We made a lot of stops here over the holidays and this is a good store, although the selection is a bit limited. Overall, the store is clean and organized and the staff is mostly friendly, although there was a grumpy cashier. They have alcohol and liquor options here and a wide range of canned, boxed and frozen foods. The produce section was a little small, but they have your staple items.

Terrible customer service.I have to share this since the store manager doesn't seem to care what I told him. I went to Albertons Market to do my shopping. Although I am close to Ruidoso I’m in Texas, I usually stop there because it is close to my house in Ruidoso .As I passed through the food area I stopped to order fried chicken. The employee was rude and doesn’t treat customer with respect, he wanted to fight me. Just because I requested certain pieces of chicken.They lied when I call to complaint the assistant manager told me, her employee didn’t say what I stated to her.

Albertsons is always busy but that's to be expected. The staff are always welcoming and helpful. Bakery goods are great. Sushi plates are good made daily. Very clean store .

I hate to share the truth about this store because we need them in Ruidoso but...Be careful if you buy country style ribs there. Smell the package through the cling wrap because this pork that was packaged today is actually already bad and so bad that you can smell the stench. The salmon is just the same. Even the salmon from the case is already way past edible. Someone is going to get very ill. People tell me to put it in the freezer at home immediately, but why would I freeze putrefying fish? I can't serve it to anyone.If you bring these items back, you are treated with suspicion like it's your fault. Before I buy any packaged pork items anymore, I am going to the office and ask them to open it or just sniff it through the wrap. This is so grossly irresponsible of any store that sells meats.The bakery is horrible too. The muffins taste like rancid oil. Why would any bakery do that unless management wasn't willing to throw out oil that isn't any good anymore just to keep their reported costs low? Don't buy a cake or a pie from them. The icing on the cake and the pie crust is so cheap and disgusting that you will be disappointed and embarrassed when you serve them.Stick to frozen.This is clearly a management problem that may be coming from corporate. But why? We all spend tons of money there just to be treated like a big box store at checkout because they can't afford baggers. You load your groceries into the shopping cart yourself and there is no carry out unless they are feeling like it. When the one bagger sees me coming with a full cart, he quickly moves to a different line so he won't have to work too hard. I am 70 years old and disabled while he is maybe 35.So, that's my experience every week at Albertsons Market.

Just a short drive from Texas but a huge lack of hospitality. Most of the employees looked angry and upon entering, we were "herded" by a "direction-cop" woman. Just used to being greeted with, "welcome to . . . " upon entering a store. Gotta adjust my expectations

Please avoid the sushi!!! All of our 4 options reeked so bad. The seaweed salad smelled like rotten fish, not sure how that's possible. Even the avocado topping was hard and underripe.

Rude, disrespectful, and unprofessional employee. Just bought some groceries and paid EBT at self check out. My transaction seemed to go through and I thought allwell and paid for so I started “walking casually” back to my car with the groceries. The self check out employee came out yelling and screaming at me. I actually thought I forgot an item and that’s why she was trying to get my attention. Turns out there was 1 item not covered by EBT and there was still a balance. The employee was trying to act like I was outright stealing which was not the truth. I just didn’t realize something wasn’t covered by EBT. I wasn’t running away or anything to make it seem like I was trying to steal the 1 item. The other 20 items were paid for by the way. The employee was belittling me and chastising me in front of other customers. It was just a honest mistake. She could have went about it completely different. I paid the remaining balance without any argument. Don’t rush to judgements and call people a thief in front of everyone until you know what really happened. I talked with the manager and he was apologetic and understanding. So he at least was cool about it.

My favorite neighborhood store. It is clean, well stocked, has all kinds of wonderful ready made food you can just take home and cook and also the best smoked gouda pimento cheese I've ever had. Once we found peppers with boudin in them and they were fantastic but I've never found them again.

They can't seem to keep real food in stock. They have plenty of junk food but when I go in to buy actual food, they're out of half the items they carry that are on my list.

Such a nice store! Employees were all very friendly and the store was very well stocked. It’s our go to grocery when we are in Ruidoso. Special shout out to Rita my checker this morning 6-19-23. She really was so pleasant and went the extra mile by getting a plastic sleeve for the flowers I had purchased. Keep up the great work and know that people really do appreciate your efforts.

A staple here in Ruidoso. We always come here to get some missed items plus more. The meat and chicken are of good quality and the fruits are always tasty. A good location in the middle of ruiodoso and conveniently located. I’m glad we came here look forward to our next visit as the family is always craving something different.

Cart retrievers (2) were playing with their phones out in the parking lot instead of retrieving carts. Store was crowded, difficult to navigate. And the ultimate insult: checker put my potatoes ON TOP of my tortillas...Guess that's my punishment for not using self checkout.

Hey glorified 7-Eleven. You're better off going to Roswell or Alamogordo. Updated: to clarify, these are the things you will find. Expiration dates on food items that are expired. Frozen thawed then frozen again ice cream and frozen products. Produce selection is what it is, but it is apparent that the refrigeration system lacks consistency due to the fact that some produce will look like it's been frostbitten... Even in the middle of summer. Lack of consistency of keeping items in stock.

The biggest issue is stocking the shelves during the day. The stockers are always in the way, especially the aisles where the paper products and cheese are. Ruidoso NM store.Pay the employees more to stock at night instead of inconveniencing the paying shoppers during the day.

I have never been treated with or witnessed such disrespectful behavior and unhappiness as a customer. I left the store in tears and crying. I was in line with my family, and I needed to buy a pack of cigarettes. The cashier called over a woman named Kelly, and she walked to the register and made snide remarks to the employees about the proper way to call her over. I understand correcting behavior and enforcing policy, but the manner in which she spoke to the cashier and bagger was completely rude and despicable. She shook her head, slapped her hands on her thighs, and rolled her eyes and very rudely told the cashier that he is not to yell for her. When we had trouble getting the cigarettes scanned, the cashier called her over again and she again displayed terrible attitude, shouting that it will take her a minute and making terrible facial expressions. She made me and my family feel like we were an inconvenience to serve and like we were not welcome to shop there. The bagger, Teresa, commented that she was afraid to call her over again because they were scared to be in trouble with Kelly. There is no reason to be so nasty to people. I called the store and Kelly answered the phone, I was crying and in hysterics, and she acted as if she had no idea what I was talking about and that she "doesn't even remember" helping us buy cigarettes. I explained to her that she hurt my feelings and she laughed and scoffed at me. When I pointed this out to her, she commented "I have other people calling the line, and I need to take care of them, okay?" before giving me an exasperated and insincere apology, and only because I demanded one. The way Kelly spoke to me on the phone made me feel like I was crazy for having a bad experience and like she didn't do anything wrong, and I was the problem. Thank goodness that the cashier and bagger were sweet people, and the gentleman I got on the phone with after Kelly hung up on me was also kind and understanding.
