I've been a customer of The Fish Room for over a year now and it has always been a great experience. Yes, you may have to wait a little bit to be helped, but that's only because they give each customer 100% of their attention to make sure all your questions and needs are met. Dustin goes above and beyond to help everyone and ensures all fish are healthy before ever put out for sale. His advice has really helped make my aquarium thrive. I love that they carry unique fish that you can't find at the big box stores. That's why I keep coming back. I really enjoy the diverse tank that Dustin and his team have helped me create. I will be a customer for life.

Walked in had to wait about 10 mins before anyone helped me and when they did they recommend everything I wasnt looking for cause what I was looking was not in good health flashing, floating upside down, laying on the substrate like it was about to die. had many successful tanks which I told them I knew what I was doing cause they talk to you like you don't know anything about the hobby you're in which is why your in there trying to give them business in the first place. First and last time I'll go in there don't like the way they treat you. I never leave reviews so that will tell you something in it's self

They are experienced and happy to help people new to the fish keeping hobby. Their prices are actually comparable to big stores like PetSmart. They also have higher quality food than the chain stores I've visited. They have growing assortment of fish and a fun and helpful Facebook community page to help you out of you can't run into the store.

The best place in the Metro area to get beautiful/highly sought after fish, and practical advice. The staff helped me with plant distribution in the substrate, and how long to have tank cycling before introducing fish to my aquascape. These guys want you to succeed in the hobby, and their sincerity to the craft is second to none. The Fish Room has an insane variety of fish, awesome staff, and chill vibes... what more could you want?

I love this quaint little fish store! It has a very peaceful, mellow vibe the second you walk in. The guys that run the place are super nice, extremely knowledgeable and very patient with my million dumb questions, lol. Yes, the prices are a bit higher than the "big box" pet stores, but their selection is way, way better. If you are looking to build or add on to your aquarium with beautiful, healthy fish...this is the place you want to go. Also, help support a local small business. You won't regret it.

This is a wonderful place. The fish are well cared for and healthy. The owners are knowledgeable, love what they do, and want to share that with their customers. If you are new to aquariums, and want to learn how to start a healthy tank that will thrive, they will help you do that. If you are already an experienced aquarist, you will appreciate how they run the shop.

What a cool place, and I love that they carry Aquarium co-op products! We got some very healthy and beautiful gold laser corydoras. The owner was super helpful and professional. We live 2 hours away but this was definitely worth the drive!

The man who owns the store is Very friendly and helped inform me on things I wasn’t sure about, great customer service!!! Very clean and nice environment, all the fish were thriving and healthy. Very cool experience would recommend !!

I popped in here because it came up through the Aquarium Coop website as a store that carried their products. I was beyond thrilled by the husbandry of the fish stocked for purchase, the pleasing atmosphere of the shop and the kind and knowledgable owner. They helped me pick out the right amount of substrate for me new aquarium and were happy to talk about all the fish that I had questions about. This is by far my favorite fish store and I can’t wait to go back to start stocking my newest fish tank!

I bought two mystery snails and six blue dream shrimp and they are doing great! I’ve always had some stock die off when purchasing shrimp, but this time not only are thriving, two are even berried already! Thanks for the shrimp and snails, I will definitely be back to see what else you have!

We love the Fish Room! Dustin is extremely knowledgeable and Will take the time to share his expertise with you. There is a great selection of aquatic plants and cool and unique community fish. Most importantly, everything you get there is of great quality and the fish stock is extremely healthy. I included a picture of my first aqua scape project with plants and advice from Dustin. We are so grateful we found this shop!

Best place for freshwater aquarium supplies and fish. Massive inventory of anything you could want, everybody is extremely knowledgeable whatever the question may be. Don’t spend your money at petco or petsmart!!! These fish are all healthy and quarantined.

This place of business is hands down the best place I've found for any aquarium related product. They have well taken care of fish. That they quarantine before adding to the showroom. Food, plants, plant food, aquascape products. It's great. It is small. It's not the big box buy everything in one place type of deal. But it's friendly. And like I said. Well taken care of fish and plants. The owners are really great and knowledgeable about anything in their store. As long as you cycle your tanks, this shop has everything you need to get and keep you going. Much love to this place.

We've been in a few times now to get things to establish our tank, substrate, hardscape, plants, etc. Dustin is extremely knowledgeable and takes the time to greet every customer that comes in, and he makes sure to spend time with each person to ensure they're happy. The atmosphere is very calm and clean, and the fact that he prioritizes the health of his fish and plants is refreshing. He always has a pleasant happy demeanor and it's super easy to ask him questions. I think we have found our favorite local fish store. ❤️

Found by accident. I received a new fish tank, to keep an old fish (he died 🤧) , but I love watching fish. So, time to set up the tank. Left for a week up and running. We went to The Fish Room because of the great reviews. As others have said, Dustin is a really nice guy that is passionate about fish. He's also very friendly and good with kids. Our 2-year-old son Dominik, who we were there to buy fish for, said Dustin "is so funny". The shop is very well maintained, and going to be expanding further. It's the type of business you're happy to support. They have a large selection of locally-cultured fish (and snails) , identified by blue price tags, which I think is cool.

Dustin is very knowledgeable and helpful. I’m a true beginner and he got me started right. His advice has been spot on. If he doesn’t have everything you need, he will either order it or point you to what to get at one of the big chain stores. I go back for the customer service.

Finally a worthy fish store with both common and a good selection of less common species. It's a growing operation and every time I have a visit, things have improved. I don't mind slightly higher prices because his fish have been meditated with a good 30 day quarantine period. Don't think he's expensive, because many of the larger ticket species have been priced lower than online offers. Fish are my pets, and getting healthy options is worth an extra few dollars. Thankfully, Albuquerque finally has a fish source worth 5 stars.

My boyfriend and I recently got into aquariums and we were having horrible luck at other local shops in town but we heard about the fish room and checked it out. We ended up getting some galaxy raspoboras and they’re now getting so big, bright and beautifully healthy. We refuse to go anywhere else, it’s worth the 1 round trip to get what we really want which is quality. So so thankful for how patient the workers are and how they take time to remember who you are and what fish you have bought from them so they always check in. Very friendly environment!
