Why are your prices higher than every other grocery store withing an hour drive? Way to take advantage. Gouge those food stamp cards, will ya? Not to mention that your machines consistently ring up the wrong prices, always in the interest of the store. CROOKS! I avoid this unethical and dishonest grocery store unless it's some kind of emergency.

Bashas can have good deals but some deals are costly. I rarely go there. Only if I really need something I will make the trip. The Deli has good chicken.

I usually shop here for my grandmother who lives in the deep reservation, but every time I shop here. I see one or multiple employees talk harshly and disrespect the elders who have no caretakers with them. My mother just saw an employee yell and stop a man in a wheelchair with her foot. DISGUSTING. The employees do not have the patience for the elders and it's sad.Truly heartbreaking.

Under renovations since being purchased. Prices are higher than any other grocery within 50 miles. Absolutely ridiculous since other Bashas are cheaper. Store is moderately clean all things considered. Rarely has enough check outs open and always a wait for self scanning. Selection leaves much to be desired. Produce is always small and sometimes not very fresh.

Closest grocery store so it's great to stop and buy the necessities here before I head home. Good people work there. Thank you!

The employees are great! But they are few. The self check out is a headache the machine are trash they constantly malfunction. They only save time for the company not its patrons. Also the water refill station cheats you out of half a gallon of water and charges 50 cents more for less. Update the water refill is broken but on the plus there are hiring more staff only time will tell.

I drive truck and decided to stop to get some grocery items. It's a typical Arizona grocery store. One of the bakery items made me a little sick but it's a decent place otherwise.

Boy, their prices are OUT of this world. Shoppers are unaware they are lining pockets of a family who cater to natives. I go to City Market in Cortez, Colorado.

I thought they were pretty nice, Shelves were stocked from what I could see and tell. I also noticed they let from what appeared to be a homeless person use the bathroom. Person was very very unkempt, tattered clothing but they were nice about it. I spoke with a manager regarding item needed and he referred me to Valley Feed/Hogback in which I found my Juniper Ash as they don't sell here. I'd say great service!

The former grocery store chain left the shopping center because they were not making any money (declining for the past 10 years). Due to the abrupt decision, this only gave the Navajo Shopping Center a few months to try and get 1 of the 63,328 grocery store chains in America to lease the space. Not one grocery store was willing or eager to set up for the people. It was out of pure pity that 1, ONE grocery store chain made the effort to provide the people with a convenient place to buy groceries & other supplies. The surrounding communities would have been out of a grocery store if it were not of the business professionals who swiftly made this $1,000,000 transaction. Bashas cleaned up the grocery store floors, renovated the restrooms, storage areas & replaced a lot of 20 year old equipment. This was no easy task nor was it cheap ($). The former grocery store was not willing to put in the money to upgrade or renovate the space. The U.S. is experiencing inflation. Expect prices to continually rise for all goods (food, gas & essential suppiles). I applaud the efforts of the Navajo Shopping Center administrators, Bashas Corporate office, current Bashas management & employees and the Navajo Nation government for quickly working on this project. So many other communities & people rely on this grocery store to meet their essential needs. If you have the means to travel elsewhere for your shopping needs, be grateful you can. Many, many families cannot drive 60 to 80 miles round trip to shop for groceries & basic supplies (1st world problems). Continue to upgrade and improve this grocery store location! StarBucks is a perk & many employees are now able to work a full shift! Haha! Just remember...the former grocery store "broke-up" with the community and longer is on their mind (no money, no relationship). Bad break-up. Leave the past in the past. Move on & forward. Oh shi broken 💔

This Basha's is too expensive compared to the ones in Chinle and Kayenta-the food quality and availability are better at those stores too. When it was City Market, the food quality and the prices were a lot better than they are now. It is very sad because so many people are on fixed incomes and some of them have no choice but to shop there. I recommend taking your loved ones to shop elsewhere.

I wish there was a zero, but a one star will do. Just bought onions, cut into them, they were bad. I brought it back for an excange or refund the customer service lady was rude, saying "What? She couldn't help you in the front." But Hey lady it's your freaking job. If you don't like it then change it. Also turns out ALL the onions were bad in the produce section. Yuck! I miss the old City Market, I'd never had a problem then. 😕

GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. I used to buy choice or prime grade meat from City Market, the meat at bashas is so low a quality it doesn't carry a grade. I purchased Ribeyes that had no marbling at all, it was the only tough Ribeye I ever ate. Also picked up some chicken leg quarters, when I opened that package it smelled rotten, like decay..they sell expired meat. I was going to get some ground beef but I have NEVER seen WHITE ground beef until Bashas brought it to shiprock, 1Lb of 90% ground beef is almost $10 here, in farmington it's slightly over $7 for a Lb of 90% ground beef..skip this highly marked up store. Then the self check-out was a nightmare, inventory must not be done here since there are items that are not recognized by the scanner...they don't have any checkers working anymore, I guess they all left with City Market. I currently drive to farmington for groceries, and I do not recommend Bashas at all. And there is nobody at customer service, because, I was told, "there is no more customer service", all services provided there left with City Market.Bashas prices are continuously going up but the quality is ever diving. Buy in cortez or farmington, get your money's worth.T&R should've taken over.

I understand it’s not the employees fault but ever since Bashas came all the name brand stuff are no longer carried. It seems everything is overpriced for being their store brand. The fresh veggies fruit and meat are not fresh. I’ve been to Bashas’ at the big cities and they are way different. I hate to say but it seems like their only intentions are to rip off the natives. I wish the politics in Shiprock and Window Rock would make it easier to get a Walmart here. Even Chinle has a Church’s Chicken and Dennys! 😡

Food is expensive, they don't have what we need city market would have. Brands are very different than what we are used to. We really miss city market. Shiprock needs another and better grocery store than this place. So disappointed!

Horrible Experience! Called customer service from the parking lot to ask if they offered card services and the lady said yes. I walk in seconds later and there is a group of 4 employees several feet from the customer service area just laughing and talking for SEVERAL minutes while me and the lady in front of me stood in the customer service line waiting. Finally, the Heavyset customer service lady comes waddling back to her station after wasting our time on purpose. I feel sorry for her, because she doesnt seem happy with her life. And no one greets you in the store or tells you goodbye! Horrible employee attitudes!! AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALLCOSTS!!! And all of this happened around 10am on Thursday Dec. 23rd, 2021

Prices are a little too high. Certain items are always out. Self check out is complicated with skip bagging and they should have a W.I.C system with self check-outs. Also they should upgrade to (wireless) price scanner gun.
