Worst supermarket I’ve ever been to, zero selection of stock poor help nobody stocks the shelves always empty. Cannot complete my shopping list usually if I am lucky I’ll get 50 percent of the items I am looking for. Terrible inventory!! Nice shopping carts and self checkout.

Previously known as Waldbaums. Not much of a change. Well stocked grocery store with ample parking. Recently added customer check outs No long lines. store is open 7am to 9 pm. Of course compared to big box stores, prices are high. Made up by convenience.

Really the best supermarket near me and I'm in Roslyn. Everything is fresh and the prices are at least fair. Options near me.. Not so much.

I shop here for certain items only. Fresh fruits and vegetables look wilted and/ or turning bad. Customers need to carefully check dates of expiration on meats and cheeses. Many are out of date. Definitely not a favorite grocery store.

Previously a Waldbaums store. Typical grocery store open early and closes late. Fresh fruits and vegetables. A sign posted says" do not taste grapes and cherries" does not deter customers from doing just that. Self check out counters have replaced manned ones. Pretty convenient.

The food emporium in Albertson, New York, has the rudest workers I have ever encountered in a supermarket, especially the cashiers. Not only are their price is excessive, but there is seldom anyone nearby to help. Today at the express cashier, I paid for my items. While I was packing up my purchases alone, the cashier was busy on his phone. Behind me came a young girl, who had three items and purchased a paper bag. He helped her, packed up her three items while I was still packing up my bags. The woman behind me was somewhere in her 20s or early 30s. I am an 82 year old woman. Although age has nothing to do with it, I’m sure the cashier avoided helping me and helped the young woman instead . When I mentioned something to him, he was very rude. This is not the first time something like this has happened at this particular store. I usually try to avoid it, but it was convenient to where I was. At the prices food emporium charges for groceries, they can afford to teach their employees to be more courteous. From here on, I will avoid shopping at the food emporium.

This place is pretty nice has a lot of stuff for us to buy but there is only one cashier and a bunch of self checkouts which is slow prob will take 2-4 mins to find a self checkout spot open

I never leave posts or reviews. I have been shopping at this Supermarket for years, and I usually shop early in the morning. It's a real shame that the current butcher here emanates the smell of alcohol, and on more that one occasion also. It's really disconcerting, being that they have the most dangerous job in the whole store I would think. I hope for his sake that Food Emporium provides the help that's needed to this individual that obviously has a problem with alcohol. Don't know if I will further be doing my food shopping here. Food Emporium should really keep a closer eye on their employees.

This store is notorious for leaving sale prices advertised in the aisles when they run out of the product. You’ll see a deceivingly similar product in the exact location of where the sale price is however they don’t honor that sale price. New manager is not the nicest guy either.

Always seems clean and organized. The downfall is the price, everything seems to be double or triple the price of other stores like Target, for example. Also, there is a slim variety of items.

the cashiers are always extremely rude. Today my friend and I needed help at the self check out and the women gave us so much attitude. Like it’s literally your job, I needed help and requested help, and she was being rude and giving attitude. Like you shouldn’t be working in customer service if a customer asking for help is such a big deal.

This store has really changed. The cashiers they have hired over the last few months make the DMV look like the friendliest place on earth. The new cashiers are rude, unhelpful and could care less that you are a customer, especially the two new male cashiers.If this continues I am seriously looking to shop at another store even though it is less convenient.

Nice location and great parking! Although All the items are very expensive. Customer service is not great. Not friendly staff. One of the managers (older gentleman with glasses) is very understanding and professional. I can’t say the same about the other guy who always looks too busy to answer any questions. Many of the cashiers look so disinterested in their job. One cashier ordered me to bag the items and told me she doesn’t touch chicken so I had to bag the meat. Have you ever heard of something like this?!!!!!!!Few of the deli workers are friendly but one woman in particular doesn’t even look up even when customers stand in front of them for 5 minutes! True story.

This place stopped me twice to check my receipt from self checkout, never seen that with anyone else. They don't have regular checkout lanes open in the morning anyway so you have to use the self checkout. I always try to patronize local businesses even when their prices are bit higher but unfortunately I'll not return back here.

Poor customer service. While I waited on line for the customer ahead of me to pay, I realized I’d forgotten to grab one item. I had already placed my 5 purchasing items on the belt when I asked the cashier if it was okay for me to leave the line and bring the one item without loosing my place in line. She said it was fine for me to go. I noticed there was no other customer behind me waiting but I still hurried to the aisle. I didn’t find the item I needed, so I decided to forget it and returned Immediately to the register to pay. When I returned I noticed the cashier was ringing another customer with a larger order than mine. The cashier, a young girl, looked at me and said that she had to remove my items to the side and help the next customer on line, as this was the store policy. I asked her why she didn’t said that before I took the decision to leave. I would’ve decided to stay and not lose my place on the line. She pointed at the store office and said that if I had a complain to go to the office and speak to the manager. I told her that yes, I would do that. At that moment a woman approaches the register and asked what happened. She told me she was the manager. I began to explain to her what happened and she interrupted me by asking if those were my items, she asked me to step to the next register that she would ring my items without letting me finish explain. I asked her to let me finish explaining. She said she had heard me and asked whether I wanted her to ring me or not. I said yes, I wanted her to ring my items but I also wanted her to listen to my complain and allow me to put my point across. She mocked me with gestures of putting her arms down and crossing her hands and said okay go ahead, I’m listening. I realized then that she was making fun of the situation and only trying to make me look like an irate and unreasonable customer. I decided to stop the argument and proceeded to pay. When she finished ringing my order, I asked her for her name and the cashier’s name. She would not give me their names and instead pointed at a gentleman near her and told me that was the store manager to go ahead and complain to him. I had to explained the situation again to the other manager and my frustration with both employees. He apologized and explain to me that the cashier was a new employee. I said that I could understand and sympathize with her lack of experience with customers but there was no excuse for the actions of the other employee who had approached me as a store manager only show such lack of empathy and professionalism. I will stop shopping at this store!

Social distancing is not a problem and there never seems to be a long line at the checkout, which I really appreciate. They provide sanitizer for hands and carts. They also have good bakery, deli, and seafood departments. The produce is beautiful and the meat department is excellent. This supermarket is always spotless.

Decided never to return after abominably rude behavior from the person manning the self-checkout section. You can't ask her any questions as she gets noticeably annoyed and many times just ignores you. I'm surprised and rather dismayed that the owner allows this person to work there. I'm going to shop at the Stopnshop from now on. A bit further away but who needs this...?

Great meats and all poultry. Very nice staff. Also helpful.Just watch out for the labels on all the meats and poultry. I've brought home drumsticks and they were priced as pork ribs. About a three dollar difference in pounds. But that's it. Courtesy desk lady could be less rude.

Much better now that it has been renovated and updated. Now had a decent selection of the higher quality brands I look for and more options for the food sensitive folks out there. The new sushi bar was also a welcomed surprise; great for grabbing a quick lunch.

I hate this place!!! I’ve come here only a few times bc I try to avoid this place as much as I can although it’s the closest market. I have never EVER encountered a cashier that was even remotely friendly. One time, older male cashier threw, yes THREW, the receipt at me. I was so happy today that this was the only place that had Starbucks coffee, but the cashier yelled at me bc my card did not go through. You’re in the hospitality business. Your job is hard, I get it, but it really doesn’t hurt to give a little smile and be nice to the customers that you encounter. The manager of the store should be fired for hiring such people to be the face of their store. It’s really a shame. I am in the same line of work and although the customers make the job harder, it brings in the paycheck. I cannot stress how much I hate shopping here

Somewhat better then my first visit. For example, the fish counter looked much more inviting. but still there is something about the staff that needs fixing. There is a prevalent negative vibe. Most ppl I encountered were dour at best. It makes a difference. Are you excited about your product are you willing to explain your cheese or fish or produce? At the checkout ... what can I say? Just a dark attitude to the shopper before me and then to me. Obviously checkout is the most important place. You get to touch each and every customer. You send me on my way feeling taken care of and valued or not. How about asking if I found everything I came in for? Or heaven forbid look up and say hello. Very dark encounter both times I've shopped here. Well stocked store. The store looked much better cared for then my first visit. But still a long way to go in improving the shoppers experience.

Aren't Deli employees required to wear gloves when cutting meats, etc.? Was there yesterday and the nice, older staff member behind the deli counter was wearing only one glove - what's that supposed to do? Why only one glove when you have two hands! Truly a health code violation. I should have left everything in the store - Yuck!

went in today for dannon light n fit 4 pack. Big 4 packs advertised 2/$4 . they were $5.89 EACH in store. They misprinted the correct item picture

Came to the store at 7 am on 1/1/22. The store was NOT open! They lost 2 customers. When I left at 7:08 am they were still not open yet. I was told the holiday hours start at 8 am. Could you add the dates and times for those hours here please.

Good place for quick pick ups. The sales aren't as great as other stores a little further away, but I'm not talking dollars here, more like a few cents. The selection is good and the staff friendly and helpful.

Though this store has been here a very long time, this was my first visit. I only needed a few items, but what I did need I found easily, the store is immaculate, the prices (that are not standard across all stores) are very good, the staff friendly & accommodating.
