The room was very spacious and clean. Small, cabinet refrigerator is convenient. Large shower. Bathroom had an extra toilet paper roll. Plenty of fluffy towels.I checked in using the App. When we arrived, I attempted to acquire a digital key, but because I was not logged into their network, the digital key was always "pending". After several attempts to acquire the digital key white standing outside the door, I finally walked back down to the front desk to obtain a card key. I mentioned to the desk clerk that I couldn't log into the network and therefore could not obtain the digital key.It was only in the morning when I commented that I could not log into the network, the desk clerk (not the one from when I arrived) stated that this facility uses a code, not the room number. The desk clerk on duty when I arrived should have mentioned the code requirement to log onto the network.Breakfast was okay. Scrambled eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy, cereals, yogurt, granola, fruit, toast and pastries. The buffet staff person was very friendly, ensuring we had everything we needed.Four stars because of the code requirement for the network when in other facilities, name and room number suffice.

This hotel is amazing! Every single staff member we met was extremely friendly, helpful and just so nice! The breakfast was incredibly delicious and there were plenty of hot and cold options you don’t usually see. The room was super clean, comfortable and well taken care of. Not sure why people said the hotel needs an upgrade, that was not the case. The pool was amazing and nice and warm and great for doing laps. We brought our two small dogs and the room was also loved by them. The staff is VERY dog friendly and always greeted them with a smile This is the only hotel we will ever stay in when we come back to Taos. I highly recommend staying here. Thanks for an AMAZING three days!

The hotel sits primarily on the southern end of Taos NM but easily drivable to and from restaurants, plaza, gorge, Pueblo, and galleries. The rooms are very clean, and the bathroom counter space is plentiful. Free hot breakfast is included in reservation.Rooms: Clean efficient rooms with modern facilities.Nearby activities: Taos is filled with places to visit as noted above, and all are drivable in under 20 minutes from the hotel.Food & drinks: The free breakfast offers many hot and cold items, along with hot coffee, teas, and juices.

This hotel is clean. Breakfast was very good. However, for the price, not worth the noise.Staff runs the vacuum in the hallway in front of our room when we were trying to fall back asleep.Stayed 2 nights and the people above us sounded like herds of buffalo at night and the wee hours of the morning. Both noisy adults and kids. Not sure why young children are placed on upper levels of the hotel when there are plenty of rooms available on level 1.Rooms: Rooms are clean for the most part!Noise will keep you awake though!

I have been a Hilton rewards member for a very long time and have stayed at this hotel many times over the years. I am sad to say that this location has declined in the quality of rooms and amenities. The staff is kind and as helpful as they can be, however there are so many issues that are beyond their control. The hot tub has not worked in months, the pool works again, but looks cloudy. They used to have8 whirlpool tub rooms, now they only have 3. I booked a room with the specific amenities of a whirlpool tub, but it was given to another guest who extended thier stay, while I was given a handicapped room nd offered a $10/night discount.I stayed one night, couldn't sleep bc of all the noise and the curtains where broken and I had a bright street light in my room all night.I switched my stay to El Monte Sagrado, I little more expensive, but totally worth it!!! All the amenities at El Monte are in working order, the property is peaceful and they have so much more to offer.Rooms: Need alot of work.

This has been our go to place to stay in Taos for over 20 years. It is easy to get to with ample parking. It used to have a very “New Mexico” vibe and updated clean rooms. We stayed there recently and were very disappointed. The man at the front desk didn’t even make eye contact and seemed like he didn’t want to be there. The main lobby is now very bland and the carpet was filthy. Our room was ok. The bed was uncomfortable and the pillows were small and cheap. The nightstand in between the beds was literally held on by tape and was hanging precariously to one side. The bathroom did seem to be remodeled.I am sad to say we will not be staying here again.

It's pretty nice, but there are some underlying signs of wear. The second floor is odd, walking down the hall sounds like elephants even if you try to walk quiet. Second is the pool situation was disappointing. I stayed off and on for a month and only the last visit did it appear to be in repairs. If the pool isn't available the hotel should update the website. The last thing for the service star is the breakfast people either play political radio (right by the big TV) or complain when greeted. Not a good look. Overall, it's not bad for the price.

This a great location and easy to get to all the places of interest in Taos. The staff here was friendly and helpful upon arrival and during the breakfast. They made an effort with cute fall decorations throughout the lobby area. However, the hotel overall is in need of maintenance and a deep cleaning. The carpets looked dingy and stained, there were light fixtures hanging off the ceiling in the hallway, the furniture in our room looked worn out, and the bathtub was stained. There was a handle missing on the door to the stairs, and for some reason most of the parking lot adjacent to the hotel is blocked off and covered in weeds. The a/c in our room worked ok but it was definitely stuffy and not as cool as it should have been. Our beds seemed clean at least, and the breakfast was adequate-waffles, omelette, potatoes and sausage were on offer along with cereal, bagels, and muffins. It was also quiet. I understand that in Taos you're going to pay more for a standard room than in other places, but this is the most expensive Hampton Inn room we've ever stayed in and it's not up to the quality we normally expect when staying in a Hilton/Hampton property.

A bug in my bed (not bed bugs some sort of beetle). Stair door is missing a handle, entire floor shakes when you walk, Huge stain on the floor.. hot tub broken, poor parking situation, door to room only unlocks some times.... the list goes on. I'll definitely find somewhere else next time I'm in town

We had a wonderful stay here. The man at the front desk tonight was so kind and helpful. The pool is heated and clean. The rooms were comfortable and clean as well. I would definitely recommend staying at this hotel. It was a lovely time.Rooms: Rooms were clean and conveniently located. Nothing was missing or busted/broken. We enjoyed it immensely.Nearby activities: Gosh. Where to begin. This town has so much history. There are many things to do and plenty of restaurants to grab a bite to eat or a margarita.Safety: The doors are locked up. Only the door to the front desk is unlocked without a room key. Doors are sturdy and have multiple locksWalkability: Right next to a dollar general store

The front desk host was very professional and accommodating. The room was severely disappointing. The carpet was stained and disgusting. The one chair in the room was broken and unusable. The parking lot was in poor condition with large potholes. This hotel is far below the standard of a Hampton Hotel. I will not stay here again.

I'm a sales rep and when I get to my room after a long day of traveling I catch up on emails and computer work. This locations internet was completely out. Hotspotted my phone to PC as a solution. I was unable to get much accomplished as my attention was constantly drawn by a small group of guest being extremely loud and disruptive in the hotel lobby. Vending machines cash only due to internet issues with no snack bar available at front desk. Bring cash or youll be leaving for beverages. Room wasn't awful, but there is a lack of attention to detail when cleaning. Shower looked pretty corroded with possibly mold. Not a big fan of carpet, especially that is stained. 3 or 4 options within a 6 mile radius offering stays for the same price. Will be giving them a shot next trip out.

At all cost, do not stay here. The rooms are damaged, black mold In the shower. Bug on my pillow when I woke. Broken furniture, chair leans forward when you sit in it, asked for a replacement. It was just as bad. The new guy up front was nice, he just started 2 weeks ago, I hope he can turn this place around or find another job.Should have stayed at the Taos Motor Lodge. Room 110 and 202 (I changed rooms, the one I changed to had the bugs and black mold)

Room is dirty, TV stand is broken, toilet has not been thoroughly scrubbed in months, dogs are barking inside the hotel, shower barley has hot water, low water pressure, cabinet below TV is broken, this room is a mess. I would expect this quality room from a no tell motel but not this chain. The good news is it cost more then everywhere else in town.

July 2023Save your money. This place was in poor condition. The public areas were hot.The staff was not friendly at check in or check out.Fitness room was hot and the treadmill didn't work.Guest laundry was out of order. The landscape was unkept. New trees in pots to be planted were dying or dead.Breakfast area also hot but adequately supplied. We have been Hilton Honors for the past 15 + years. To say that the Hampton Inn. Taos NM was a disappointment is an understatement. How it can be part of the Hilton family is hard to imagine. Did not come close to the many other Hilton properties we have visited from Florida to Maine as well as Texas, Colorado, Washington State, Montana and countless other areas we have visited. We are in our late 70's and have been traveling since retirement 15 years ago.Since leaving Taos we have stayed in four more locations none of which have been Hilton properties. And it will take some time before we get this experience out of our system.Good luck on fixing this location.Noteworthy details: On check in I informed the front desk the public men's room had no soap nor paper towels. When I used it again later and the next morning still the same condition.

Monique was great at check in, explained breakfast hours and pool hours. My family and I stayed for the weekend, we had three rooms and all were comfortable, clean and in good condition. Dolores was the breakfast attendant and she is incredible! Food was yummy, there was a variety of options, she kept the area clean stocked up and coffee full. Andrew had the freshly baked cookies in the evening, nice snack. The pool and jacuzzi were open. The location is good, we walked to the Thrift store next door and the Dollar General was on the other side, walking distance as well.Memorable family vacation, we are definitely coming back!!

This hotel was a disappointment for Hilton standards.Very basic room.Bed was not comfortable.Walls super thin. You could hear noise from next room. On top of it there was someone on next floor who was jumping till 11:30 PM.Bathroom was the only good thing.Breakfast was average.

There were some significant issues with our stay. There was a smoke detector outside the door that chirped all night, the remote for the TV did not work, there was no hot water in the shower, and the phone in the room would not call the front desk. Very disappointed in the conditions of this room and property.Update: I emailed Support as requested with details of our horrible experience. The auto reply said, "Please allow 3 days for a response." FIVE WEEKS LATER I sent a follow-up email. I finally received a reply apologizing for the poor conditions, assurances that they were working to fix the property, and a few points credited to my Hilton Honors account. Very poor customer service. My days of being a Hampton person are over.

Worst experience ever , our room door never shut we asked the receptionist to fix or change our room they didn't do either we stayed 3 nights and they never came to clean even after calling and asking multiple times , I'm a diamond member and this happened , save your money and stay I'm a decent hotel that cares , breakfast would get finished fast , just not worth it at all door stints tooRooms: The rooms are old and broken see my video door opens up without keys I hope my stuff is not stolen will have to check when I get back home.Noteworthy details: Didn't clean my rooms even once 3 nights stay, broken door ,price too high 150 per night and breakfast gets finished in 1 hr

I have to start saying that I never write a review but I felt obligated to write this one to save the pain to the next person.Unfortunately I have to give a very poor review. This is just my experience on a ski family trip w my family this last Dec (we booked 2 rooms) in the highest season so very expensive for this hotel… But besides the price, we never had towels in the room, room was never clean (even though we spent a whole wk there and the rule is minimum 4 nights for them to clean it… every morning the front desk would apologize but the next day we would run into the exact same issue). The breakfast was very basic and they run out of food before the closing time but no replacement was offered. The worse part of all, the general manager Josh Herrera is afraid to talk to the customers. I was able to talk to him for 5min, after asking for him every night (he was always busy), about my stay and he apologized and said he would call me back with a solution… 3 months later, I have left him over 10 messages and front desk confirms he knows but he does not want to talk.I even called Hilton about this and they say he never talked to me… all lies!Making a long story short, do not go to this hotel or you will regret it!PS: gym is smaller and with less equipment than a small/basic home gym.
