The food in there refrigerated section cremate is more expensive than cities like Tucson and even Santa Fe. They also don't have much of a gluten-free selection. For a co-op it's disappointing

The staff were very friendly and helpful. They had a lot of really nice fresh foods, coffee, nice cheeses and meats. All kinds of things. Really enjoyed shopping there.

Unfortunately having to downgrade my review after years as a loyal customer. I no longer even live in the area and still make it a point to shop here a few times per year. Last week, I encountered extreme bullying and unprofessionalism by the new staff because I was shopping 30 minutes before they closed!I have always loved this store, it's history, mission and friendly staff.Beware, like many service industry roles people no longer seem to think they have to treat their paying customers with any kind of decency or respect.This is the worst experience I have ever had shopping and it broke my heart.

It's a very nice clean store with a decent selection of products. The prices are high but that goes along with it being fresh and locally sourced and being a co-op. I was visiting from out of town so I'm not a member.

Traveling through and we love to support the local communities. They have a great bulk selection. They are still mask required. Plenty of fresh fruits and veggies to choose from. We even got some sodas from ZIA, kola and ginger brew, that we are excited to try! We also got some milk in a glass jar with the cream on top! First time and we are so excited. We had a pleasant experience especially with other local shoppers who gave us their insiders opinion on great items! <3 love shopping local and supporting the community!

The co op has some stuff that you wouldn’t be able to find elsewhere, albeit at a steep mark up. Good little selection of fresh produce & frozen meats. People that work here are doing their best despite retired boomers who have no spacial awareness and make it impossible to move freely throughout the aisles. Definitely the place to be if you’re an artsy fartsy boomer looking to gossip & catch up with likeminded individuals.

My normal diet is whole food plant base and organic. I have been a member of the Silver City Food Coop since first coming to the area in 2017. They are my preferred grocery by far, offering about 90% of my food needs. The cost is reasonable, and they offer locally grown, trustworthy produce along with organic product from other locations. Their bulk bins of grains, seeds, nuts, tea, coffee, and spices are fantastic. The staff is always ready to help and answer questions. It is my go-to grocery store!

The place is wonderful. Its located in the Old Downtown of Silver City. My daughter took me there along with my grandchildren. Inside I discovered that they sell fresh organic fruit, vegetables, lettuce, frozen organic items like, meat, pizza, and many more. They also sell organic shampoos, conditioners, medicines for your aches and pain, cleansers for your face, face creams, all kinds of cheese. The list goes on. . I enjoyed this local store,

Love the co-op. Don't love the prices. Of course, some foods and products might not be readily available in other markets, but much of it is. I don't think it's cool to jack up those prices so much. Just me!Besides that. It's a pretty cool place. I get my teas from the co-op.

Organic produce, often locally grown, great organic bulk dry food section.It is a small place but has everything I like to buy and not a lot of what I don't care for (supplements section). The only thing I dislike about it is the 70 mile distance to my home. Please open a satellite in Deming. I'll run it for you.

THE BEST. We’ve been traveling from So Cal to Nova Scotia thru the East, the South and now the West. Best grocery store we found. Everything you want and no useless aisles of industrial food. Loved this place. What a find.

The best place for organic food and fair trade items. They pack a lot into a small space. Guaranteed to see someone you know. Many vegetarian and vegan foods and ingredients. I love everything the co-op sells and for the most part i have had pretty good experiences. Although today i received terrible customer service. I asked one of the cashier women who was putting tester essential oils on herself about the pricing of the oils related to bottle size. She essentially couldnt answer me and stayed quiet with her back towards me while putting oils on. I thanked her anyways. She ended up checking me out and had no customer service skills at all, not even a "thank you for shopping with us" or "have a good day". She did howeever ask if i was a member but that was it. I am huge on customer service and i am sure i am not the only one. Hey Co-op youve got a bad apple in there.

Teaching my mum-in-law how to cook and eat healthy! So glad she has a place to shop which has a good selection of organic products.Update -- It's been years since I've been back to Silver to see my second Mom. No longer my Mom-in-law since my husband, her son, is now with Jesus. She made me the best enchiladas and albondigas soup so I wanted to cook her something special, pancit, a Filipino fried noodle dish I learned to make from my own Mom. I was so happy that the Co-op had the exact noodles (bean thread) I needed. Thank you! 😊❤
