I was standing there for 15 min waiting for crickets. The man at the Register never acknowledged me. Never said I'll be right with u or anything. He kept charging customers at the Register when I was waiting before them. I ended up leaving and he never said a word to me. Didn't even care that I walked away. I try to support local stores but in this case i rather shop at Pet's Mart

AMY the GROOMER is AMAZING. She's so good and thorough and gentle yet confident. She grooms my two Standards in just about 2 hours.

It was very calm and fully stocked with things we needed for our pets. I bought her little boots because her paws are sensitive against the pavement we have at home. It's too rough for her. The worker was very nice too ☺️ We also saw an adorably evil cat named Baby, if we weren't allergic to cats I would have gotten her in a heartbeat.

The salespeople at the Rio Rancho location are very knowledgeable about all of the products they sell. They share great tips regarding pet care. Everyone is courteous and eager to make it a great and productive shopping experience. It is also wheelchair accessible and they help carry items out to the car. Exceptional service.

My black lab loves the strange and honestly kinds gross treats. Chicken or duck feet for a dollar and cow ears 2 for 5!Nice staff, organized store. Prices seem fair.

Daniel is always so helpful, knowledgeable and nice. He is also very patient with all the customers and very nice to our pets.I have been coming to this store for a couple of years only and I like the high quality food and treats they have. I used to go to another store on southern but customer service is very important to me. So I will continue to support this store. They also help place pets in good homes and they donate food to shelters. I’m very impressed and happy they do this kind of contributions to our city.

Terrible experience with adopting a pet. We drove 2.5 hours to adopt and first thing we noticed on the drive home was that he wasn’t house trained and he used the bathroom wherever he was at. Got home and gave it a few days and still no improvement. Took him to the vet and she advised that because he was still young that maybe the new environment was causing to have accidents and to give him another week and if he was still having diarrhea and not attempting to use the litter box then he could be sickly. We did that at this point it had been 10 days, no improvement. Took him back to the vet and said he appeared to be sick and she needed to run tests. We paid for a handful of tests and still don’t know anything. We have had to pay for carpet cleaning, thrown away rugs etc. he was a gift for my children and we can’t even let him out of his cage because there is constant messes. We let Petsense know and because we didn’t return him within 10 days we didn’t get any of the fee back. All of his paper work prior to adopting said he was house trained and healthy. TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE. Never again will we be adopting from here or Casanova cats.

Petsense is the most honest and respectful pet store i have been to in the grater rio rancho / abq area, employees are extremely helpful and i always have great conversations with each employee everytime im there, my wife and i have now been coming here for the better part of 2 years after we got our bearded dragons, hands down the best place for cricket as they are always very healthy and actually are still alive when we get home as opposed to petsmart or petco where by the time i get home about a quarter of them are dead, do you and your pet a favor and not only support a local business but have fun at the same time and always has top of the line products,

This place is amazing, I would really recommend it if ur interested into stuff like fish lizards cool dog toys etc..... to be honest whatever ur needs there there and it's like pet smart but cheaper;)

If I could leave a 0 star review I would. I have tried this petsense location a few times and Kevin doesn't seem to know about their products and this last time I overheard him talking down and bossing around a woman on the floor in front of customers. I had to figure out what I needed and where to find on my own.

I love shopping at Pet Sense for my dogs canned wet food and his treats! I trust the brands and quality! They're always in stock for what I need! They also usually have cats for adoption there! (I can't get one right now) but the kennels are always clean and the cats have food/water and a clean litter box!

They are related to Tractor Supply. Large selection of items for dogs and cats. Everything I need for my 3 dogs. Only location I have found to get the right chihuahua food. I usually have to order it.

I love this place! Petsense has great prices, quality natural pet food, great products, and they always remember my service dog and child. The very nice gentleman there even gives Louie treats when he is with me. The store is clean, neat, and the atmosphere is friendly. On the first through the third of the month, they offer great military discounts, which is super awesome. I just really like this pet store and definitely recommend at least checking out their in house food as it is wonderful quality for a great price. My fur babies goes nuts for the canned food, they have particular pallets.

I like Pet Sense because it's small and you can usually be in and out in 5 minutes or less. They have a good selection for being a smaller store. The prices are about the same as Petco. That's really my only complaint. They are very much a "mom and pop" store with friendly staff.

I’ve brought my 70lb dog here now three times. I pay roughly $81 a visit because I pay for the additional deshed treatment. I don’t understand how my dog is in and out within 1 hour (61 minutes today). I bring my dog every 3-4 weeks and his hair is already clumping with this deshed treatment. I asked today why it was so quick and the response was “he didn’t really need the deshed, he wasn’t that bad”. This is the second time I’ve been told this, yet I’m still paying for the treatment! And, my dog is still shedding like crazy! I have a 4.5 lb dog that takes 1.5 hours to do (yes this includes a haircut) but I still don’t understand. My dog is supposed to get bathed, brushed, nail trimming, deshed, ears cleaned, etc and they are finishing within the hour. I’ve taken my dog to groomers for the last 3 years I’ve owned him and it’s never taken less time then two hours. He normally isn’t clumping up hair within 2-3 weeks either. I’ve had better service at petsmart. I was also told some groomers take less time and some will take more time to do the very best job they can, why isn’t there one standard of treatment?

I am new to the area and finding the right person to groom my dogs is of the upmost importance. My first experience wasn’t a bad one, however it wasn’t the right fit for us. I normally only support small business owners and would never go to a corporate facility for grooming.For whatever reason I ended up trying Amy at Petsense and she is without a doubt the best Groomer I have ever been to.I stayed with the same Groomer for over 20 years in North Carolina and didn’t dream I could ever find anyone that could come close to her capabilities. Amy knows her stuff and just as important as that is to me, my dogs are not afraid of her and that speaks volumes to me.My Jasper was very happy to see her today.Amy tells it like it is, she doesn’t kiss up to her clients, she’s there to do her best work and indeed she does. Great service. They have a good selection for store size. I like not having to walk miles in a store to find what I need and the clerks know where everything is. It feels like a neighborhood store and is located between a grocery store and a Target.I had my large, rescue German Shepherd groomed there recently. It was a big job, but she looked fabulous and it perked her up no end. They didn't rush her and were very patient. It might have been the first time this dog felt "worthy." I'm taking my adopted Shelty in soon, a much smaller dog, but it's a big job keeping that hair under control.If you live in Rio Rancho with pets, you might want to drop in and check it out.
