I thought I would write a review since there’s nothing new or very recent. Is just a basic rustic lodge that is very convenient to just walking through town and has quite a few restaurants within two or three small blocks.The grocery store is literally a five minute walk. Everything was clean, but sorta seemed a little outdated but it was fine. Bathroom was really clean too. Not fancy but was good enough for me and price was decent; there was only one other unit that looked like it was occupied while I was there. Like I had the whole place to myself. This is also one block from the main lift and the beginning of the river hiking trail.

I don’t typically leave reviews, but I’m making an exception due to something that happened after our stay here. First off, the lodge is in the ideal location for Red River Ski Area. A five min walk and we are were at the lodge. The rooms were clean and comfortable. It was nothing fancy, but all we really wanted was a clean warm place to sleep.Now, the reason I’m writing the review. My son left his stuffed gorilla in the room. It probably fell under the bed. Today we received a package from the Arrowhead Lodge with my son’s toy in it. The owner went out of their way to mail it to us. I really can’t believe it. Thank you for returning his toy and thank you again for a wonderful stay. We will be staying there in the future.

Good things: super cheap, close to lifts, room temperature easy to control and maintain, friendly couple managing the property, walking distance to restaurants and shops, parking right in front of door, chairs to sit outside, small refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, table and chairs for eating, plenty of room for 2 people. All that said, I don't believe that I will return. I knew not to expect luxury. I wasn't put off by the dated decor, but the room was not level. My bed was closest to the door and I felt like I was hanging on to try to sleep. I was able to get an extra blanket, but they don't have extra pillows. There was only 4 small pillows for 2 double beds. And there's no pillows in town to purchase...I tried! I knew there was no tub, but I didn't think about wanting soak my sore legs in a tub after skiing all day. I also didn't think about not being able to wash or dry clothes for 6 days. We managed though. Overall, I had a great time. I wasn't there to hangout in a motel room! However, in hindsight, a little extra money for a bit more comfort would have been worth it to me. Had the bed not been on a slant, and if I had more comfortable pillows, I would have had a better experience. Everything else was expected. I was in room 6 with my 18 yo son.

Reading the five-star reviews, I guess I expected more. I'm not sure where those people stayed...certainly not where we did.The good: close to downtown, the bathroom had a lot of counter space, it was relatively clean, had some nice outdoor space and it was less expensive than most places.The bad: the bathroom configuration was convoluted at best, beds were uncomfortable with pillows not worth the money spent, needs updating in a bad way, refrigerator is more than simple white noise, the wifi worked maybe one evening, the kitchen needs some basic utensils, and the place is lacking in simple amenities like ice and vending.If we visit Red River again, we won't be staying here.

Stayed in #7. Very clean. Wall heater does an excellent job keeping the room warm. The room is pretty small so there's not a lot of place to sit. There is a table and two chairs. My only complaint is there is no closet or any kind of furniture to put away clothes which is why I'm giving it 4 stars. There is a set of hooks by the door.

The rooms themselves were good and comfortable. There are no amenities on sight like a larger hotel would offer (breakfasts, pools, hot tubs, etc.). This was explained before we booked so it was not a surprise. Unfortunately, the customer service left a lot to be desired. Simple questions like "can we check in early?" were met with some attitude. That personal interaction can make a difference between my family choosing this location or another on future visits to Red River.

Affordable, renovated rooms and clean! THE closest place to skiing and quiet. We stay here every trip to Red River. The only reason they're not 5 stars is because they do nothing about the ice in the parking lot which is very dangerous. Loading and unloading your vehicle or coming and going from your room is EXTREMELY treacherous. I realize how much work it would take to keep the ice out of the parking area but it MUST be accomplished. Invest in a machine or hire some kids but do it. It is the most glaringly obvious thing lacking at this great place to stay.

Best price in Red River! The owners were super helpful! Our heater went out and without missing a beat, he was laying on our floor fixing our heater. Great customer service. Highly recommend!

It was exactly what we needed for our fishing trip. The atmosphere was nice. Loved the abundance of fire pits, grills, picnic tables, and lounge chairs. Bonus we we're lucky enough to get some fresh baked cookies from the host. It was dog friendly which was a necessity for me. Very close to everything, we walked to the new brewery for dinner and we're able to walk home too since it was close haha! It even backed to an off road trail for you 4x4 enthusiasts. I used the trail to walk my dog often and it was beautiful. Host was very pleasant.

Great location right by the ski area & mountain trails. Good place if you just need a place to sleep & if you have a dog with you as they allow pets. If it's warm in summer, there is no A/C....fyi. We opened windows & used the ceiling fan to cool down. No plugs in bathroom. Beds weren't too comfortable. Overall, great location & low prices.

WOW! What a quaint find tucked away in the right location for the right price that met every need our family was looking for in a true ski in and ski out.Nice, clean rooms with a classic feel. It's a walk across from the little blue slope, gold chair and red river ski area lift ticket office. It's also a stroll away from the lift haus, kids' game room, rental shops and other eateries.If you're visiting in the summer, it's also right by the entrance to Pioneer Road to go off roading on the mountain trails.The rooms have everything you need to get away from it all to unplug and unwind to enjoy making memories to last a lifetime.The owners are friendly, attentive and as honest as the day is long. Plus easy to do business with any time of the year.I would recommend this place to anyone that doesn't require a lot or need to be on your phone much. Cell service in RR alone through AT&T was spotty, as well as in NM. This isn't a negative thing to me, but for some it's their lifeline.We have been twice, two years in a row and cannot wait to come back to stay again with Arrowhead! It's our go-to place for years to come and are never disappointed! Thank you John for your continued great service!

We enjoyed our stay at Arrowhead Lodge. The location is basically right next door to the lifts. Parking was easy and convenient and we enjoyed the fire pit as well. One thing to be aware of is the wifi is not too strong so you may have to drive into town to get better wifi service.

The lodge itself is fine. However while parked in our designated spot outside our room my car was hit resulting in quiet a bit of damage and an evening spent on the phone with insurance agents and the Red River Police Department. As it turns out the individual who hit my car was the owner of the lodge’s son, who works there as well. My car was hit with some speed in the “parking lot” to do the amount of damage that was done. When my car was hit we were out hiking and came back to insurance information under my windshield wiper. No apologies from the owners or any offer of a refund for the inconvenience of having my car damaged by the owner’s son was provided. Would not recommend solely because the owners nor their son had the common decency to apologize.

This place is right next to the gold chair.John was friendly and helpful.the room was a little better than we expected.4 nights for the price of 3.wasnt expecting that.we enjoyed our stay at arrowhead.the only reason i didnt give 5 stars is because the wifi was weak but then again..i didnt go to red river for wifi.thanks for a great 4 days!!! One more thing..plenty of hot water for the long shower after skiing all day!!!

Booked months in advance for a dirt bike ride for a few days. With the forest fire going on the forest is closed so was forced to cancel with weeks of advanced notice. Arrowhead refuses to reimburse for the cancellation. Buyer beware.

This is a great place to stay while in Red River , great rooms, very cosy, reasonably priced, and the customer service you get from the Owners is second to none, what great people they are, will definitely stay here when I'm in town again.

The location is absolutely perfect! This place is a prime candidate for redevelopment to an upscale ski in/ski out resort.
