I have been taking my dog to petco for training for a while now. She is his favorite person and a great trainer. All the employees are kind and attentive to both people and animals. We haven't tried the grooming since my dog has short hair, but the dogs seem to be happy. The prices are higher than a Walmart or target but similar to a petsmart. Great variety of food and toys for cats and dogs. Birds, fish, reptiles, and small mammals always seem happy and healthy. The only problems that I have had are the wet dog food is expensive and sometimes finding collers or clothes for a medium size dog can be difficult. This is because he is an xl in jackets but a medium/small in t-shirt.

This is where we get worms for our yard lizards (Fred we call’em, even though they’re all female). It’s where we got Kitty food for Hippy, too (before she kicked the bucket some years ago). Gotta feed the critters. This is where. Good folks.

Everytime I have to go here I regret it, they never answer the phones, are rude when you ask for help, the store itself just feels dirty and old. I have stayed on the phone for hours waiting. We need better everything there needs to be a change where the workers actually work I mean come on. Thank god I don’t have to come here often but when I do hate my life. If I could give 0 stars I would! Do better !! 👎👎👎

The store did not have all of the items (variety packs of wet dog food) and had to pack six cans as loose items. Two of the six cans were dented. Still, I appreciated the effort to meet my total order quantity.

Website says open til 8, but store door says only open til 7. Big corporation can't update a website? Will take my business to Petsmart. They're open til 9 and their website is accurate.

Place seemed clean and friendly enough workers.The cat adoption area appeared also in nice order for the handful of cats waiting to find their forever homes.

My dog got groomed... bug job and WE were late I felt so bad. She was so amazing and my baby looked absolutely adorable!! Not gonna go anywhere else! Also found a great sweater for my lil cat too!!

Need more sale floor employees, purchased a 55 gal fish tank and a bearded dragon with all the accessories. The female employee was very knowledgeable about the bearded dragon we purchased and had great customer skills. She is a asset to Petco

Took my daughter and her pooch to this store. I advised staff that someone's little buddy left a mess on the floor. I was there for 20 more minutes longer. Nobody bothered to clean it up or even put up a sign so customers wouldn't step in it. Staff were nice but really seemed less than interested in being there. The store has some cool products and interesting fish in their clean tanks. I'd go back if I was in the area, but it wouldn't be my "go-to" store.

Very friendly and helpful staff. I recently sold my home and moved into a rental and I now pay extra rent for my dogs! I needed a way to allow them freedom in and out and Petco had a "doggie door" for sliding doors! Treats and equip for ALL pets available w vets sitting in for updating shots etc! Been a 'go to' store for me for years

They let your pet in the store because they think pets can shop. Only the smart dogs can shop

Cat cold/sinus drops were out of stock at Santa Fe location. Mike, the manager (lives in Albuquerque) stopped by an Albuquerque location after work, on his own time, to grab what I needed, and brought it back for me in Santa Fe the next morning. That's just amazing above and beyond service. Thank you Mike!

Xena is part mastive/bully black dog She is 10 months and about 70lbs. Very intimidating towards people and other animals🤷. Took her to obedience classes and OMG MY Xena is now ready to be out in public. Everyone loved her. The trainer at Petco had Xena relaxed within 5 minutes she was amazing with my dog😍 and I really couldn't of done it without their help. This photo of her shows a tired dog who had a ton of cookies for good behavior :).
