Soap, mustache wax, candles, and many other great items at this sweet little shop. I have been having a wonderful time using the house made soaps and a recently developed mustache wax, and I love it. They have a ton of great scents and even some unscented items for those who are a bit sensitive on the nose. The mustache was I have to say is incredible, it's not too tacky that it looks like your mustache is dipped in a candle but just perfect for an all day hold, even in fluctuating temperature and weather. Great people great prices and outstanding products. P.S. they also have a wide selection of dehydrated candy for the kiddos or yourself.

One of the many "must stop" shops in Silver. Their handmade, quality soaps are great, along with very nice grooming products and accessories. An even more unique offering are their freeze-dried candies and peanut brittle (our fave). The airy textures make all the flavors even more fun. The local owners are also very nice and friendly and love that they usually dress in vintage western clothing. Really shows their passion for providing their products as a full experience.

I am already a huge fan of their hand/body bar soaps. Now I have dived into their shave products which are equally good. My favorite scent is Earps, a really complex and fragrant butterscotch. I use the pre-shave oil and use the beard oil for the same purpose which has an even more intense scent strength. The shave soap whipped into a creamy, dense lather that was very protective through the shave. Wonderful products as usual. Also purchased a handmade New Mexico ceramic shave bowl. Love Kneeling Nun Mercantile products. You can tell they are passionate about the quality of their products

Just recently found this shop to purchase online, and what an awesome discovery. Their soaps are very well made, very nice scents. Really big size for the money and they also sent a nice size sample bar to try. Extremely fast shipping and a really need display/presentation when you open the box. Kind of an Old West mining days theme. I can really appreciate the artisans care for their store and craft. Can't wait to try some more of their products

Their soap feels creamy and moisturizes my skin. I use the lavender fragrance because I love the smell. It’s not overpowering, but soothing and calming. They use pretty flower molds to make it, and it fits perfectly in my hand.Jocelin and Dewayne are friendly and welcoming. I gave these soaps as gifts at a small family reunion and Jocelin gift wrapped them in pretty little mesh bags as a nice touch.I will shop here often, it’s a fun store with clever decorations and beautiful products.

I stopped by yesterday to pick up some bar shampoo & conditioner as well as a bar of pumice. First time in the new location (which is just down the block from the old location) and the atmosphere & service is still fantastic.If you need something for around the house or as a gift this store is for you.

Loved visiting with the owner in her warm, inviting shop. Had a discussion about coffee and received a couple recommendations. I am currently in love with the 'Roma' by Abbey Roast. The coffee is great, but the visit was most enjoyable. Go by and see her. You won't regret it!

The soaps and other homemade products are absolutely fantastic! They smell amazing and make for the perfect gifts. My dad is a bar soap connoisseur, and he is very particular about the types of bar soaps he buys. The soaps crafted by Kneeling Nun Mercantile are his go-to bar soaps. They have been his favorite for the past two years. They make for the perfect gifts and come in a variety of pleasant and unique smells. They are beautiful to look at and absolutly worth the buy. If you are unable to visit their shop to smell their soaps for yourself, I promise that you can’t go wrong with any of them.

The best natural homemade soap. I even got my man to use it. He the type that won't change. He now hooked on this soap. The owner extremely nice and pleasant to hàve a conversation with. She charges a fair price for the quality ingredients she puts in the soap. Soap needs to cure before using which she allows her soap to sit before selling. This makes her a responsible merchant.

I just went to this business for the first time yesterday, and I'm "sold" already. The soap is wonderful....my skin doesn't feel dry. And, I LOVE the body lotion bar. The OHANA scent is wonderful.I HIGHLY recommend this business. The owner is very friendly and knowledgeable as well. I'm going today to get more for gifts.

The kneeling nun Mercantile has a wonderful selection of soaps, candles, shaving supplies, and gifts. Their customer service is unparalleled. And the proprietors have a wide knowledge on natural ways to treat common skin problems. Their tea tree soap helps my son with his eczema.

Kneeling Nun soaps are by far my favorite soap you can buy in Silver City. I personally use the pine tar and the Earp soap. The Earp especially as a unique smell to it. Makes you smell like that good ol stetson cologne. Perfect for any cowboy.Also I used there nonstented Alo soap on my dog and my puppy's. It worked amazingly well especially on my puppy's witch are only 7 weeks old. It didn't harm their skin or fur. Didn't remove there oils from there little bodies witch you have to be very careful with named brand soap. It did its job so well. Cleaned all my dogs fur very nicely and didn't leave a weird smell to them that you sometimes get from name brand soaps.

I met the owners at a wine festival and let me start by saying there were so friendly and told me all about their soaps and the process, it was amazing! Now, it has been a month and a half since I purchased the soaps but I didn't want to do a review until I had time to use them. I was going to wait until I finished a bar of soap but after all this time I'm still on the same bar! I bought several different scents but the cabernet was so delicious smelling I started with it (yes I highly recommend it). I also bought a conditioning bar, I am going through it a bit faster but still haven't finished a bar yet. The conditioning bar smells wonderful and leaves my hair feeling great! I'll be ordering a lot more for myself and gifts.

I received my products today and I am absolutely blown away by how amazing my soap smells. I also purchased the handmade leather satchel and a barrette. Literal pieces of art! You can tell right away how much love and care Josie and Dewayne put into their products. This will be the only company I purchase my soaps from now on!

The quality and size of each soap bar is absolutely amazing, I almost get frustrated because I buy so many, and want to use them all but remember I have to finish the first! The scents last, and are absolutely breathtaking.I will shout out one soap in particular if you are a headache/migraine sufferer, purchase their menthol soap. It has helped me with my migraines and headaches so much I couldn’t recommend it enough!

I recently was seeking a soapworks company located within the Southwest region of New Mexico and came upon the Kneeling Nun Soapworks, located in Mimbres. Glad I did! I ended up ordering some very beautiful bars of hand-made soaps that are just the right size, smell divine, lather up nice and bubbly, and help my skin stay soft. They will also make lovely presents for Christmas or birthdays. I'm looking forward to being a long-term customer of Kneeling Nun Soapworks.

I make soap too and these soaps are incredible! I got a shampoo and conditioner bar and my hair looks great, I didn't even go through the transition from regular to bar. I have long, fine, and finicky hair.

Love their soap. Feels rich and creamy. Products contain NO lard this works for me as I am vegan. I feel so clean after using it.
