It was a great lil store back in the day. Now their prices are the highest in town. Also their meet department is "not right". There is always something brown in the Meat department. I won't get meat there. But if that's your thing. Cool...

I really like Lowe's. Two other grocery stores in Ruidoso which are good but Lowe's prices are about the same and the people are just more helpful and friendly. They are doing something right because the store is expanding square footage.

So much more pleasant than, Walmart and I'm not giving my money to monopolistic thieves. Update December 2023. Now they're expanding the building and rearranging everything and keeping all the wonderful stuff they had before. Also, I love this place... Update April 2024 they're doing a massive rebuild and expansion on this grocery store and it looks a heck of a lot better than it was before. It's still not finished

I liked this store better when it was Thriftway. The prices are higher with Lowe's and you have to check your produce. We got a bag of salad and when we got home part of it was slimy and it cost $5.99

Good prices with lots of generic options to help save money. They were also one of the only places selling liquor at the hours I visited. Relatively easy to walk or drive too. It was also clean and pretty well stocked

Great little market. Has everything you need groceries, beer, wine, firewood, paper goods,, small deli. Friendly and helpful service. I recommend this store to anyone who likes the quiet laid-back of small towns. Love this small market in Ruidoso, NM.

I love the Lowes Food Market in Alamogordo and so thankful for the addition in Ruidoso. Small town feel. But I wish they had a tortilla making machine here! Those fresh hot tortillas are wonderful with melted garlic butter. I shop there for convenience and checkout is usually quick. They as well have the do it yourself checkout lanes. Love that! Small town vibes, hometown service.

I love this local market in Ruidoso. They have a deli serving burritos, sandwiches and more. Lots of fresh veggies, meat market etc. I shop here when in the area.

I needed Lady Fingers to make Tiramisu. Three people were standing together at one of the cash registers, laughing and talking. I had to interrupt them to ask where I might find the Lady Fingers. One of them said it would be on the cookie aisle if there were even any. Nothing. I then decided to try pound cake and again, I had to interrupt them to find out where it was. One of them told me to look in the bread aisle. I couldn't find it, so I called out to them and said so. Finally, one of them came to help me. She found some in the frozen section.

Lowe's Market just took over our local Thriftway in Ruidoso, NM. And they are not even trying! I just walked out after waiting 10 minutes for a clerk on the self checkout line. There was only one checker (Who was already very busy) and no-one else to help. Lowe's does not give a bag credit and will not supply carry baskets. It is not the employees as much as the new owner does not seem to care!Just go to Albertsons, at least they can check you out in a timely manner.I would have rather given No Stars. They have not earned one!

Lowes is not welcome in our community. The food is low grade and poor quality and the prices are ungodly. This buyout was forced upon us but I refuse to spend a penny in that store unless it changes hands.

The smallest of the three grocery stores here, and the go to place for beef i can actually afford. Thriftway has always had the best in fresh beef, and prices that are consistently better then the other two. Like all grocery stores, some items are priced higher or lower then others, but their specials are always worth stopping for. Staff has always been excellent (dont know how they manage to do that, I've been going here over 15 years, haven't been in an altercation once with an employee there), and to this day helpful and friendly. Definitely one of the staples of this community.

Best home town grocery store! Quality products, I thought it was great when they were able to put limitations on certain products before they actually told the stores to do so. Thank you for maintaining your store and doing the best you can to keep things on your shelves, thank you to all your employees who are serving our community especially now during this crisis, you all are very much appreciated.

It was my first time going to this grocery store. It pretty much had everything you need to make a good meal, except a frozen section of vegetarian food. Yes they had a good selection of produce, but the squash & zucchini was old.

Service was good but the manager is obnoxious and very loud and likes to cause a scene for no apparent reason. If the store expects to hold up, she needs to treat her customers better and not make obsurd demands towards her customers who just want to support the local community. Someone needs to tell her to brush up on the constitution and not harass customers for not wearing a mask. The same goes for one of the obnoxious employees. Should not have to refuse service for not wearing a mask. It’s a bad business strategy and it’s guaranteed to run any well respected business into the ground.

During the mask days i saw the manager get onto a guy that didnt understand english for not wearing his mask, his kids didnt either, she could of handed the mask first instead of making a sceen, left and so did severale others. Have compassion for others.

Another hidden gem in Ruidoso! Clean little Market, nice meat service deli, and really tasty fried chicken tenders. Try them!YES, THIS MARKET HAS CHANGED!I'm sorry! That review was written when this was a Thriftway market, before Lowes bought it and greatly increased the prices. I find that Lowes is pretentious and greedy. They have made this the most expensive grocery store in town. Unhelpful employees, outrageous prices and understocked shelves are now the rule here. What a shame! They've ruined it!

First time to visit this grocery. We got several pounds of their ribs and they taste great. The guy who helped us said he slow cooked them. I also got 6 cornish hen, don't know what i'm gonna do with them 😂 and a whole strawberry tres leches cake. We got everything we needed. Enjoyed the experience 😊
