I thought this place was cute and cozy. But it looks like they're still under construction. This is a great place to stop off and get snacks and drinks. But at this time it only looks like they only have two diesel pumps. Overall it's pretty good I'd come back.

Everything ends poorly, otherwise it wouldn’t end.While the corporate crew is busy stripping this place of its history and remodeling the store into what I imagine will be the same cookie cutter TA that no one stops at unless there is nowhere else available, the good news is that for the time being they have decided to leave the diner as is.I’m sure this will change in the future, but for now, this is still someplace you should stop before it’s gone forever.I’m just happy I was able to visit the other location on 40 before any changes have been made.The food here is delicious and affordable inside the diner. Food is homemade and fresh. Chips and salsa are on point.Chile relleno is one of the best I’ve had. Maybe the best.

Nice place plenty of truck parking and RV. The car museum is the draw for me. They do change up over time.

This is a very special place for road travelers, it’s in the middle of nowhere but this place Russell’s Truck Stop puts Springer NM on the Map. All their staff are very professional & friendly people They make you feel WELCOME! Oh their Restaurant Food is great I recommend this Place for everyone traveling through here to Stop & enjoy their great hospitality They have a gift shop & some beautiful cars from long ago as if you go back in time at that particular moment in history that they came out of the Factory. Taking you back in a glimpse, to your beloved & forgotten magic of your Childhood!

Wonderful place to eat, relax, & meander. Awesome Classic Cars, Classic Toys, Antique's & so on!! They accept donations to keep these little Museums in order, so please donate whenever possible:) The food is home made & delicious! Very inexpensive prices on nick-knacks, convenience items, etc. The little Mini Museum is free too. Stretch your legs, grab a bite, & take photos! Plenty of Truck & RV Parking as well. :)

Stopped here a few times, I travel a lot for work. This time we had breakfast and the temp changes caused my tires to go flat, the service center checked and aired up all the tires quickly easily. The gift shops classic cars are beautiful.

When it was owned by Russell, this was the best place to stop in the area, but ever since TravelCenters of America took over, it’s become a total pit. Bathrooms are always dirty and/or out of supplies. The shelves are basically empty. Tons of things aren’t marked with a price. Staff are disinterested. There’s absolutely no good reason to stop here anymore. Carry on to Las Vegas or Raton.

It's a TA now. Very open, and in a remote area. Plenty of parking. Easy access. I just wish the blowdryers in the showers worked so I don't get brain freeze walking out to the truck with long wet hair. Talked to the DM and she was very helpful in concern for the hard dryers. Thank you.

Nice place. It's a truck stop, and gas station with a subway inside and an old timey 50s themed soda fountain/diner also.There are some cool classic cars in the corner, restored etc. My co worker and I stopped in Tuesday at 1130a, and dined in at the diner. We both ordered the New Mexico smothered grilled chicken breast with your choice of 2 sides. I had a salad and Mac n cheese, he had soup and coleslaw.The decor is awesome, the speed of service was acceptable. The price was reasonable. The food quality was ok at best. All the food is food service products that they heat and serve, from the pre cooked boneless skinless grilled chicken breast, to the bland cafeteria Mac n cheese, to the coleslaw you can buy in any grocery store. The chicken breast was fairly tough. But the green chili sauce on it tasted good and was fairly spicy.Neat place to stop, look around, take some pictures and buy some gas.... I'll be back but probably have a subway wrap next time.

After some white-knuckle Spring snowstorm driving over Raton Pass, I had worked up an appetite and this place "hit the spot." The Mega fully loaded smothered in red and green chili breakfast burrito was something else. Won't miss out on this my next trip into New Mexico, or the trips after that. It's a must stop!

One of the most stop locations by far! This truck stop is definitely amazing and unique all on its own. The food, souvenirs, groceries, drinks and snacks are just one thing. But the extraordinary collection the Free museum inside was something else. Definitely stop in to explore and experience it for yourself. Had a wonderful time myself.

This place is an oasis in a barren land. We were pleasantly surprised to see all that is going on in Russell’s. Inside there’s a free car museum in-side along with some other antiques like, cash registers. There is a prayer chapel inside too a new 1st. And there’s plenty Souvenirs for your family. By far this was the most unique hidden treasure of a truck. Big Thank you to the whole Russell’s team. Awesome job, Keep Going!

What a fantastic little gem to stop at along your way! There is a free car museum inside that is worth taking a walk thru memory lane! Old time items and so much more! Gas up, grab snacks and stretch those legs for a few at this great travel center!

We travel I-40 every 4-6 weeks and Russell’s is almost the exact half way point so we always made it a point to stop, re-fuel, grab something to eat and check out the museum but not anymore😫with the new ownership it’s no become a typical nasty truck stop and all within just a few months, what a shame!Bathrooms are filthy, nothing on the shelves, high number of the fuel pumps are out of order, parking lot is beyond nasty, etc…same yourself from needing to wear a hazmat suit and go to the next Loves.

The restaurant girl was nice and friendly. But she got my order wrong; she gave me the wrong salad dressing and didn't give me my order of fries.I hope this is resolved next time I come to this place.

Super cool 50's themed place with old school cars on display inside, and a really cute gift shop. Great for an overnight after a long drive in the middle of nowhere. Amazing mountain views, gas station, convenient store, ice cream cones, a restaurant, plus a Subway. Laundry facilities, showers for $7, TV room, and a treadmill for use.

This was the coolest, best gas station for miles. The bathrooms were nice and the decorations were super awesome. There were 3 old cars and it is also really big. And it had a subway in it. Defiantly deserves 5 stars.

Very cool gas station with old school 50's car scene set up 👍🏼laundry and lots of options but the Subway sandwich part needs new management or something, they're always out of stuff like bread 😲😳😆 how can a Subway be out of bread lol smh 🤦🏻 and their stuff is always old looking (lettuce) 👎🏽I drive through there all the time love the joint just wish their Subway would get it together. Please get your stuff together Subway at Russell's truck & travel 🙏 Their Russell's restaurant also has some work to do, but their chicken tenders are huge and pretty good 👍🏼but they need a redo on their cook whom burnt my already frozen thin burger burger to a charcoal...No bueno... 👎🏽

Jazy is a high and mighty! I had my $1000 phone on the counter, just set for a scan using up my TA points. Jazy as the clerk addressed her, scrapped my phone across the counter and was not careful with it. When I told her, be careful with that phone it's a thousand dollar phone and please don't be scraping itacross the counter. She got defensive with me and said "if you didn't want me to have your phone you shouldn't of handed it to me". When I told her I didn't hand it to you, I put it on the counter to be scanned. She then told me, "people hand me their phones all day." What this had to do with anything I don't know. I then said, I tell people taking someone's phone is the equivalent of asking someone for their purse and then looking in their wallet. Jazy, just had more excuses and things that I could have done differently. At the end Jazy finally included there had been things we both could have done differently, with a sarcastic have a nice day. In return I said, I doubted she really felt that way and I'ld not stop back.Truely again, me the customer asked for something normally and treated poorly. I was just asking for my phone to be handled properly.

The Russells truck and travel center on both interstate 25 and interstate 40 in New Mexico is worth the stop. When you eat out as much as we do you always find the best places to eat. The Russells café is on top of the list. Restaurant is always clean, employees are always friendly. Highly recommend the drive and the stop to enjoy good food.

After waiting 20 minutes for a fed ex driver that parked at 1 of the 2 pumps and didnt buy any fuel i finally get to pull up to fuel, then they cancel my transaction. I just left, wasted enough of my time, lost a sale of 200 gallons and any future business from me

I am guessing all of the posted reviews about how awesome this place "was" were from sometime back. There are no classic cars. No throwback diner. Just a regular old truck stop and not a particularly good one at that. I am guessing TA bought out Russell. Nothing to see here... Just move along.

I have written a few reviews about Russell's. Today 9/4/19 I had the 10 oz Chicken Fried steak. Side of green chili. Wow was it good. Also try the green Chili hamburger steak. One of my favorites. Great place and Russell's has a Subway as well

Pretty neat place in the middle of NOWHERE!! Restaurant and Subway for food options. Driver Lounge, Showers and Laundry. Tons of Souvenirs and Memorabilia. Gas and Fuel Islands always look clean! Keep up the good job!

THE CHEAPEST Truck-Stop (TA) ever i see in the world... i got gas then got JUST hot water IN MY CUP and they charge me money even for it 🤦🏼 what any truck stop never charge... it was first time and last time. PUMP from 80s and they even doesn't have windshield cleaner in gas pump area for trucks. VERY CHEAP TA SPOTPS. don't waist your time do not visit

When i worked there it was a really cool place to work all the classic cars the Elvis and Marilyn statues were awsome but now its not the same the shelves are basically empty nothing has a price the gift shop is no longer there i have huge respect for Russell he was a great employer but ever since TA (travel centers of America) bought it i’d give a couple more years then it will lose business another thing there used to be a Harley and Elvis pinball machine and even a treadmill but now there gone

Open face burger was burnt to a crisp. Restaurant was a little disappointing. I'll try again next time. The Russell's in Endee NM has an awesome meatloaf. That's why I decided to stop here.
