This is a beautiful RV park with tall trees and plenty of space to walk, explore, and enjoy nature. The park is quiet, well-maintained, and family/pet friendly. There is a clubhouse where activities are hosted in the mornings and evenings, although we did not participate - many guests did.The main office is equipped with basic groceries, frozen meat, canned goods, milk and dairy products and other items you might need during your stay. They also have a small gift shop, including sweatshirts with the resort logo, and souvenirs.Having said that, though, you will want to come equipped with plenty of groceries, as their store isn’t cheap. They also do not sell beer, alcohol, or cigarettes. The closest place to buy any of those things is the town of Mora, a 20 to 25 minute drive from the park. There are a couple restaurants in Mora, but they are not open every day, or for very long hours. In other words if you want to be near bars, restaurants, shopping, or nightlife - this is not your place. We didn’t care about those things, but did wish we had stocked up a little better for our stay, and will in the future, as we will likely return. Our goal was to be in between Taos and Santa Fe - the only two day trips we had planned during our week at the park. It is about an hour and a half to each of those cities from Pendaries. The drive to Taos is stunning with plenty of streams for fishing all along the drive, and breathtaking views and scenery. Also, Taos is well worth the trip. A wonderful, friendly town with a lot to see and do. Many art galleries featuring local artists, and lots of excellent restaurants for quick local fare and also for fine dining. We had tapas and craft cocktails at Martyrs Steakhouse on the outdoor patio, where we were allowed to bring our border collie.Be aware that things close down around 6pm in both Taos and Santa Fe, which were were surprised by and not all restaurants and galleries are open in the middle of the week.I am including photos of Pendaries and some of our drive to Taos.

Nice RV park with extremely cordial staff. Temperature was 15° cooler than Rio Rancho. Tall pines encompass the park, providing a lot of shade. Most spots have plenty of room. The only bad thing about the park is that we had cellphone coverage.😡

Beautiful scenery! Staff shared a short hike for us to take up the mountain side where there was an abandoned turquoise mine! It was gorgeous and you could see for miles at top of the peak! Our site was spacious and campground was well maintained. We were a 44ft toy hauler and had no trouble backing into our site.

This has been my favorite rv spot for a few years now. It’s a total peaceful, happy spot for me and my family. As such, it’s 100% in my best interests to keep it secret. However, a fire came through the area recently and I thought I’d post about to support the business through tough times. Here’s the news: it’s STILL one of the most peaceful, happy spots I’ve visited. At first glance, you’d maybe even think nothing has changed - the forest and the beauty live on.So if you’re on the fence about visiting, don’t be. You won’t regret experiencing this gem of a campground.

My family and I wanted a weekend getaway. This place is amazing. They have lots of room between parking spaces. The staff are friendly and helpful. The mini store has all that you may need for last minute meals and or toiletries. The bath house is modern and extremely clean and warm. The trash is picked up daily. The resort is child friendly with a great playground and basketball court and is also dog friendly. It has a building with a pool table, books and DVDs you can borrow. It is a quiet and serene. My family and I didnt want to leave. We will definitely return. It is a beautiful place to stay.

Beautiful scenery great way to get away from everything. Here are the reasons I took a star away. First of all they know they have extremely high water pressure after I payed and got my packet they informed me that they recommend a pressure regulator. Oh you don’t have one how convenient we can sell you one. Really! Second the pads are not paved nor are the other road ways if it were to rain I would not even try to park in this place. Third there are very few options to get food anywhere in this area ( I am talking for a 20-30 miles) there is a food truck in front however their hours and days are not exactly convenient it was only open Thursday through Sunday. The golf course across the street has a snack bar that serves food however their hours are strange too and change give them a call. Last but not least the wifi is terrible. All and all the place is very beautiful we did enjoy the views and it’s quiet just be prepared for some of these things and you will have a beautiful stay.

Our favorite park so far! There are a lot of spaces in this park under trees and beautiful stars, but the layout makes it feel like the lots are much larger than they are. This park is well kept, and so much fun! The community club house has scheduled socials and games and it is common to see campers eating with new friends. Will be back again and again!

We spent 6 nights here and it was very nice. Started out in site 44 for the first 4 nights. We asked for 2 more nights and they moved us to site 36. We enjoyed it even more as it was on the edge of the campground near more trees. The campground has free Wifi that worked fine at times. When it did not we used our devices as hotspots. We have AT&T service that worked great. When I checked in I was given directions to a location for AT&T reception. Apparently it was a conversation wasted as the cellular service in the campground was more than adequate. They do have WiFi plans for sale offering faster service if you need it. Covid signs are posted everywhere telling you the bathroom/shower house is closed but it is open? Not locked and has a sign telling you to wear a mask while using bathroom/shower house. We had lunch one day at the snack bar on the golf course that was across the street. Very nice view of the golf course from the snack bar's patio area. We plan to visit again.Site 44 has a sewer hose connection issue if you do not back deep into the site. My 20 foot of hose was not enough. My neighbor had the same issue so we joined hoses to make it work. Gotta do what ya gotta do !

Beautiful place worth the drive. Host is a gem and owner operator goes over and above to help out stranded campers and willing to do anything to make your stay wonderful. Host Mat, dog sat my dogs for a family emergency he went above what was expected of him.... And is heaven on earth. And night times the sky is breath taking.

Stayed in the cabin this time around. It was definitely a "cabiney" feel. House was clean and comfortable. Kitchen was fully stocked although it was with poor quality stuff, but it is a cabin! The grill outside was amazing. Would definitely stay there again!

Stayed a night and woke up next morning wishing we had booked more nights here. Such a great community set up in the forest (bear country), close to starry lake state park and has its own hiking trail to an old turquoise mine. Worth the detour ride from the I-40. Beautiful!

Really enjoyed our stay here. Beautiful location. Good cell service for how remote it is. Lots of shade and the weather was perfect. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Excellent and challenging hike to an old turquoise mine right on the property. Highly recommend it!

Spent four pleasant days under the tall pine trees. It was our fourth visit and all the folks have been very friendly every time. Pendaries golf course is close by and I highly recommend it for its challenging layout and beautiful views.

Pendaries is the nicest RV park we've visited in 6 years of RVing. Pendaries is remote; high in the mountains; quiet, full of nature (like bears and wild turkeys); large sites; tall trees. Park management is great; helping guests with specific needs. There are no campfires at Pendaries so my RV and lungs won't be filled with smoke. The camp store has basic necessities. There are serious hikes right off the RV park (bring a walking stick or two) with incredible views. Across the street is the gorgeous Pendaries golf course with a couple seasonal restaurants. Pendaries is so special. Pendaries has more owner sites than transient sites perhaps leading to the friendly culture. There's a clubhouse, shuffleboard, horseshoes, open areas and daily trash pickup at each site. After staying at Pendaries, we will have a hard time enjoying other RV parks.

I love this park. They have several spots for large 50 amp RV's and some really nice spots with covered tables. The roads inside are nice, and the staff there is great. This site is only open in the summer from about mid May to mid October, with a very popular 'Christmas in July' timeframe in late July. Reserve early to get what you want. This park has permanent to semi-permanent residents living in the hills behind/above it - so there is full water, sewer, wi-fi already in place with very good reception in just about every spot of the park. The entrance requires a gate code, so only those who live there, or are renting there can come and go.The residents are very nice, park amenities are clean and well maintained. The little shop has basic supplies (like milk and orange juice) but there is nothing else nearby, you'd have to drive into town to get more than just the basics. Its very quiet, but easy to access from the road.It truly feels like going to the woods to boondock, but better...

We had a long, level and picturesque gravel site nestled amongst tall pine trees. Great Checkin process, superb bathhouse, and a Sunday afternoon ice cream social to boot. Park was very quiet and had trash pickup each morning. We had open access to clubhouse to watch TV as there is no OTA signal and very spotty wi-fi. Verizon 1 bar or less. ROCIADA is very remote, but that's the beauty of this place. Could easily spend a month or more here as long as I had plenty of food in the freezer.

Spacious lots. Areas for hiking. Large play areas for the family. Aaron and his wife help make this location a top rated RV campground. They even have locally raised beef for sale in the store.

This is a quiet and somewhat secluded RV park. Very nice if you want to relax and not do much. A little far from the things we wanted to do, but we enjoyed our stay.

This place is amazing. People and staff are great. Spaces are fairly level making set up quick. There is also plenty of space between sites. Daily trash pick up and activities for everyone. A must try for a night, weekend, week, or maybe never leave....

Very nice, large park in the pines. Great spacing between sites. Gorgeous setting in lush valley. A point off for advertising free internet, which is quite sporadic!
