Pathetic. This poor Guinea pig sitting on this table (barely!!) no food, no water, no bedding, no hide, no toy/chew, NOTHING. I asked a worker whom was very rude about it and said “that’s why it’s a private area”. So apparently it’s okay to have them in this situation as long as it’s done so privately. I get he may be sick or going for some vet apt that requires fasting but this is inexcusable. Can’t offer a house to feel more secure? Bedding? A toy? Nothing. Really disappointing since this is the same petsmart we adopted a hamster from that was sick at the time. He had a chronic head tilt due to ear infections and couldn’t be sold so we adopted . Everyone loved him and handled him for his meds so he was really friendly. He lived 3 1/2 years with us. So sick or not the animal should have a proper place to rest/live. She also went back there and immediately moved him out of sight but not long enough to have Provided him basic necessities. So not only is he potentially sick but now he gets to be stressed. Absolutely unbelievable. I wonder if he’ll have to sit like that all night in that cold, lonely, scary, empty cage 😒 also had he walked to the front of that cage he would have knocked it to the floor. Whatever careless employee did this needs to be fired. Go work at a gas station.

We have a good experience almost every time we go. However we did buy a glow fish and 1 of the cashiers flipped the bag upside down which we thought was strange. Needless to say the fish didn't even survive and make it to our tank at all. So that sucked. The next day the did take the fish back and give us another and it is still alive. So I'm not sure if it was just a freak accident or if it was the cashier flipping the bag upside-down 🤷‍♀️

I absolutely adore this location. Everyone here is super friendly. Dan is an amazing manager and is super friendly. Remembers people well and honestly a joy to see!

It's great for Rio rancho. The staff is awesome and knowledgeable about your pets needs. The corporate side of the store doesn't stock certain brands . But I have a Cane Corso Mastiff so big dog stuff is kinda hard to come by anyways. Overall an awesome place to go with professional help.

So honestly, it's more the unsolicited animal advice we get from one of the employees/managers? She also didn't want to sell me a fish cause we didn't have a proper setup (in her opinion). We feed them to our crawfish occasionally cause they haven't had minnows. But she's made a lot of assumptions on two separate occasions. Kinda don't like going to this location. I'm not saying the education isn't welcome, but it can occasionally be a bit much. Or condescending. Like being told a betta will kill itself if it's in a divided aquarium. I've had several over the years. Never had one kill itself. I did have one jump out of a fish bowl once. Had nothing to do with it being able to see another fish. Anyway. Good store. Weird employee interactions occasionally. Just sell the fish.

Scheduled a 4pm grooming for my dog. Upon arrival, I am told I will be charged an additional fee for Express service. I informed the csr that I had never paid this fee in the past. She argued with me that I had. Needless to say, I will not take my pets to this grooming spot. Adding fees to an already expensive grooming expenditure, I opted out. I purchased grooming tools on Amazon and did the grooming myself.

Took my almost 2 year old Dachshund in for a nail trim. They took her right away and was in and out in no time. She took very good care of my Luna who can be very difficult when it comes to cutting her nails.

Took our dog for the first time to a store,and to be groomed ( usually, we have someone come to our home). The groomer, Jose, did a great job! We will certainly be bringing our dog back when it's time for her to be bathed and groomed!

Nice selection of items and decent prices... however, after taking in our dog for a nail trim and expressing of glands, we will only be shopping here in the future.They didn't know what they were doing with the glands, and also barely trimmed our dog's nails, thus leaving us with the same issues we had prior to going in. We'll be using our vet for those things in the future.

Katie is Amazing! She is incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. She met and answered all of our needs. She helped us pick out the right fish for our 20 gallon tank. And gave us good tips on how to maintain the tank clean without having to do any heavy lifting. Now we've had our tank for 3 months and it's stayed in good condition. Thank you Katie, for your professionalism and expertise!

I went here to get fish for my new Biorb tank and some of them died. Before I got new fish the associate had me test my water first and wait a week. I did and now my tank is habitable for fish. Dan was very knowledgeable and helpful. I got a refund for the dead fish also.

I have had several interactions that mostly consist of me needing something. I cannot explain the wonderful service I have had every single time whether it be pick up, product knowledge or grooming appointment. The staff at this particular store are simply professional, courteous and willing to do whatever it takes to help. Love this location. It certainly feels smaller than some other stores, but I prefer it. They have everything I need for my dog, cats and bearded dragon all in one place. Above all the people that work their are the absolute best.We stopped in for some pet Christmas gifts and found lots of cute options. Jaylen offered help as soon as we walked in, and was just a joy at check out!

Big shout of gratitude is in order.I have a very picky eater and I've spent, and wasted, a lot of money on various dry dog foods. I've been hesitant to spend on a more expensive raw food to try, but because of the return policy I bit the bullet and tried once again... And I didn't need to return it! She's eating it! Joyfully! So much stress is gone and I really truly appreciate the kindness of staff here. Thank you guys!
