Don’t judge this place by the outside appearance. My husband and I ate here while passing through NM and so happy we did! One of the best burgers I’ve ever eaten and get the green chili. I hope they stick around the area because we are looking forward to eating here again on our next west adventure!

I would've given give stars but they messed up my son's order and we had to turn around from the freeway and go back.Other than that, the burgers are fantastic and their fries are fresh peeled potatoes cooked freshly for each order.I highly recommend!

My partner said his burger was good. The fries were decent. I got chilli cheese fries and they tasted okay but I had to use my fingers to eat them because they “ran out of forks.” They also did not provide any napkins, ketchup, mustard, etc. my kiddos corn dog was sooooo deep fried on the outside or warmed but rock hard. The hot dog on the inside was cold!! It’s just unsettling and unappetizing to have a cold hot dog. The building and parking lot are so sketchy looking.

You will have to pay attention to make sure you don't drive by it, as their signage is simple, but you won't want to miss this place because the food there is top notch. You get generous portion sizes, plus it is all hot, fresh, and pretty tasty! Just be careful on what size you order. The smallest they have is a "normal" size burger. Order their largest and you might find yourself sharing a burger! Also, for those pulling a trailer, you should be fine. The parking is pretty spacious and you can also park on the street if you need to. Don't expect to dine in, though. There's no seating inside.

First time stopping at the local burger joint in Thoreau,NM. The burgers are made fresh. It certainly hit the spot. Smelled so delicious, Next time I go by, I'll order me a deluxe. Stop by and give it a try. Their a bit on the pricey side, which is why I tried the kid version. But no shame. Just giving you a heads up.When you order, they bring your order out to you in the vehicle. My guess is they prefer you wait outside, instead of waiting inside.

*note: there is no dine in option, only take out.I pre-judged this place by the look of the building, which is quite run down, but gave it a go anyway due to the good reviews and was not disappointed. Although the building isn’t in great shape, the kitchen was spotless. The fries are made to order and are delicious. The burgers taste homemade, aren’t greasy, and are cooked to perfection. The two gentleman working there are super polite and really friendly. Would definitely eat here again!

About a mile off the 40 but the food was worth it. I saw this place on Google as I searched for places to eat on the road back home near Albuquerque. While it's nowhere near Albuquerque I'm glad we drove the extra couple of hours. The burgers are huge and delicious, and the corn dogs were freshly made. Don't sleep on the corn dogs!

Perfect Burger! Unbelievably good.The meat comes in 3 sizes 1/4 , 1/2 , and 1 pound. I got a 1/2 lb cheeseburger with fries and it was enough with a fantastic taste.

Saw the billboard for this place and decided why not?! Boy, what a great decision that was! Don't let the prices scare you off, the burgers are huge and the fries are fresh cut skin on potato style. We didn't know that our combo came with soft serve cones until the lady came out to the car, apologized for not telling us and then asked which ones we wanted. Great customer service and great food!!

Burgers were good and well put together. Was a bit hesitant because of the prices but after getting order it was right for the price. The staff were friendly and customer service was great, the soda was good and not to waterd down like other establishments and gas stations. Would have given them a 5 but the fries were to soggy and soft, was surprised because there cooking equipment looked new. Over all I was satisfied with BAB but for now I will just order the burger and soda .

decided to try local instead of chains. Worth the short drive off of I-40. Both of us got bacon cheese burgers which were fresh and delicious. Even brought food out to the car for us and gave us free ice cream!!! Love that they are fresh cut curly fries BUT they were way too too greasy and undercooked. maybe double fry them? Would totally give them another chance if we were in the area. next time I would try the onion rings.

Don't sleep on this burger shack. Their burgers are true to their namesake and made fresh to order. Corndogs are some of the best as well. Wife and I stopped in hungry and left full n' happy. Customer service is top notch to boot. Will be back in while we're in the area.

Now I can see what the whole deal is about this place. It maybe small and not much to look at but the burgers they crank outta this place is off the hook. I use to love Lotaburgers because they use to make their burgers the same way almost. But when my oldest daughter and I stopped in for a quick lunch break on our way home. We decided to try this place out, talk about WOW..... I talked my husband into stopping by and trying it out. He loves it, so yeah we will be stopping in again to have some of your delicious burgers.

A must stop when traveling down the I-40... Great burgers, fries made from potatoes on the spot (needs more salt). They have burgers from 1/4lbs to 2lbs!They now do breakfast as well!

Saw a billboard advertising this place along I-40 so we decided to check it out. What a great decision! Burgers were tasty and they gave us free ice cream too! They're currently doing curbside ordering so we didn't even have to get out of our car. What a perfect lunch stop along I-40!

Awesome burgers!2lb burger could be a challenge. I only had the 1/2lb burger and it was good. My hubby had the 1ib burger. Cooked just right not dry and not too greasy. You can't go wrong with the curly fries either. 😋
