Great experience. Skied for two days at the resort. I got to the parking lot around 8:30 and still had plenty of spaces in the main lot. The card system for the lift tickets were easy to obtain and easy to use. Used the rentals on site and had zero issues.

Loved the easy access to the lifts and the different levels of difficulty. This is a great place to learn to ski but also a great place for advanced skiers. We took the copper lift which was right next to our room. This lift was a little tricky for me as I almost slipped off trying to get on. The views are incredible. The width of some of the trails was a little narrow which made me nervous for my kids. The lines at the lifts ate directed by staff which made the wait quick and easy. Will definitely go back! This whole town felt like it was straight out of a hallmark movie.

If you want to rest your feet and experience a beautiful view, give the ski lift a try! I had never been on a ski lift and it was about an hour long ride. It was in the 70's, but I still managed to get sunburned (my own fault, rookie move with no sunblock). If you wear a hat, you might want to remove it or make sure it is on tight my husband almost lost his. The view was spectacular! The workers were incredibly sweet. Also a photo opportunity at the half way mark.Price for entry: $22

Overall, always love this place, but in our last trip I was not impressed w one of the staff we came in contact w. One of the ski instructors was quite rude on the bunny slopes. As my son is a new snow boarded and still learning he was using the small slope to work on his skills. In the entrance he was trying to get turned so he could get on the lift and when the instructor, who was not w a class or any students came up, she made it very clear she was annoyed that he was struggling, this made him more nervous which of course made his struggle worse. Instead of trying to help, as one would think an INSTRUCTOR would do, she chastised him for being in the way and taking too long. Most all the staff is amazing but definitely do not see why this woman is an instructor of that is her attitude toward a CHILD who is trying to learn a new skill. Not to mention a paying customer. I truly hope this is not the direction the resort is choosing to go as I know a big part of the draw for this resort is their family friendliness.

We had a great summer experience at Red River Ski & Summer... we visited on a Thursday and it was great. We did the summer tubing run, rope course & Zipline, and the two-seater Zipline. Not many snack options but the town is right there so we were able to leave and find a snack very quickly and return. The pricing added up but it was a fun vacation splurge for us to do all those experiences.

It was a nice family fun tubeing but i did get some rude looks and comments made towards me because of my weight by two employees. But i would recommend takeing your kids there.

First off, they were so rude to us and we were the only asian people there, how convenient. We had multiple workers talk to us like we were stupid and mansplain simple concepts to us. If the resort wants us to do things in a certain order then maybe they should put up a sign that tells us exactly what order to do them in.Second, the employees are so unprofessional. We saw two of the rental people start making out behind the counter, IN FRONT of all the customers. And this wasn't a short moment, this lasted 5 minutes. If you're dating your coworker that's fine but there's a time and place.Lastly, the price is crazy. Almost 200 dollars just to rent and go on the lift sounds like Colorado money. I went to New Mexico to ski so it would save me some money but I might as well have went to Aspen or something.Don't come here if you're asian or looking to save money, or even looking for professionalism because you won't find it here.

Love the small town feel, kind employees, and variety of runs. I've been to many other ski resorts and this one has no lines, quick service, and reasonable prices...including the food on the mountain. Many of the green runs are fairly narrow. Ski/snowboard school was great for our kids who had never done it before (14, 13, and 10). I'd reccomend 2 days of school for new boarders and 1 day for new skiers. We did come a week before the local spring break, so that helped a ton with the lines I'm sure.

We had a fantastic experience skiing and snowboarding this week! They are working very hard to keep everyone safe and follow covid guidelines. They had a smooth process and we can't wait to come back next month! We purchased our tickets online a few days early. They had our lift passes ready for both days at will call. We were able to hop right on the lifts and start enjoying. Their staff were friendly and enforced mask or face coverings.

Love this place all year long. Great place to take your kids to ski. Lots of transplanted Texas. Real small town vibe. Very relaxing ski area. See deer bear and lots of 4 wheeling and mountain bike activities

If you love to ski or snowboard, although small, this place is awesome when they have snow. They also make snow, but only limited areas will be open, you can check the webcams online, as well as maybe visit one of many other New Mexico Ski areas within a short drive, such as Angel Fire, Taos Ski Valley, Sipapu and Ski Santa Fe. It is also a beautiful area to visit in the summer, it is one of the towns along the New Mexico Scenic Byway, known as Enchanted Circle. Cimmaron State Park and Eagles Nest, New Mexico are near, there is a picturesque lake and supposedly many American Eagles around the lake, it is a great area, many things to do and see. Taos is near, as well as the Rio Grande Gorge Bridge. I would also recommend investigating Ojo Caliente, hot springs and mineral baths. Santa Fe is not too far of drive, check out Bandelier National Monument (cliff dwellings). New Mexico has great times all over the state, beauty and history await!

One of the best ski towns around. You can definitely walk all over town to shop, eat, some condos offer door to ski lift just walk out the door and catch the lift. Tubing at night is a definite must, just make sure you get tickets 3 days ahead. We didn't and still go in the 2nd round, but if you want the 430pm round you have to move on it. Ski lessons should also be purchased 3 days ahead.

Very nice place to ski and dear to my heart. There is of course Taos nearby and Angel Fire, which are also deserving places. What Red River has more is the town. It is a little, cute, charming old miners town, and virtually everybody there is really nice. The view of the town from above, driving from Eagle's Nest is really marvelous, as the town is nested in a small valley. The drive from Taos also afford beautiful vistas.

So much fun to be had in the Summer Mountains. The chair lift is a great way to see the Summit.

Red River is the best! Purchased lift tickets the night before skiing and went to will-call in the parking lot where an employee greeted us and gave us an envelope that included our tickets, plastic connectors, receipt, and a trail map. The whole process took about 30 seconds. It was actually better than the normal ticket office or kiosks. Loved it! And there was about 4 inches of fresh powder to ski in on this perfect bluebird day. ❤️❤️❤️

This should be your go-to riding spot. I had the pleasure of visiting this past weekend and had an absolute blast. Everyone I met, from the owner down to the folks in food and beverage, were all welcoming and friendly. Happy place, good vibes.Lots of community activities throughout the week, as well. You'll have plenty to do after a day on the slopes. For my downhill mountain activities, I'd rather drive 4.5 hours from Denver to Red River, NM than take I-70 west for 2 hours.

Nice long green for beginners but beware they still charge a full Montain lift ticket for kids who will only use this area. I didn't go up as I was teaching my son, but I heard the lifts are slow, yet trails are decent.

The rooms were clean and maintained. We really liked its location to the ski resort, the lift was right outside our window.

A great ski mountain for everyone! Very good facilities for all, and their addl snow making helps nature to supply the runs well. We had beginners to advanced skiers in our group and all had a lot of fun and were able to improve skills. This place is not pretentious... It's just a great ski destination!

We were there in the summer for just a day and had a lot of fun. We did the chair lift, seated zipline and tubing (like 4 times it was so fun!). Ran out of time to do the rope course but that looked good too.

Great place to go skiing for adults and kids....fair pricing, The trails have all Ski levels from easy to difficult with good lifts. Lessons available for all age group's . Been coming here for 7 yrs now an I see no reason for go any farther north from Tx than this.Cons no real commercial flights in an out of here, but it is in the middle of a mountain with no airport so kind of hard for large aircraft to get here.

Snow report said 3 lifts open, drove from Santa Fe I saw only one lift running I called and asked how many lifts are running today lady told me 3 I told her I only see one running then she told there’s 3 trails open lol. I asked her how much are tickets she said $59 for what looked like a football field of terrain. She referred us to Taos Ski Valley, so the boys decided to make the trip for a half day.

So i went to RR for the first time on valentines day weekend, felt in love with the place. But i had an accident up high in the trails, and I lost my board. I try looking for it, but it was impossible to find it, and I was in a lot of pain. So as soon as I could i went to the Lost and found, ski patrol, and the help desk, and as i thought no one had seen it or turned it in. I was so upset because that board meant a lot to me and i couldn't believe i had lost it. Since i am from Dallas, I had to go back home that weekend, but I kept calling every day to ask if anyone had found it. I was loosing hope of ever recuperating my board, and i stop calling. Until yesterday, 2 weeks after I had lost it, i got a text from WESLEY at Red River, and they told me they found it.Thank You so much !!! Wesley, i know i was a pain, but you have been amazing help. I cant thank you enough and everyone who help. I am truly happy and so exited to go back.Thank you all at RED RIVER / WESLEY-JAZ
