Clean and comfortable hotel, I slept like a baby. Like other reviews say, this is more reflective of the small "town" in general, but there are very limited food options after 3pm. If you're coming here, make sure to pack your own food items... or you might be eating granola bars and bananas for dinner. When I checked in I wasn't even told whether or not breakfast was available like it says on the website. The proximity to both Carlsbad Caverns (up the street) and Guadalupe Mountains (35-ish minute drive) was the selling point for me.

The lady at reception when we arrived was extremely unfriendly. No word of welcome, no thank you, no "enjoy your stay". Nothing. Other members of staff were more friendly and helpful.Room was not very clean, quite a lot of mosquitos. Doors were very dirty.Breakfast is included, but you can hardly call this breakfast.Location is very convenient when you are visiting the Carlsbad Caverns.

I have a feeling this place would be a blast especially for the kids later in the season. Can't beat the proximity to the Caverns and the Mountains. The rooms, were big, clean, and adequate. You get a refrigerator and microwave, but there were conspicuously few electrical outlets. The staff were extremely nice at the hotel. Disappointed the reataurant was closed. Make sure to find out if it will be open because there is nothing else, but gas station snacks. The continental breakfast was simple muffins, fruit, and beverages, but it was welcome before a day of hiking. Plan to bring protein if you want/need it it. Would rather stay here than anywhere in Carlsbad when going to Guadalupe.Nearby activities: Carlsbad Caverns and Guadalupe Mountains.Food & drinks: Nothing available at night or when the restauraunt is closes. the restaurant is the only one for quite some distance.

Great little motel right outside Carlsbad Caverns, and about 30-40 minutes away from Guadalupe Mountains. Location for these parks is unbeatable, and the room was very clean and well kept. Breakfast was grab and go cold items (cereal and muffins) with coffee on. Nothing fancy, it’s not a Hilton, but it’s priced very reasonably. Did not get to go to the Cactus Grill restaurant, where you get a discount for staying in the Cavern Inn, as they are closed on Mondays. Dealt with 3 different clerks at the front desk during the stay and they were all incredibly helpful- gave great local recommendations! I’d like to thank them for that!Would highly recommend this hotel! Beats driving from Carlsbad down to the parks and wasting an hour!Rooms: Clean and well kept!

This hotel was a perfect location for after a long tour of the local Caverns. It was conveniently located at the turn off for the park. Customer service was great. The only thing was that it was now late in the day and there was no place to eat. We were recommended to go into town - about 15 miles away and then we were satisfied with a good meal. Thank you for your hospitality and affordable price. Folks just be sure to bring some goodies to eat or plan to make that trip into town in the off season. Blessings for the new year!

Loved the Hotel and room. Very convienant to go to Carlsbad Caverns. We had to get to the Caverns early for the walk up tickets, they were sold out on regular. Don't be fooled, the town of Carlsbad is like an hour from the caverns. Foolish not to stay here to go to the Caverns. My only complaint is the lack of eating places. Bring food and you will be golden.Rooms: The rooms we had was very nice. No security issues, the hotel staff was great.

DO NOT STAY HERE! YOU WILL REGRET IT!!!Called and booked room with king bed guaranteed for one night. After a long day of hiking, we looked forward to staying in a hotel close to the caverns. Unfortunately, we were met with many problems. First, we unloaded all our gear and were settling into our room and discovered the TV did not work. After the one clerk on duty could not get it working, our only choice was to move all our belongings to another room with 2 double beds. Not even queen size. After approx 30 min we discovered the heater was not working. There was nothing the clerk could do but bring us extra blankets. The temp dropped to 8 degrees that night. Very uncomfortable. I requested the manager contact me to be compensated as we clearly did not receive what we paid for. We were offered a $10 discount which is an insult. I was promised the manager/owner would contact me and never did. My most horrible lodging experience ever.Noteworthy details: There was no maintenance or manager on duty to help accommodate us. Clerk was not helpful. Again, worst experience ever!! This review deserves ZERO stars.

Room was adequately stocked, as advertised, clean. Other reviews are spot on with the availability of food/shops. Definitely recommend bringing your own groceries. "Grocery" store across the street is more like a convenience store, expensive and limited stock but will do in a pinch. Desk staff were friendly. Definitely the closest hotel to the caverns. Would visit again.

The location was perfect, the Bed was comfortable and the room was clean. Those are my 3 criteria for my road trips and this place hit the marks. Cafe closing at 3:00 was the reason for the lost star.Rooms: Comfortable bed, spacious room, a little dated, a table and an okay chair, and a refrigerator. I wish the Cafe was opened later than lunch, because I had to drive 25 minutes to the nearest location for food.Nearby activities: Perfect location for Carlsbad Cavern and Guadalupe NP.

We stayed 4 nights while exploring the local national parks and were happy with our experience with the Inn. It was clean, quiet, and staff was very friendly and helpful. Bonus for being dog friendly and a nice grassy area to walk the dogs out front. Only complaint is there not being a place for dinner nearby, but we knew that when booking and Carlsbad is an easy 20 minute drive. Would definitely recommend this place for travelers to Carlsbad Caverns or Guadalupe Mountains National Park.

The rooms at the inn were quite spacious, comfortable, and quite clean. The only thing that was not a positive was the television. Very few channel options and they were quite fuzzy and difficult to watch. The staff was very friendly. It is the perfect location to visit the caverns and close to the Guadalupe Mountains National Park. There is a restaurant on-site called the Cactus Cafe which my family and I were planning on having breakfast at, however, we were informed as we were walking there that the staff all called in sick forcing them to close the restaurant. There are no other options for food unless you drive to Carlsbad which is another 20-25 minute drive. We were disappointed with that due ti the time of our reservation to enter the caverns and having no time to drive to get food. Otherwise a fine stay.

Close to the Carlsbad Caverns NP, and even Guadalupe NP. It was easily one of the best motels I ever stayed. A big room with all the amenities you’d expect. The service was amazing too.NB: The place has a gas station and a gift shop nearby. The gift shop has a tiny grocery too.Rooms: Large rooms, with TV, coffee maker, fridge, microwave, hair dryerNearby activities: Carlsbad caverns, Guadalupe NP

The good: The room was larger than I expected. The staff was friendly. The room had nice appliances in it (fridge and microwave). It had a nice tall/ergonomic toilet. The TV was nice, but the satellite service from DirectTV was awful and kept cutting out. There was breakfast available. The not-so-good: the wi-fi kept cutting in and out. This is personal preference, but I thought the beds were too soft, though I tend to like firm mattresses. The breakfast was pretty limited.I went in November, so the pool and everything was closed for the season. In short: the room was decently large, and surprisingly functional. There wasn't a lot of glamour, but everything did its job very well and as you would expect. They are also incredibly convenient for the Guadalupe Mountains and Carlsbad National Parks. For a 1-star hotel in a small town where it was the only option, this was quite nice.

Very close to both Guadalupe national Park and Carlsbad Caverns National Park. Rooms were clean and the front desk was friendly . No restaurant nearby so still had to drive to Carlsbad for dinner and to the grocery store to pick up food for breakfast the next day. Hotel breakfast is just pre-packacked baked goods, coffee, juice and cereal. I would return.

Quiet and a comfortable stay close to Carlsbad Caverns NP and Guadalupe Mountain NP. The staff was very helpful. It is one of the closest motels close to the NP but no food options available close by except for the cactus cafe which runs for limited hours and when we went there they did not have food available because their truck did not come in that morning, your closest option is Carlsbad which is about 20 mins drive. Recommended only if planning to visit Carlsbad and Guadalupe NP.

First of all, the room was very nice for being in the middle of rural New Mexico! The room was spacious with huge ceilings, comfy beds, and a nice bathroom area too. However, what really stood out was the incredible service from the hotel staff. I left my AirPods in the hotel room, but didn't realize until I was back home in East Texas. Valerie at the inn went on an escapade to find them, and she did! She offered to mail them back home to me, and I couldn't be more grateful. I can't thank the staff enough for a great experience both at the inn and after my visit.

They have large, clean rooms in good repair. They have larger sized mini fridges. Some of the TV channels were fuzzy which they explained were a problem that they were having with the cable and phone lines. It was quiet, and felt very safe - no sketchy individuals hanging around. We missed the breakfast because we had such a nice sleep, but it was only coffee, juice and a muffin, so we didn't really care. The employee at the check in/out desk went out of her way to tell us about possible places to eat in the town of Carlsbad after we came back from watching the bat flight since it was late and food service in White's City was closed.

My wife and I went on a three night excursion to Carlsbad. We wanted quiet and away from traffic, but wanted to be close to the National Park. Unbeknownst to us, not only were we right at the entrance to Carlsbad Caverns NP, but we were also only 35 miles from Guadalupe Mountain NP. Also, it made it convenient to catch the Bat Flight at the Caverns at dusk. As for the hotel, it was a clean room and a decent pool. It would be a great summer family stop because of the slides and splash pad associated with the hotel. The Restaurant next door had excellent breakfast. The stay made for a relaxing trip.

Would stay again! Clean, large room, beds were firm and comfortable, dog friendly for a very reasonable fee ($20), best location near the Carlsbad Caverns! Wanted to use the splash pad but the season is ending so the water wasn’t running.Nearby activities: Only 15 minutes from Carlsbad Caverns
