Lots of great food items! Well stocked with organic, vegan, gluten free options. At check out there were only two check out clerks and at least 7 people in each line. After about 10 mins waiting they brought out a 3 clerk and that really sped up the check out process.

While visiting from Iowa, my sister took my to the liquor store in the back (separate building from the food market). Super clean and organized. Extremely kind and helpful staff. Will def go there again on my next visit!

Great little grocery spot in Taos off of I64! They will likely have everything you need to stock up on for / during your trip. They have a good selection of produce, meat, coffee, jam, waters, pretty much every essential you'd need.Right next door you also have their spirits and beer options that are all reasonably priced. One great thing about this location is the fact there is a bus station providing easy access should you not have a car during your stay in Taos.

They have a selection of items you cannot buy at other stores in Taos. They carry a rose flavored sparkling lemonade that is very delicious! 😋

This is my Taos friend's favorite market and no wonder why. It features real food with cool people in a dynamite atmosphere. Crazy murals adorn the space and you'll find every natural/organic food item that you're used to buying here as well as anywhere. The meat department and veggie section stand out for excellence in selection and especially quality. What a great team of employees, too. Very efficient and making sure that Cid's is always the best.

In comparison to other organic stores quite expensive and could have more attractive selection.

Great selection of healthy items from food to herbal medicine. The prepared foods and salad bar were exactly what I needed after a long day and not wanting to go to a restaurant to eat.The staff was very friendly and helpful.

The store is really well maintained but my main issue is the cashiers. They didn't even said hi or anything to acknowledge us. I'm not the one to start a conversation but come on, at least be polite. Not only that but the bag lady that has a purple crop top with a butterfly on it was picking at her belly button really hard and the cashier with her seems very mesmerized by it. Really freaking gross. This happened on August 12 at 14:30 if the owners actually read the reviews.

Flies in the bakery case, breakfast sandwich hard as a rock and decided not to purchase anything because every staff member at the check out lanes were on their phones. What happend to this place? If you are going to price gouge and charge $2.50 for a single cookie at least give the customers, and the gross store some attention.

Like uncooked jasmine rice (passed off as cooked Saffron Almond Rice) @ $6.99/lb)? Cid's is the place to go.Like cakes with so much sugar in the frosting that you can't taste the cake or the filling? Cid's is the place to go.Like pies that have been hideously amateur for years? Longing for Chocolate Maven pies like they used to carry? Cid's is the place to go.Like to pay $4-$5+ each for pastries instead of $3 for excellent Chocolate Maven goods, which Cid's just raised the price of by 33%? Cid's is the place to go.Like to pay $7 for a humus sandwich that has upwards of a teaspoon of humus in it? Cid's is the place to go.As for the deli, they FINALLY stopped having the food cart block access to it 2 to 3 times a day. That should help sales. There are many good points to Cid's and their pricing structure is really their business. Organic or not, quality is what people assume they are paying for and what is not to be had in so many of the in-house ready to go foods there. Not holding my breath for improvements.

This is a fabulous place of you’re also a tourist looking for unique gifts for friends and family. The prices for quality products is fair; in fact local pinon coffee better priced than any shop on the plaza. I love the deli for nice good options when you tire of restaurants. Thanks for being here!

Reminded me of Whole Foods, but pricier. $20 for one small bottle of sunscreen?!? However, the salads are fresh, the product selection is good. We found everything we needed quickly. Interesting people watching, if you’re into that. Why closed on Sundays?

Solid grocery store. Great hot bar and pre-made salads! I’d recommend heading over here for produce and speciality items.Field Day is supposed to be a cost effective organic brand as an answer to the brands who charge a ton for the organic label, but CID’s has them marked up at the same price. The co-op carries Field Day for a couple of bucks less per item.If you’re needing everyday items or let’s say you want an Amy’s Organic frozen pizza, I’d suggest Smith’s or the co-op for cost effectiveness.

I've been going to this store for almost 2 months, and I really really like it. Their produce department, though not enormous, is well stocked, and I love the bulk section. The prices, like anywhere, are higher for some things than they should be, but if you shop smartly you'll be fine. I really love the donation chips you get for bringing your own bag. It makes me happy to know that I can choose which cause to donate to. All in all, great store!!!

A great natural foods store with a huge selection of organic and gluten-free items. Customer service was great, too. Speedy and friendly. People seem like they care about their jobs here. One of the baggers even helped me load groceries into my car, as I had a really large order. Highly recommend.

Never seen a grocery store closed on a Sunday . This business and others who choose not to be open are the reasons why Taos is in a steep decline . Who wants to visit a town that’s closed 1/3 of the time .

The best place to shop in Taos! Excellent staff and management. The butchers are especially helpful! I stopped being a practicing vegetarian 2 years ago, and they take the time to answer my questions about their products every time I’ve needed help. The folks in Health and Beauty are equally wonderful. They usually have everything I’ve looked for, and are quick to get an order in for me whenever possible. The guys in the produce department are always smiling and so welcoming. And the main man I see in the bulk department has knock out facial hair. A+ staff overall. Would shop here for life.

Cid’s is an excellent place to find specialty foods, produce, and supplements. I go here for bulk foods/hygiene products, local produce, and sometimes hard to find world cuisine ingredients. They have a good selection of cheeses and fresh cut meats/seafood. My interactions with the staff have always been very positive. Yes, the prices are a bit higher, but understand this helps pay for the thought and care that goes into a locally owned business.

Salad bar & hot food bar are standouts. The best tasting salad bar I have (ever) had. AlsoGood prepared foods for grab and go. Store is very clean with great selections in all departments... check out their salsa meat/fish, produce and natural soap sections, all are top quality and are reasonably priced. Worth a stop anytime to eat, shop and browse. Very well managed, and employees are a pleasure.

If whole foods type stores are your vibe, then this store is perfect for you. If you are needing lots of groceries and aren't typically used to hippie type stores, this might not be your place to go. It looked like they had quite a diverse selection nonetheless.

Seems like every time we got to Taos we stop by Cid's. Lots of local food, great meat and veggies. Bulk items. Reminds me of Wild Oats back in the day.

My favorite grocery store in Taos. Healthy selections abound in the extensive produce & bulk sections. Delicious prepared meals are also available, as well as a hot food buffet. There's also a wide choice of interesting beverages you just don't see everywhere.I've found the staff consistently friendly & helpful over the years. Yes, the prices are high, so I'm more selective here than at other local food stores. Aside from the prices, my only gripe would be too much farmed fish - not enough wild caught & not enough free range meat.

The store is very clean and pleasant. The only complaint is with a certain checkout clerk who has told me on 2 - 3 times that I have no money on my SNAP card when I most certainly do! I'm going to report my experience with him personally, but be advised if you encounter this checker, he is a bully.

Taos' splurge market - where to go when only the finest, organic quality will do. If you can afford to shop here on a regular basis, I applaud your financial liquidity.

Cid’s is a small town version of Whole Foods — great selection of organic, non-GMO products. The produce section unfortunately is pretty light. Lots of vegan ready-made foods. But very pricey.

I see in the reviews that they're justifying their high prices by saying they're a "small mom and pop shop." I've been to much smaller Mom & Pop grocery stores in New York and San Francisco with cheaper prices than Cids. Food here is good, organic, and *sometimes* environmentally conscious, but even so its ridiculously overpriced. Every single item I could find was overpriced, even for a "Mom and Pop shop."
