I'm looking for an older cat to adopt. I went by early in the week, but the sign said they were only open a couple hours here and there and had a phone number to call. I called but they wouldn't make an appt, I just had to wait till they were open. So 4 days later I'm finally able to go there and I go right to the cat I want. But they won't let me have her! Because she is declawed, but my 12yo cat at home isn't..... Like I'm an irresponsible cat owner that would let my cats maul each other I guess. Sorry if I don't believe in getting my cat declawed. And they wouldn't let my kids touch any of the kittens. I guess we're supposed to observe them from afar?So their hours are ridiculous, and they don't seem too interested in encouraging adoption. I only gave 2 stars because they were nice.

I had been looking for a dog for a very long time. Everyday I would go and search dog shelter near me. From there I would click on the link that said you can search up dog cats etc near you by putting in you area code. That when I found Benelli. She was a beagle and so cute. We ended up calling them to go and see when we can look at her. They told us Monday 12-2. We got there and they had Benelli sister Beretta out running. So we look at her first to see if she would be a better match then Benelli and she was. Within 30 min we adopted Beretta know called Treasure. They were so nice and understanding they did not try to stop me while I was there to adopted treasure. When we were there,a guy came in to see a pit bull mix named timmy. They did not let him in though. They told us it was because he had live in a apartment and needed proof they could have dogs. She said she doesn't do that alot but the guy looked a little weird and she did not trust him. I can totally understand they are not going to give you a dog if you look weird or seem like you do not have the proper needs to take care of a dog. I would go there again if they had a dog or cat I wanted. Because I went there,they gave me Treasure the dog I will always love even in my old age.

would give zero stars if i could. they don’t care about the animals at all, they’re not interested in the animals going to good homes. it’s very disgusting. they’re only open for a couple hours which is unbelievable. when you speak over the phone they are very rude and disrespectful, and completely unhelpful. they allow personal relationships with previous owners to affect the process of someone adopting an animal. they don’t update anything online, as far as i know there’s nowhere online to see what animals are available for adoption (please correct me if i’m wrong, maybe i’m just not seeing something). overall an awful organization.

Was told to come bring my daughter there to meet a dog we wanted to adopt. Get there within 3 min of them being open a couple hears us say the name of the dog we were told to come meet and then they wanted to adopt, didnt even play with it just sat there watching it! You can tell they dont care about the dogs getting a good home!

I volunteer here, and this is a wonderful little shelter that does everything it can for every animal that passes through. Applications are taken for every animal, and those applications are reviewed to find the best match, in the interest of the animal. Anyone giving this shelter a bad review is either grossly misinformed, or bitter that they were not given the animal they were hoping for (likely due to being irresponsible).
