Hi, I’m a local resident in Tijeras and have had been over charged on more then 10 occasions. I brought this on going issue to Connie and Russel and have been banned indefinitely since! I suggest if u go to this store, be aware of the prices and what u are being charged for! Good luck to all!

I have been going to the Morning Star for decades. Connie and Russell are terrific people. It is such a blessing to have them and their store for all of us in this area. And they put in Alot of hours to be there for our needs.

Always friendly here, been going for years and never had any bad experiences. Love the convenience of the grocery selection to avoid those longer trips to town for basic needs. Glad to have this place around!

The lady could not get the orders right after being told at least 3x's. Then she gave our order to someone else luckily it was our friend. The food was less than good, would not recommend unless someone else works and cooks the food

The classic rustic store in the woods. You can get a cup of coffee, a newspaper and even a green chili burger. They are always welcoming to bicycle riders who stop in for a bite to eat. Thanks for the water and all the eats.

We live around here, and it's nice not to have to go into town when you want just a bag of chips or a gallon of milk. The grill is convenient as well when you want a burger.

I recently moved to tijeras in November and stopped here on a few occasions. Im a Little over a mile away. Tonight i walked from my home to their store. I only have a toaster oven so was looking for a small pizza.they cut one up in half! I love this place!

They are the best! If you live on South 14 , this is the place! Order a pizza on your way home from work, run out of butter, sugar, etc? Post about a lost dog ,done. They are so nice.

Although this is a convenient location, I don't feel like it is very friendly toward all of the cyclists that like to visit here when they climb up the canyon. They have a minimum dollar threshold you have to reach in order to use a credit card, so given that a coke will cost about $2.00, you have to remember to bring cash, or be content with buying a bunch of extra groceries you don't necessarily want. Also, there are outhouses out front that are usually disgusting. I wish they would take better care of them.

Connie and Russell are the best. Nice store with a great selection. Convenient location on top of the mountain. Plus they cook! Great pit stop on a long journey or on the way home.

Friendly folks. Good people. A good place to get a Monzano Burger n Fries or soda or Pizza, not to mention household items.I recently tried their Chicken Fried Steak Sandwich. It was awesome!

I went pinon picking yesterday.. Shhh..don't tell everyone??? I was starving and went here to grab a few snacks.. Ended up getting a Cheese burger... It was the best burger I've had in a long time.. Thumbs up Morning 🌟

I love The Morning Star Grocery because of its convenient location mostly. They have an extensive menu . The food was excellent the service was fast and friendly. Its a quaint little place up in the mountains.

Convenient for us mountain folk. Needs an inner face lift though...very outdated and feels a little dirty. Prices are extremely high...but that's the price you pay for not driving into town to grab some forgotten items. ;)

Great little store with the friendliest people. For where it is located you can't expect to find everything you may want but they will probably have what you need.
