Rented a Rocky Mountain Full Suspension bike for our son based on a recommendation from a biker (Jimmy) we met hiking the Grindstone Canyon trail. We got a quality rental, in addition to great advice/minor tuning for my bike and my wife's. We also got great direction on where to and NOT to ride, based on our abilities. Not from Ruidoso, but would definitely recommend and visit if back in the area.

Blake hooked us up with bikes and helmets as well as gave us pointers for two novice mountain bikers. He made sure the bikes were a good fit, showed us how to work them, and told us exactly how to get to the trail as well as what direction to take on the trail. He was super excited on our return to hear of our experience and recommended some sites to explore around town. Whether you’re there for biking or snowboarding, he’ll make sure you’re good to go. Great guy, great shop, and great experience!

I brought my bike in to be serviced and they did a great job. They really care about their customers and the pricing was more than fair. I also saw some really cool gear in the shop that I’d be interested in renting/purchasing in the future. I’ll be back and will recommend to my friends.

Great experience at this shop. I rented an ebike for the day and had an awesome time. Blake (the owner) was very helpful and enthusiastic and you can tell he loves what he does. Enjoyed just chatting with him a bit about bikes, the trails, and Ruidoso in general. Definitely recommend.

It was an overall amazing experience, I had an amazing time riding there electric mountain bikes. The owner is very upbeat and it makes the experience better. They also have a very nice selection of cycling equipment along with skating supplies. I would highly suggest trying out the mountain bikes, they completely change your experience when riding. Highly recommend! The shop is within riding distance of a great trail system and Blake gave us great instructions with options on where to go. We opted for the motorized / e- bikes and they were awesome on the trails. Will be renting bikes here every time I’m back in town.

I wish I found this place sooner. Blake and the rest of the staff will go out of there way to ensure that you are taken care of. The overall professional and atmosphere is second to none compared to similar shops I have worked with. Whether you have experience with outdoor activities or you want to try it out for the first time, this is the shop to go to. There are lots of supplies if you are into things like snowboarding, mountain bike riding, or skateboarding. My friends and I drive over an hour just to come to this shop.

This place is top notch. Their rental bikes are well maintained and the customer Service is second to none. I’m not one to leave reviews, but these guys deserve it. I rented an electric mountain bike from them for a couple of days. They weren’t even open on the day I showed up but they were there working. Derek opened shop for me and hooked me up. He even gave me his number for when I was done. He met me back at the shop and got me taken care of. Second day, was just as pleasant. If you are looking to buy or rent bikes in Ruidoso, this is your place. They earned my business for sure. Good to see that kind of customer care this day and age.

Had to leave a review for this place. The staff was unbelievable and Blake took awesome care of myself and my friends. Would use this place for every biking and snowboarding need for a long time if I was in the area more often. You do not always find genuine people that love what they do and have the desire to help their customers beyond just making money and this shop rocks.

Shop staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. Shop has a good variance of things you may need for your bike. Bike rental prices are fair and they can get you set for a action packed day.

Big shout out to Blake and Board House and Bike Shop! We were traveling from out of town (Pittsburgh) and wanted a taste of some NM single track. Unfortunately we were only in town Sunday and Monday, the two days the shop is closed. Blake went out of his way to meet us and give us rentals for the day so we can still go riding on our vaca! He even lent us a tailgate pad for our rental truck. Cedar Creek is super close by and has some awesome trails for all skill levels. If you're looking for higher end mtb rentals or service in Ruidoso this is the place. Thanks again!

Highly recommend Board House and Bike Shop. My wife and I rented mountain bikes, and the owner, Blake, had a great selection of new Trek options. He is also knowledgeable of all the surrounding trails, so we could pick the ones that suited our skill level. Would definitely go back!!

As soon as my family and I walked into the shop we were immediately greeted with a warm and friendly welcome. I needed to rent snowboarding gear and Blake made sure to quickly accommodate me. He picked out the perfect boots, snowboard, and helmet for me and made sure I was comfortable with everything. (Btw they have high-end good quality gear for a great price!) The whole process was fast. I've been to many other shops with friendly costumer service, but Blake went out of his way to make sure I had the best experience. He educated me on everything I needed to know, and answered all of my questions with generosity and a smile! The employees here take their job serious and are extremely helpful and kind. I will definitely be coming back anytime I need to rent snowboarding gear. Thank you Blake for being so AWESOME!! I highly recommend Board House!

The best part of our trip to Ruidoso. Owner was extremely helpful and even delivered some bikes to cedar creek trails. Would recommend this shop to anyone!! Even had smaller bikes for the kids

We rented a couple e-bikes for the first time from Blake. I have rented in other mountain towns before but never got the personal attention and connection like I did with Blake here at BHBS!Blake is very knowledgeable, personable and jovial. The best customer service I have ever had and the equipment was AMAZING!!Even though it was an e-bike I got a great workout, explored ALOT and found some very exciting trails in the same area Blake suggested.We’re definitely renting here again!!(Leaves your bikes at home, just use Blake’s!)

Late in the day and wifey lost a seat dropper cable set screw on the trail, called one shop & no answer, called the Board and Bike Shop and they said to bring it on in….Blake and Shane saved the vacation! They found a set screw and replaced the cable in quick time!! Back on the trail the next day! When we’re in town….this is my bike shop!! Great job guys!

This shop is immediately comfortable the moment you walk in and meet Blake. He rented two bikes to my 9 yr old and I. Each of us got a custom fit and advice on local trails...all at a very affordable price. I have no doubt the snowboard experience is the same. This is where you should go for board and bike needs in Ruidoso.

The Board House is awesome! Thank you so much for helping us with our snowboards. Blake is always willing to help and answer all of our questions and he's super friendly to work with! The owner is also very friendly and professional and the whole staff is amazing! Board House and Bike Shop is an absolute gem. The shop is organized, clean and sells top of the line products and parts. I took my enduro bike into Blake and Dell, thinking I was needing to leave the bike with them to be repaired. They expressed their expertise and repaired the bike on the spot. Had a great experience renting a full suspension mountain bike. Shop is within riding distance to a super fun trail system with a purpose built downhill trail. Lots of fun. Would definitely recommend this shop for bike rental.
