It's Walmart. There are never enough cashier's. I don't do self check out. I don't work for them! And now they have changed the greeters into Walmart gestapo as you exit...Can I see your papers?!Customer service has never been a strong attribute at Wally world. At least not in any store I've been to.

It's pretty clean and organized. There was not always matching shelf pricing in the holiday seasonal section. No wait at self check-out. The greeter was very friendly. I don't remember her name, but she was elderly, slender, with white curly hair.

I rarely go there because it's such a headache and the people, aside from the pharmacy staff who are wonderful, are straight up jerks. I was talked down to and disrespected by the server in the deli today who, if I'm not mistaken, is supposed to be helping customers. If you don't like your job, either quit or do your dang job with a fake smile like everyone else in the world has to do. Btw if anyone at Walmart is seeing this, he was there today, Wed 2/28/2024

The new store setup is horrendous. I called 14 times today about a pickup order and no one but automotive would answer the phone. I asked to speak to the store manager multiple times and was never transferred or allowed to speak to one. An employee from the Vision Center finally walked to the pickup area and had a supervisor call me. Then he told me he could not help me. I asked again to speak to a store manager and was told he could not get me one. And was told that retail stores no longer have people who can answer calls! Then why when you call the store number it gives you options to dial different departments. I have been a customer at this store over 20 years. And I can guarantee that I will be shopping elsewhere from now on. I will be contacting corporate headquarters.

Nice walmart. Had my dog with me. I was traveling & needed asprian & and the guy at the door asked me if the dog was a "service dog." Really? The young gal at self checkouts helped me use phone to pay as I had my wallet taken in Vernon, TX. She was a wizard. The door guy was a sweetheart in the end!

The employees are very nice however, the manager named Silas and Coach needs more training. We were purchasing a storage bin that rang up differently than the price on the display. He said that he would go over there to do a price check and we waited 7 minutes before I walked over there myself. He never returned and we were holding up the register so we paid and left.Also, every other Walmart store I’ve been to keeps antibacterial wipes available for the carts except for this location. There were so many shoppers coughing profusely, any measure to help stop the spread of viruses is important.

Shelves empty, they never order excess during holidays. When you go through self checkout you are litterly stalked, employees looking over your shoulder to make sure you ring everything up. Patrons are talking lawsuits etc. I understand security but when your actually harassed then they need to do away with the self checkouts. One time I swiped the wrong debit card and got my other one but before I could swipe it I was questioned about what I was doing and did I not know how to pay with a card. I've been accused several times of not ringing things up and pulled up my receipt to prove I did. No apology, no nothing except for a childish temper tantrum, and that was out of a manager.

Walmart isn't a good idea for anyone who doesn't want to feel like they're in a communist setting. I didn't see the point of the employees even being there. If I wanted to be a cashier and insist that you are stealing...Is work here. Horrible environment. I wish I could get the old store back. Where employees didn't show up. The front door greeter was an awesome end to a horrible shopping environment. Please go to Thrift way or Albertsons.

Walmart has some beautiful flowers in and the employees are great..just wish I didn't have to stand in line forever to check out whether that be at self check out or in a line where a employee is working....I understand that they don't have enough people to put on the register then do like other Walmarts and put more self check out registers because I think people seem to like those more often anyway....but Walmart is a good place to shop for a everyday needs no matter what it may be 😉😊

This location is pretty good. What you would expect from a Walmart, and while they are rebranding, getting more technology and selling better products, this location is still a little underwhelming. A good store for lots of goods and groceries. The service here is improving.

Walmart is clean even though I don't like the new look . The old look was a lot better . The staff is friendly and managers are always willing to when problems arise. Other than that it's one of the better Walmarts I've been into .

I live 30 mins away I called to see if they had pellets for the wood burning stove and the guy said yes that they have plenty drove all the way got there and they didn't have any very disappointed waste of my gas to go when they said they have them then they don't

I like shopping at different Walmarts because they all differ in what is sold. I was able to find a gift for my granddaughter for her upcoming birthday that I couldn't find during the holidays and that the Walmart in my hometown doesn't have

Always enjoy peaceful shopping at this Walmart in Ruidoso, NM. Always find good bargains. This visit was tainted by two employees who were rude in responding to a question I had. A male and female employee lurking in the back school supply section who said they don't work there while wearing their Walmart garb. The hostess, on the contrary, was very friendly and welcoming. It was like meeting Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde.

Terrible meat.1.Weights are inaccurate, they charge you more.2. Gotten sick multiple times from meat here3. Have opened chicken and beef packages from here only to be met with a rancid smell of decomposition

I have used the “pick up” option since they started offering it at this location. It’s been great! The staff that they currently have working are wonderful! They always make sure that my groceries are packed safely into the car and they’re kind and easy to talk to.I don’t typically go inside, but when I have it’s been clean and I’ve been able to get in and out pretty fast which I appreciate.

This must be the smallest physical store in the state. The people here seem to be nice enough, employees as well as other customers, that is an important consideration in our world today.Aisles and store are clean enough as this store is busy . Customer service is limited resulting in longer waiting in line for check out. No sense of urgency here. Lol.

We always try and be fair to companies. But man our ruidoso Wal-Mart auto center is just bad. We just waiting for 45 minutes. One car going in the bay. We are the next car. I was told about 45 minutes. Sure no problem. Go inside shop around for 45 minutes. Come back my vehicle still out side. A vehicle that wasnt even in the line when we were there. Was in the bay before us. So now 45 minutes has past and our car not even in the shop. Paid for out items. Asked for my keys. And left with out oil change. Makes no sense. But it is what it is. Dont think managnent cares. Been like that for some time.

Ten checker positions, only one open. Line all the way across the aisle. Machine checkers mean you get no service, real checkers mean jobs for people and a stronger economy.

Busted my oil pan today Friday 11/24/23. Sons will miss their first wrestling tournament in Albuquerque due to them not wanting to fix it till Monday 11/26/23. Crazy they can't change tires or offer any rental car replacement.. still fighting for a rental as this is insane.. never get a filter changed by these children!

The killer here are the lines at busy times. Early shopping is great, not problems. Afternoon and evening shopping can be a nightmare with 2 registers open and self check out only. The lines for all three lead to the back of the store and wait time will be longer than 30 minutes to check out.Update: Walmart will not listen to its people that they work with.I quit because I was not heard, but punished when I did by a coward. The military taught me that I had to be professional in my tasking and that I had to listen to my management. This has changed over my time here. I have been through 3 departments in Walmart:Front-end registerOver nightsDigital shopperFront end: it started out OK but the further I worked I put more effort into it than my management. I knew more about fixing machines, helping customers, and employees. When you boss ( Greg) stands there laughing and smiling while you have a customer picking a fight with you for 5 minutes over is midperspectives of the situation; it leaves a sour taste in your mouth. Human resources helped a little by allowing you to change areas.Over nights: when you are forgotten about in a position you need relief from to piss, pestered into more and more work, and even given more to do then them; again it sours you mouth. When your boss (Noel) asks you to cut your lunch by 20 minutes to keep the peace, i felt he over stepped .When you voice your opinions to management and they repeat the same issues again; that's manipulation. HR now tells me to find another job because "I don't think we have a job here to make you happy". My anger grows.Digital shopper:An absentee landlord runs this place (Oscar) , does not care about his crew through his actions of just point and clicking tasks. He took us into the cold (20 degrees with wind chill) into a steel box for black Friday. We were dressed for 60 degree weather of the store. He seems to have skipped a few steps in leadership training, but he avoids his crew like a plague, unless his boss is present. When you speak up off line (off clock) with a trusted leader, you are punished not for your reasons but for the language. The coward (Aron) who is getting demoted from Store management pulls me into the office on his last day with (Larry) and like two detectives already deciding your guilty, walk you through what you did wrong with your language but never addressing the underlying issues. You loose hope. No context, no interveiws; communication could have solved that issues before it became an issue. I was left unheard. They will shut you down in a heart beat or hang up on you for trying to speak you peace. I have been hung up on multiple times trying to address my concerns with ethics and open door.My suggestion to management is this: hold a open door in the break room between 3 different groups. Lower, mid management, and coaches. Allow amnesty for language and from reprisal. Listen to your employees in person; feel their concerns about working there. You might see patterns in behavior and might stop the gross amount of turn over at that store. At this point I will never work for walmart again and I will tell others why.You may learn that management like HR might complains that no one wants to work. If they listened they might learn no one wants to work for you.Walmart ethic told be by way of conversation that even though you clocked out; you are still held to higher standards like your on salary employees and anything you do or say can and will get you written up; again that system that was made to help can and will be used against you by your leadership to shut you up instead of fixing the problems.

I'm always on a schedule. When I don't have time to run inside on a busy day I just plan a pick up order. The app is good but sometimes the store substitutes some of your items. This is not always helpful. Sometimes you receive items you did not even purchase like almond milk. Staff was polite and helpful despite the mix ups.
