Everyone is conversational and you feel comfortable here.I recommend at least a quick stop in to check them out, you might be surprised at all that they have and find things you need.

This place is exactly how one imagines a small town hardware and appliance general store.The staff know exactly where everything is. They know about what they sell and are inclined to help. Anything can be ordered and received in days. Great boots. Great assortment of supplies and household materials. I've only had success getting what I need at Hortons. Always a positive experience for me.

everybody is nice and very helpful on the top floor. The bottom floor all they want is to sell sell sell. but when you ask the people on the bottom they know nothing of what they sell. I bought a generator briggs and stratton. Great product by itself. Ask both men down stairs for help. The both had no clue about how to fix the problem. I asked them what kind of oil I needed for it. the both said two different things. went on line and it takes 10w-30. if you sell something you should know how it works.

Horton Hardware has everything you could possibly need in a small, rural, hardware store. They also offer equipment sales, rentals, furniture, mattresses, kitchens, work clothing, besides all the usual hardware you'd expect. The prices are a little high, but reasonable considering it's convenient to stop in, rather than drive miles to one of the bigger brand hardware stores. The staff members are all polite and helpful, too. So if you need something quick and want to buy locally, try Hortons!

Great little local hardware store. Even when I didn't really need anything, I just enjoyed walking around looking. They had a little bit of everything. The people were always nice. They carry a large selection of Carhartt clothing.

They have a little of everything. Kurt (I believe was his name) down stairs was very helpful in appliances. Had to go up stairs to get a few things. There were three employees standing together chatting. After walking several aisles, I finally had to ask for help locating an product. Other then that nice little store. I will add I have never been upstairs before. Will have to go back just to see what all is there.

This is a wonderful store/place! Their personnel know the store from one end to another so you always find what you're asking about unless they just don't carry it! AND -- you always feel welcomed when you come in . . . not anonymous like the big box places! It's a really good place to shop . . . OH, and the advice is top quality!

I just moved to Afton New York and as a woodworker a hardware store is a must. Horton's Hardware has more including clothing bedding and appliances. With a surprising variety and excellent service they get five stars from me.

To have this amount of equipment and hardware available in a small town is such a blessing! I am grateful and thankful to have Horton right in Afton! Not to mention, the equipment rental has been a lifesaver! We have movie nights at the baptist church in town and they always are so helpful when we need a popcorn maker!

Love Love love this store. It's a little more pricey, you could definitely go to Walmart or Lowes and get the same product for a LITTLE less, but I'd rather keep my business local and with friendly people.

Not sure what the previous reviewer's experience was exactly, but after going to Horton's for my entire life now, I can say with certainty that they are VERY customer friendly. Also, you can't get Carhartt anything cheaper anywhere unless it's a 2nd or 3rd off the line, this particular Ace literally sells brand new Carhartt everything for UNDER msrp, every day, no matter what.

Large selection of products and very helpful. Pellet/ coal stoves, wood pellets, appliances, plumbing, keys, electrical, outdoor supplies, small engine parts, stove pipe, you name it they have it. Tons of stuff packed in to a large space.

Their slogan says Hortons has it and they are not kidding. This is my go to place when I am at my cabin for everything from bolts and nuts to the kitchen sink. Chris and his staff are friendly professional and courteous. If you are looking for something that no one else has, chances are Hortons does.

Incredible small town, family run hardware store that has everything you need. Literally like everything ... Somehow they fit a couple of huge chain hardware stores in there combined w a bedding and appliance store along with grammas canning shop and gramps's small garage and clothes too boot .. ohh and yea boots too !! The moniker. Hortons has it . So not an exaggeration!
