Something great is going on here. The decor is a little strange and cozy, I guess that matches Taos in general - but look past that and you’ll find amazing food here.We’ve tried the Cuban sandwich (phenomenal), Greek salad (scrumptious), green chilli soup (spicy) and the brisket Mac and cheese. Just 11/10 on everything.I forgot to take pictures forgive me!

We've eaten here a couple of times under the current ownership and are really happy with the experience. Highly recommended. Great quality at a reasonable price point.Highly recommend the Cubano, papas w/ chile y queso and carnitas, blue corn pancakes (Sunday only). Brisket Mac and cheese was good too.I probably wouldn't order pizza again but my kids liked it. Not bad but not as good as the rest.I need to try the red chile by itself before I am convinced, but it might be the best I've had after 20+ years here in NM.

I love the Trading Post. Everything I've tried there has been very good. In the winter, you can sit in front of the kiva for heat, or in warmer weather, you can be seated on the porch. It's my "go-to" place.That review was for the "old" trading post.This review applies to the Trading Post Market and Cafe. My wife and I eat here several times each week. Between my wife and I, we have tried almost everything on the menu. Probably would have completed the menu if it wasn't for the daily specials, which are changed every day! We have never been disappointed with the service, atmosphere, and especially the meals. To me, each dish is a work of art! The preparation, appearance, and most importantly, the flavor would stand up in any "big" city. Ky, the owner and chef, trained in NYC, has assembled a staff of highly qualified professionals. We love going there. The menu is always evolving, and Ky introduces new items through the specials. I guess you can tell we love this place and recommend it to everyone who asks and even to those who don't. This Trading Post is our "new" go-to place. I hope you go and enjoy your meal and make it your go-to eatery. We go for lunch and dinner, depending on the day. We do dine in and take out.

This should definitely be a must visit for any Taoseño and any tourist. Great service, wonderful environment. I had the best Rueben here (since working at a top-notch deli years back). Have also received positive feedback from friends on the Green Chili Cheesesteak. Dinner entrees are said to be outstanding, as well. We definitely want this gem to stick around. Support with a visit. 👍They also have ice cream for these hot days lately...along with other desserts and some groceries featured in fridges.

Had the chimichanga with smoked chicken (daily special), caprese salad . My wife had green Chile stew and we tried the Reuben. PHENOMENAL!!!!!Everything about this place was awesome, food ambiance service. Chef was present and running a very smooth and delicious service. You don’t need anywhere else in Taos, this is head and shoulders above everything else in town.

Rarely is a five star given because rarely are they found. This rating is SOLELY on the dishes tried, not atmosphere or service. Carpaccio is perfect! Spot on and by adding to the sourdough bread dipped in a wee bit of evoo and balsamic, your taste buds are gonna be in love. Angel hair with mushrooms and gorganzola sauce is rich with a deep woodsy element and chicken that could not be prepared any better. Piccata is not the usual, but be prepared to be happy! Saffron rice that would be found with authentic paella accompanies this dish, chicken is absolute perfection, crisp and lightly breaded and melt in your mouth tender, broccoli, tomato side will remind you of travels to remote southern Italy.Prices are a very nice surprise, and add to the positives of Trading Post Café. Make no assumptions of the meal you're going to experience by the atmosphere or service, which is genuine and tries. Not being in the 'tourist' part of Taos, Trading Post Café looks to be a local fav, which the locals most likely love it that way! This restaurant is a MUST try for flavors, textures and a meal you'll want again. Hands down the best meal this reviewer has experienced in New Mexico, no exceptions!
