No longer a UPS drop off location.Every item in the store is locked, so you have to have an associate babysit you as you shop.The layout of the store is quite poor, but they have a decent stock and a few things you can't find at other stores in town.I have no complaints about the staff.I don't really want to shop here because it feels demeaning to not be trusted to take an item off a shelf and bring it to the counter.There are better ways to reduce theft.

They had everything I needed but I couldn't buy a thing. I came with a long list, but it turns out that literally every single item in this store is locked up. Individual hose clamps, $1 items hanging from paper, even things hanging from string that could be kicked over the locks! So unless you pick up an associate at the front desk, and lead them around like a puppy dog, you're not getting a single thing off of any rack. I didn't have the whole Saturday to devote to walking around with this kid so I gave up immediately. I really can't overstate the ridiculousness of every single thing being locked up. They have spent two lifetimes worth of larceny losses on loss prevention. Oh, and I literally hollered for a kid in the same aisle as me to please come unlock this doorknob, but he managed to get to the front of the door before the maybe-manager (no vest) told him I looked like I was in need of a puppy. Giant disappointment - I should be wiring up my generator and installing new hardware throughout my cabin right now!

Anytime I don't know where something is, one of the friendly faces wearing red will help me to exactly where I need to go.They can also match any paint samples you bring to them. Good for students who want to avoid wall damage claims.Don't understand why everyone on other reviews say the manager is rude. I understand why people can see that(maybe from his demeanor, or way he talks/looks at you), but at the same time he's there all day long and still helping everyone out, never heard him be rude to anyone. Always been nice to me, even when I had trouble with a UPS box because they can't take QR codes I think (they aren't fully set up as a UPS droppoint yet).Either way, great place, just parking kinda sucks.

Great store. Helpful staff. Sometime they follow you like you are a delinquent, but most of the time they are just trying to be helpful. The hours of operation are problematic. Don't expect to just show up and get what you need. You must pay attention before you go, anr better before you think you might need to go when you start your project. You might not be able to get what you need because they are closed. Then you are on your way to Los Lunas.

I love coming here. I'm not a very handy woman and don't know my way around a hardware store at all; normally I hate going to hardware stores for that very reason. But the employees at this Ace are incredibly helpful, knowledgeable, and very quick. I come in with my list (which sometimes is not very precise) and they walk me around the store gathering the items I need, asking clarifying questions, and being very gracious with my lack of knowledge. And in my experience, they are FAST -- I was in and out in probably 3 minutes on my last visit. Yes, some of the items are a little more pricey than Home Depot or another large chain; but I'd much rather pay a few more bucks at a friendly local store than drive 45 minutes to the nearest Home Depot. Thanks for being an excellent local resource!

This store is a UPS access point. I dropped off my packaged item already labeled and they charged me a "courtesy fee" of $2.00. While that isn't a lot of money, I know UPS pays them for accepting packages and I have never had to pay at other access points. Felt ripped off.

This place is awsomely very organized and staff staff are the friendliest. I am not ashamed to say that because the are indipendently owned, I have found the bestest of bargains and the owner is proud to be independent for he loves helping public with ridiculous savings. It kinda makes me feel like I am at home at times. Usually not crowded so if you need a place to look at nic knacks, all staff members are empathetic to your individual needs. This Wharehouse is my favorite of the three I am aware of at a female's pont of view. So I cannot share information about mych else but a light bulb and cleanig supplies. That is on my scale a 100. Also veteran discounts are awarded. For this one little effort of anytype of recognition of I would imagine if I personally a bonafide veteran I respectfully would seize you his opportunity to show my pride, appraisal, and dignity to remind myself of why I chose to be an America hero. I've seen this with my own two eyes. I cannot mindread feelings but i have faith that this very small kind of showing a vet a citizen can show his/her appreciate and appraisal of any mixed feelings for simply the recognition of many mental anguishes and feelings various sufferings and pains can be communicated to any veteran in need of a warming of the heart.

Everyone was so helpful! We came in with several lists for a variety of jobs and had a lot of fun chatting with the staff while they helped us find everything. I even got to use the magnet lock for a while. Full on dork fun!

Always has what I go in to purchase in stock. Very clean store. Lots of good specials if your timing is right. Easy parking. Wide variety of items to cover any home need you might have. Employees and owner are always very friendly and helpful. Quick checkout with usually no waiting. Assistance available to take larger items to your vehicle. I have no hesitation recommending this store to others.

The store looks like it hasn’t been updated since 1990. Besides that, Randy’s (the owner) attitude is gross and often unacceptable. He’s very condescending and makes it seem like a chore when potential customers walk in. They also charge for using any type of card payment. You’d think they’d use the extra income to improve the store. Maybe install a spa or something for the owner so he can unwind after being the worst person he can possibly be on a daily basis. Anyways, I don’t expect much from small businesses in Socorro but this one in particular is pretty bad. Go to Raks instead.

I have had several issues over the past few years Owner(s) are unfriendly and RUDE, especially the young lady. I asked for help with a drill bit. The young lady rolled her eyes, and after telling me what aisle to go to, I explained the item I wanted was in a locked cabinet. She slowly got up, making it very obvious I was interrupting. Today the 50% off sign was only if you used cash, and off the originally price. really ? for half dead plants? How cheap. I will NEVER go there again. Next time Ill go to WalMart. The only helpful friendly people are the 2 men assistants.

I walked into this place with an expectation of " Ace is the place with the helpful hardware man," but disappointed immediately by the " Manager's attitude. " If Rudy isn't helping you, the options are just sad....I quit going here once before due to the rudeness and poor attitude of the local business owners " holier than thou attitude," I believe I'll stop shopping here again.

They have a thermometer reading you must do before you come in even with a mask!!!! They take this seriously and it's the FIRST place I've seen do this!!! They care about their employees and customers!!!And on top of that....Excellent customer service and assistance!!!

The absolute worst place I've ever been. The man will only sell 2 bags of pellets per family. Came all the way from belen with family and bc we're in one car he would only sell us 2 bags. It's cold out and bc he had promised pellets to someone coming from ruidoso he was "sold out" hes claiming his business isnt making money from selling pellets and hes doing it as a courtesy and will only accept CASH. Funny how you own a business for profit and are doing people "favors" I think hes overcharging and pocketing the profit under the table. I'll be calling the BBB AS WELL. I will never return here. And will be sure to let anyone who asks know this owner is a fraud.
