I have been regularly visiting the Hannafords in Walden since March. However, it seems that every time I go there, I encounter people bringing their pets into the store, despite the store's "No Pet" Policy. I have witnessed puppies under 12 weeks old walking on the floor and sniffing at shelves, as well as a dirty dog in a shopping cart. Additionally, there was an incident where someone brought two small dogs on retractable leashes, blocking the entire aisle and lunging at me when I tried to pass. Just yesterday, I saw someone with a bird perched on their shopping cart.I have brought this issue to the attention of both the store manager and the district manager on multiple occasions. However, the store manager expressed that he does not want to argue with customers, which is why he does not ask them to remove their pets. I even mentioned the ADA and the laws regarding service animals, but they claimed to be aware of the law, implying that they simply do not care.I am deeply concerned about the potential safety and health risks this situation poses to customers. It is crucial that this matter is taken more seriously and appropriate actions are taken to enforce the store's policy.

Online ordering and pickup works well. Very convenient for people who have disabilities or can't go into the store to shop. Just make sure to check no substitutions or make a note for them what they can substitute if the product you want is out of stock. The staff who do the shopping and bring your stuff to the car are always friendly, polite, and helpful.

I love our local Hannaford! I was there to pick up water Hannaford was donating to our event this weekend. The Wallkill Lions club is putting on our annual Steak bake, and the water will be such a help for our dinner! Can't thank the managers enough for all the support, and helping to load me up with the water so I could move on to the next task. You guys rock!

Hannafords is a very well managed store. I shop here twice a week, very clean, isles always clear, food always stocked, great assortment of groceries, staff for the most part are friendly but there are a few younger cashiers that don’t give two cents. Won’t even say hello. But majority of the staff are wonderful.

I visit this Hannaford fairly often. This store tends to be clean and normally well stocked. They do tend to have some actual cashiers to check you out, but do have a couple of self serve registers if you prefer.They do have some hot food options for a quick meal although not a large amount like some other stores. The store itself is not overly large without feeling too small . It's just a nice size.There is a decent amount of parking, but I find the parking design is not the best laid out. It is functional, but could have been planned better.All in all a decent store.Some very minor issues, but mostly a well run store.

I love that the have a section where the put alot of the gluten free in one spot in this store. Makes things a lot easier. Store is clean cashiers friendly. It has improved since last time I was there. Great job Hannaford

Overall this supermarket has improved over the 6 years that I have been a customer. Compared to ShopRite, which is 4 miles away, they have somewhat lower prices for the things that I buy. Service has also improved over the years and is better then other supermarkets in the area. They lose a star for me due to the limited deli meats selection and the fact that their beer selection is somewhat limited (although they do have some selection of craft beers). I did a comparison shop over 2 weeks against ShopRite and saved $6 bucks, same items going here. This could change and I am sure some people will save at other stores due to what they are buying. I am happy Hannford is here.

Super clean area, fresh fruit, vegetables and meat make the difference...However today I visited the deli and I was very concerned that I had to wait close to 20 minutes to be served because only ONE person was left at this department and customer were lining out and getting upset for the bad attention. The guy left was working very hard trying to take care of the clients but was too much for him ALONE. Please get better organization with the crew taking care of clients. THERE IS NOT WAY TO MAKE BUSINESS this way. What a bad experience at the Deli today...!

Overall, the store isn’t bad. It’s relatively small compared to Shop Rite which is just a mile or two away. But they stock quite a bit. Selection is good. Produce is sometimes moldy.But my real gripe is that 8 months into a pandemic and this store STILL doesn’t enforce mask mandates (which have been in effect since March). I can’t count the number of times I’ve been in this store and have seen multiple people NOT wearing a mask. And management says nothing at all. On top of that, they still fail to restock various items months after other stores have them back on shelves.

Been here a couple of times, always enough cashiers and the self checkout seems to be regulated so that Big Bertha with a cartful of stuff that can't get 2 items in a row done without help isn't holding up a machine for an hour like some other *Marts seem to ignore. The pharmacy has been great so far, went once to check on something and the pharmacy tech was incredible, polite, helpful, even said happy birthday! Overall the only issue I have is that I live 20 minutes away or else this would be my go to supermarket and pharmacy.

This store is very surprising. It's not a superstore, yet they have a wide variety of products. It's a very clean store and well maintained. Their produce is always great quality and fresh. I can easily say the same for the meat and fish dept. This fish dept never smells like fish. The prices are anywhere from average to slightly higher than average. You can also use your phone to make purchases via Apple and Google pay which is very convenient. The employees were very friendly and helpful. I love shopping there.

The grocery manager has no backbone can't discipline his employees what a joke The employees here say whatever they want, lie, horrible customer service. they are a bunch of jokes. I blame the grocery mannager. He has no manageable skills at all, no customer service skills at all,that explains why the cashier was very unappropriate and then lied when was confronted. the grocery manager it's completely the blame for not being able to control the workers so that makes this entire supermarket a complete unaccountable joke. The whole store needs to go back in training for how to deal with customers how to treat them with respect. the worst customer service I have seen in New York in 10 years horrible horrible ridiculous jokes.

I enjoy this place and they did recently renovate the far side of the store which is nice. The only thing I can say is Hannaford is priced insane compared to other local supermarkets since covid. It is the most expensive which is my reason for 4 stars

I ordered groceries for pickup many times. Received all I requested and was offered a couple of substitutions. Groceries delivered to my car and tip was refused each time. Employees are friendly, courteous, helpful and efficient. Thank you all.

We have lived here a year and always enjoy this Hannaford grocery store. (Betty is seriously an angel!). Just wanted to share some info: The pharmacy apparently closes for thirty-minutes around 2:00-2:30 every day. (Glad the pharmacy crew has a break, I just wish this info were available on the Google info.). Thanks for being an awesome store with all the great vibes.

I been to the Hannaford supermarket in Walden many times. But I never had a experience like the one I had on 12/21/21 at 6:50. My wife wanted to do some last minute grocery shopping, I wanted to get my son's teachers some gift cards. In total, three hundred dollars worth of purchases to be profiled like a criminal by one cashier standing behind us. Then the cashier checking us out questioning my wife about purchasing a couple of reusable bags that were $2.50 a piece. Especially when you have $300.00 worth of products.

This Sunday I had an experience picking up an Rx which totaled 45 cents. Completely out of cash or change, I reached for my debit card when Skye (the cashier) said “ no need to use your card for this sir I have fourty five cents”. Skye paid for my prescription from her own pocket, and then said “ thank you have a nice day”!That was the nicest thing ! Thank you Skye you’re a true asset to your pharmacy!

Wonderful stuff. Very clean and they have a great selection. The butcher counter and fish counter are excellent and they take pride in their work. I only buy my meats/fish from here because it is super fresh and they have the best cuts. If you are trying to save money any make enough meals for your family before payday then this is not the place to go. I have to go other places when I'm trying to make it to payday but when I have the money I only shop here.

I felt that the prices on the fresh meats and seafood were over priced. The deli should offer a better selection and better quality of meats and cheeses. As far as everything else, the prices are a lot more reasonable even cheaper then other stores.

Great place, nice and clean and great selection of products with good prices. I would give 5 stars but the self checkout was horrible, first there is only 2 and they are not user friendly like Walmart's. Almost every item wouldn't scan , kept having to wait for assistance and that took forever. But great Store !

The staff at the front end are great always helpful. The only problem is the rotating stock that seems to happen it seems like every time I find something I love they stop carrying it and they aren't even seasonal items. I know it's not the people's fault but I really prefer consistency in a Supermarket.
