The place smells and the soap was out. Allsups tends to do a poor job of keeping their restrooms clean. They always smell too. This one has a wide selection of grocery items for locals. The women’s smelled ok. FYI my wife takes those photos.

Warning this was last Friday at approximately 10pm . We were traveling 285 North out of Roswell area headed to Albuquerque and needed to stop for gas and a bathroom break. As soon as we pulled up a few sketchy individuals started watching me and my wife and our vehicle which had a large luggage rack on top. We were obvious travelers. They began talking in Spanish, my wife is hispanic.. and she told me to leave now. I immediately pulled out and took 285 North towards I 40. A truck and white car immediately followed us all the way near the I 40 ramp. I will never travel this area at night again. We are both capable and ready to protect ourselves and ours but it shouldn't be that way. This is a long lonely stretch of highway so fuel up before you hit it and avoid this area at night. Wasn't a cop in sight. Mind you it is almost 60 miles of nothing from this gas station and I 40.

I love the "new" Allsup's Convenience Store in Vaughn, NM; a definite upgrade from the previous location. I love the fact they have well-maintained Francis Energy EV fast chargers (located at the rear of the store). I like their coffee and the restrooms were "okay" today. The young blond working the register was friendly and efficient. However, I cannot give 5-stars because of a very negative interaction with a heavy-set Hispanic woman working the burrito counter.There was line at the cash register that wrapped around the burrito counter. I was standing there with my 81-yo dad taking about how I fondly remembered buying their burritos when I was younger (while waiting for our turn to get to the cash register). This about 11:30am on 2/18/24, if that matters. The woman behind the burrito counter harshly said, "If you want a burrito, you need to order it at the counter". Okay, no big deal, but then she turned her back to me and resumed talking to a young kid that was loitering on the other side of the counter (possibly her son), and said loud enough for everyone to hear something to the effect, "People are so dumb, they can't read the sign that says order at the register." She went on to tell her son, "Even the big, flashing restroom sign, they walk in and ask where is the restroom". They both laughed. Needless to say, I did not order a burrito at the cash register. FYI, the burrito display case was over-stocked with every greasy food one can imagine, her negative attitude could be one reason that stuff wasn't selling.I appreciate the fact the owner reads and responds to reviews; it isn't my place to say, but I recommend he/she focuses efforts on finding better management, keeping the restrooms and public facing areas absolutely spotless at all times, and ensuring employees provide a high level of customer service, always. You have a great location, but take a look at how QT, Mavericks, or Buckee's handles customer service.

Google search for this store as well as Google maps says this is a 24-hour location.I pulled in approximately 9: 40 pm. I pumped $140 worth of diesel into my rv.I walked to the front of the store to go in and use the bathroom and buy food and snacks and a 12 pack of soda and a pack of water. I got all the way to the door before the girl on the other side makes the cutting gesture and indicating that they're closed. And points to a hand- written piece of paper taped to the doorn that says oh we are now closed from 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.Except she had at least five 18 wheelers at the pumps and waiting at the pumps and then she had at least five or six more cars at the gas pumps not including mine.And at some point she had to open the door and let a whole group of people out.First of all why is the truck stop closed? It's a truck stop. On a major highway.Second of all, she had everything all locked up and ready to go and she still had customers. Who does that?I've never heard of a business that didn't want to make money before.

Even though this is a relatively new gas station, nothing seems to be working. Diesel pumps out of service, toilets out of service, these basic needs for any gas station.

Decent place to park, clean outside, says two hour limit on parking? Has two EV charging stations, room for several 18 wheelers.. no good food to speak of unless you like the fried allsups stuff, not for me .

Very glad to have this station working. However, on 11/11/23 I was surprised to find a major construction job happening. A bathroom facility is being installed immediately next to the chargers. It is a mess and only one station was accessible. But the guys were very friendly, helpful, and working very hard on a late Saturday afternoon.

This locale is slow to empty their trash receptacles. This only complicates the trash situation along the Llano Estacado as this is a high wind area.

Fairly decent place, went in last night to use restroom, it was a train wreck. Purchased some stuff lady at register was great. Sketchy people hanging out in the store but ok I guess. Went in to get coffee this morning, Hispanic lady at register was rude, I seen most of her clothes had Mexico flags and Mexican pride on them, seems right be rude to a 22 year American Vet but be proud of Mexico. I guess free benefits are all there here for.

Workers are rude. Older woman with short white hair would rather talk to the gas guy than to give us our food. The gas guy was not even interested in what she was saying. Big store but small aisles. Small selection of coffee. Sign said they can make any item on the menu at any time, short haired woman said no because they were busy but there was no one behind me and no one infront of me then she proceeded to talk to the gas guy. Come for gas and to use the restroom. DO NOT COME FOR ANYTHING ELSE.

This place is really bad, restrooms are always dirty. Not a good place for truck drivers to stop and clean up. I'm telling my other trucker friends not to stop here. Also cashiers are always on there phones and not tending to customers, I've walked out leaving what I want to buy in front of them.

This place is pretty awful. All 3 urinals in the men’s restroom were covered with black plastic bags, indicating out of order. No soap for hand washing. There was a trash can blocking an exit right in front of the interior of the store. All outdoor trash cans were overflowing.

Made a pit stop here on the way down 285. Bathrooms were clean, coffee was fresh and delicious, and the staff were very friendly! Grabbed some of the spicy chicken bites and they hit the spot for my cravings on the road.

Wow, I amazed with how bad the customer service was here. We came thru after being on on road for 15 hours. The bathrooms were very dirty. I had to take wipes in to clean the toilet in order for my children to use it. We wanted food but they only wanted to give us the old food that looked dry and sitting for hours. The lady did want to serve us when I asked to get the fresh food. She asked us to leave.

This new place is 100% better than the old one since it’s a new building but you can tell that the management is the same since the bathrooms look like they have not been cleaned since they opened up. It is unfortunate because the installations are very nice but if they keep it up it’s going to be a disgusting pig sty just like the old place. They don’t even refill the soap. The sink and mirror are disgusting and it’s full of flies. Please do better

GO DOWN THE ROAD TO THE CONOCO FOR FOOD!!!Seriously, don't waste your time here. I went to every establishment w/ burritos in Vaughn and Alsups IS THE WORST. I even went back a second time because a friend raved about the green chili chimichanga. The service is bad; I stood at the counter waiting to order for about 5 minutes before being told that I can order at the register. So I go to the register and order the green chili chimi and whatever the world famous burrito is, swipe my card, only for the clerk to come back saying sorry they don't have the green chili chimi. Great. I already paid for it, customers are waiting, I tell the guy just to throw an equivalent in the bag. If I could go back in time I would be a total Karen and request a refund because whatever the alternative was is trash. It's all trash. I will tell every blue-collar burrito eating mofer I know to skip Alsups.

Omg!!! I'm freaking disgusted, COMPLETELY. I feel sorry for the rest of yalls customers even ur regulars. The woman's bathroom was repulsive. Talk about dirty, flithly, unclean, no toilet seat covers and no toilet paper. I had to grab some t.p. off their shelf to use. I left 2 rolls and paid for them on my way out. I let the cashier know, as well as his male co-worker, even though they are males, there are a few different ways they can clean the Females restroom. Of course the look on their faces said plenty, where I can only assume they could care less, about the bathroom or me NEVER RETURNING TO THEIR STORE!!! to the manager, ur welcome.Have a good evening and week.

This is a prime example of how Allsups extorts poor rural communities for convenience tax but doesn't actually use any of the money to provide better service. This Allsups is a one of many where it is the dominant store in town but they put as little money as possible into maintaining the store and keeping it stocked. Example, one hand dryer and one working soap dispenser for two sinks. This store has working men coming in and out all day long and we can't get some better hand cleaner? Maybe some paper towels on the men's room? Not to mention the cleanliness or the fact that I pulled up at 4 am and they were closed, the nearest public restroom is 45 mins away. They apparently don't have enough employees to stay open all night.I was talking to one of the locals and from her perspective the reason this town is like that is because nobody here wants to work. Gotta love those democrat states! Clean your store, fix the restroom, stock your shelves, pay your employees better for running such a busy store. Show some pride.

I was so excited when this was being built, but sadly it’s been completely run down. Trash everywhere every time we stop, no toilet paper and rarely any soap in the bathrooms. Very few employees wear masks, even when mandated by the Governor. What a shame. This could be a great stop. But instead it’s a dump.

Lorina Ortega is a stuck up Karen. Friendly staff, clean store, nice restrooms. Excellent place for a pit stop. I have nothing bad to say about this station. Tiny town in the middle of no where and they still treat everyone with friendly respect.

My husband and I were passing through en route to Indiana. We were driving in separate vehicles; he was pulling an RV. Approximately 12 miles before even reaching Vaughn NM, my truck started having trouble. I drove 20 miles under the speed limit, with hazards on until we could reach Vaughn; the next nearest town. There was nowhere to pull over but we were happy to see a 24 hour Allsups especially since it was 12:30am! That was until my husband went in asking where we could park for the night since I couldn’t drive on. The young girl barely acknowledged him. She stated that she only goes from home to work and therefore doesn’t know of any parking lots in town. Really? The town is tiny and 75% of the businesses are vacant! She suggested the dirt lot next door however the condition of the lot would’ve damaged the RV. He went back in and begged for some advice. The gentleman there tried to offer advice while she rudely turned her back and kept scrubbing the griddle. This girl needs a refresher course not only on customer service but human decency. Perhaps one day she’ll find herself stranded over 1,000 miles from home, in an unfamiliar town and someone will be just as unpleasant, rude, uncaring and as unhelpful as she was.

I liked it . There was bread and milk . They have hot cooked food like burritos etc . The staff was friendly and quite cheerful. The store was clean . The only issue was there was no soap in the restroom but other than that I would recommend them.

Loved the restrooms! We are from Farmington, NM and we traveled to Carlsbad Caverns then back home to Farmington and this was by far the best restroom we stopped at and used. Very clean! If we ever make that trip again or go thru we'll definitely try to just stop here! 😂 friendly service as well

Not a clean place. They only have a restroom for women & one for men which is very inconvenient. Not to mention they look & smell as if they haven't been cleaned in a while. If they start cleaning & make bigger restrooms WITH STALLS! it could be a good place for a pit stop.

On my road trip in New Mexico, needed gas and a break. The restrooms were clean and busy at this time. Many were stopping here for a break just like me. A cold drink and 2 beef/beans burrito's to go. Mmmm a good deal always.

Coming from Cali I've been through here twice I love how you can buy some snacks an lil bit of groceries. The only gripe I have is the lady's room. Over flowing Trash cans and empty toilet paper holders. Guy's must do better

Big difference from what it used to be since Allsups bought it. Takes plenty of fuel cards. I used EFS clean store. Restrooms decent.plenty of parking on mostly paved lot. Dirt lot next to store.
