wonderful staff always.

FANTASTIC! The Amityville Animal Hospital has been amazing since we first brought our dog Stella in as a puppy. Starting with Dr. Roiland, who is compassionate, extremely knowledgeable, personable and genuinely loves what he does! His staff is friendly, well organized, and treats our dog like it’s their own. When we’ve had our share of scares or injuries, Dr Roiland and staff have were there even in off hours to address our needs and put us at ease. Dr. Roiland and his family have lovingly cared for our standard poodle since she was 10 weeks old . She is now 11 years old. She hates going to the groomer but loves to see Dr. Roiland . We always felt like she was getting the best care possible. If you are looking for a “old school” veterinary practice that is in it for the love of animals as opposed to the love of money, Dr Roiland needs to be your vet. I can’t say enough about him and his family owned practice .

I have trouble putting into words how wonderful Dr. Roiland is because words, simply are not enough. He takes his time with my precious Nathan. He treats him like he is one of his own pets. When I speak to him after Nathan’s visit, I can hear the compassion in his voice. I am never cut short. He listens to all my concerns. I came to Amityville Animal Hospital to find healthcare for my pets, I found so much more, a friend. Dr. Roiland gives so much of himself to his profession. This man is truly doing God’s work. This place is the best! The entire staff is courteous and treats my pets like their own. Been coming here for while and I can’t say enough good things about the care they provide (and not a rip off like other vets I have used in the past!). As long as I have my Zoo at home, I’ll be coming here for their care.

I bring all three of my dogs here. Dr Roiland quickly diagnosed my dog Casey with a disc issue and we had him in surgery within 3 hours. Saved his life, or at least his walking life. We had limited time to get the disc that blew away from his spine. Forever grateful

I’ve had my Shih Tzu Sofie , with Dr. Roiland for many years . Recently, Sofie had suffered from seizures, Doc Roiland immediately got Sofie diagnosed and started on medication.The he amount of time he took to explain to us the the situation was over and above what we expected .I highly recommend Amityville animal hospital, and Dr. Royland to all pet owners .

I have known this place since I have been 8 yrs old…. So I will be 58 this year! Yikes… Dr Cacaro saved my dogs life and he carefully chose Dr Roiland to take his place because he wanted someone who was as wonderful and dedicated as he was. Dr Roiland is exactly that. I would never … ever consider anyone else to take care of my best friends …he is a truly amazing wonderful man/ most knowledgeable doctor you can get and has guided me and helped me through the hardest times and the best times with dogs that had their issues. You need your baby to be with him for sure ….big mistake to go anywhere else …

De. Roiland is by far the best veterianrian in the area, if not on all of LI. Attentive, understanding, patient and EXTREMELY knowledgeble. After moving to LI with my 6 dogs I have gone to 5 different hospitals in an attempt to find a doctor I trust. All were either pure salesmen or just lacked common sense, let alone knowledge. Finally, I found Dr. Roiland and I hope he never retires.

If I could give Dr Roland and his staff, more stars I would. I’m a registered nurse so I’m ultra picky of who my dog sees. I just want good care for my dog. This is what you get at Amityville Animal hospital. Sometimes, I can’t get in to see him, but that’s not his fault. It’s mine. He is so popular. Plus, my dog is a SCWT and he tends to have these last min emergencies. The staff always accommodates me. But when I do go, my dog is not even anxious. He is a animal whisperer. In fact, my fur baby ran in to Dr Roland’s office. He takes the time, no matter how busy he is. He is knowledgeable , and his cost to see him are beyond reasonable. Trust me. He even called me today on a Saturday to give blood work and urine results after working a long day. I actually told his staff- he is too cheap for his expertise. He is very respectful, loves his craft, and all around a good human , along with his staff. We need more people like this. I’m moving out of state - 4 hours away and I’m keeping him as my vet. You can’t put a price or time on quality. You have to bring your animal- to his office. They will find out what’s going on.

Dr. Roiland is one in a million! We have been patients of his for over 7 years. First with our dog Luca and now again with our new puppy. We got our puppy and unfortunately she was very sick. Dr. Roiland took the time and attention to try get our puppy healthy. He calls to check on her, he follows up to see how she's doing ... he is such a kind person and he truly cares for his patients and their families. He has an incredible manner with you and your pet & his staff is always lovely, kind and helpful. He is the best vet on Long Island in our opinion.

I can not thank my vet Amityville Animal Hospital and Dr. Roiland enough for all of their patience, compassion and honesty. Dr. Roiland has been treating my animals for many years. A year ago our beloved cat was not doing well. He saw us immediately and gave us all the information needed to make a very difficult decision. He sat with me and gave me the time necessary to absorb what we needed to do. Most recently my multipoo was limping and again Dr. Roiland made room in his busy schedule to see us. He takes great care and compassion with the animals he sees, whether its for shots, injuries or very difficult decisions. I would recommend Amityville Animal Hospital & Dr. Roiland because they truly care about their patients.

My dog is not the easiest to take the vet but he was more comfortable than I have ever seen him under the care of Dr. Wright. Dr. Wright understood him and took things slow and made sure he was at ease. The practice is also more affordable than most I have seen on Long Island.Updating because I cannot say enough kind things about Dr. Roiland and Dr. Wright. I've seen both vets for all three of my animals and the level of care they give is unbelievable. They take notes about the animal's demeanor when they are vet-shy and are careful to not overstep any boundaries the pet may have unless absolutely necessary. When they do have to do something uncomfortable to the animal it is done with the utmost care. The rest of the staff is so kind and so helpful -- I have never had a bad experience and with three animals (one of whom is diabetic and arthritic) we are there a LOT and everyone has made every trip worth every dollar we spend. I'd also like to reiterate that their prices are unbeatable. I had my kitten neutered and it cost ~$180 total. That's more than $200 less than what I was quoted elsewhere. I genuinely cannot praise them enough.
