We brought two camp trailers and one set of Grandparents stayed in a condo in Taos.I expected some snow but I expected they might plow it out of the trailer site but they did not. With the big mud puddles we had to use 4 wheel drive to back into our sites. It did warm up the next days so snow melted down some and the road dried out some. The bathrooms and shower house were fine and the gift store had some things. There were several cabins there and more under construction.Over all it was a good place to stay and not far from attractions.Nearby activities: We did the Enchanted circle drive so we started with Red River then went down to the Taos Gorge bridge and on to the nearby Earthship homes. We then went to Taos and are at the Guadalajara restaurant and visited a few stores. We went next to the Viet Nam Veterans Memorial chapel and museum. One of our party was able to get some printouts related to his cousin who died in Vietnam. He was thrilled. Angle Fire was out next stop and we ate at a small Bakery and Cafe place. The food was good and the wood fire added warmth and atmosphere. Some of us stopped at a couple of stores in Red River and the rest went back to our camp trailers at the 4K. The kids did a little fishing in the pond and in the river but only got one nibble and no fish. The person who referred us here comes up in warmer weather and likes to fish here. There are 4-5 Ski resorts in the area but we do not ski. Most were already closed for theyrar

Beautiful place. We stayed at the condos and it was nice but we would love to stay at one of the cabins next time. They look amazing. Friendly staff. 4 min drive to the ski resort, restaurants and market.Nearby activities: Very close to the ski ranch and town

We had a family trip with 9 families and 9 sites reserved. Paid for the weekend of the September 15-19. During the last day of packing up we had a very bad experience with a guy on a golf cart and his dog. Everyone was enjoying the trip up until this guy decided to ruin the trip for all of us. As everyone was packing up this guy decided to show up with his chest puffed up, approached us and started barking orders to leave the property within 5 minutes or we were going to be charged for another day. We told him to be nice and that we were Going to leave soon. Also told him that if he wanted to charge us for another day that was fine with us. All we asked of him was to be nice and not ruin everyone’s trip. As far as we are concerned my family will not be going back there. Check out was 11 and it was 10:55 when we were pretty much packed but had a little more to do when this took place.

We spent 8 nights camping here. We started out in one spot and had to move for the last two. The camping area is right on the river. The area is all gravel and it can get very dusty. The laundry facility is very nice with four washers and dryers and is reasonably priced. The office has change if needed. I did not see or use the restroom/ shower facilities. There is a playground for kids and a covered area for groups. The park is located a mile west of town.

We stayed in Rustic Cabin 24 and really enjoyed it. Everything we needed aside from groceries was provided. We loved the private pond and playground/pavillion area to relax. It was absolutely beautiful, and we loved hearing the river through our open window at night. The gift shop has a good selection and some necessities if you need them. I will recommend 4K to our family and friends!Rooms: Beds were comfortable, and we appreciated the dresser and closet space.

When we checked in there was six of us and we had two trash bags and two rolls of toilet paper and we stayed for four daysRooms: Beautiful cabinNearby activities: Red river was actually about a mile was good for us because we had our SXS to ride into town

Lovely place. We stayed in condo 1, which was very clean and comfortable. Place is just as described online. Very close to Red River and all the shopping, restaurants and skiing! No issues at all with 4K River Ranch, although the condos do have thin walls. Our neighbors in the next condo were fine but we could hear them. Not a problem just something to be aware of. I would definitely stay here again for the cost and convenience!

We have stayed at river ranch many times over the years. It's been three or four years though. We first tent camped right on the river for a week. And eventually graduated to one of the rustic cabins. I love that the cabins have no television so that everyone can focus on the beautiful scenery. One of my faves is the humming birds! The staff have always been super nice and the bathrooms very clean and convenient . It's a "roughing it ' experience but quite literally around the corner from red river. Would recommend it to everyone.

We take our RV camping in winter, and we love Red River! 4K River Ranch has everything set up for winter camping, heated water taps and bibs, with heated hose available for purchase. The gentleman that checked us in was very accommodating and made sure we were prepared for the freezing temperatures. Firewood cannot be brought from out of state, but the firewood they sell smells so good, it was worth it! We’ll be back for sure, it’s absolutely beautiful in Red River, NM.

This RV resort is in a perfect location! It has beautiful mountain views, a stocked trout pond, and it is riverside! My family enjoyed the fishing and watching the ducks and hummingbirds very much. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. Grounds are kept immaculate and it is peaceful. The office has a stock of camping necessities and a laundromat is also on the grounds. The close proximity to town is also very nice. Surrounding campgrounds in Red River just didn't seem as nice. My only critique is that the pull through spots aren't as roomy and easily maneuverable as one would think, especially the spot at the very end, #58. However, that spot is the most private and once we finally parked, we were happy we booked it.

We stayed at the View, above Fry’s Old Town store. The hot tub had dirty green water and sand at the bottom. It smelled awful. We went out to see it and the kids noted how green the water was. Immediately the host texted and blamed the state of the hot tub on the previous guests. Based on the timing of his response, I’m positive there are cameras inside the unit spying on guests. When checking out we left the unit clean and followed all instructions. I took a video because I had a feeling the hosts were sketchy. Upon arriving home, I received a request for an additional cleaning fee, saying we left the unit trashed, which was completely untrue. Don’t stay here, the unit is dirty, they are watching you AND will lie about condition you left the unit in. I would not return or recommend any of their properties.

First time in Red River and stayed here. It was just for one night but ended up being two, they were accommodating in letting us stay an additional night even though it was unplanned. It was beautiful! My husband and I caught trout from the pond and had it with dinner. They have great little bathrooms on site that you get in with a code. Very convenient. There shop on site has much to offer and the gift shop in town they direct you to is so much fun! Highly recommend staying here if you can!

2nd time at 4k. Stayed 2 nights in May at spot 34 this time, end of the park by the water. It was very peaceful, lots of ducks, hummingbirds, and deer to watch. Beware if you book at that end you have to back all the way down. Ben was a great spotter. We did have to level quite a bit, but worth it for the spot.

This RV resort was ok. They also have cabins to stay in. Just don't stay in the rustic cabins.. no power outlets also towels were old and dingy. No TV. They have no pictures to show of these cabins. Stay away from these. But they do have other cabins that look nice.

Beware, very dirty......We stayed in the 3 bedroom "rustic" cabin for 3 nights over Memorial Weekend. This was the dirtiest place we have ever stayed in all of our travels over the years. I understand rustic, but does that mean no cleaning? Apparently. The floor was so dirty that we couldn't walk barefoot and my pants even got dirty just trying to put them on because they touched the floor. The white down comforter had a big yellow stain on it and lots of long black hairs which we do not have. Really gross! The toilet wouldn't flush when we arrived so we called the front desk and they sent someone, who did arrive promptly. The bathroom window was sealed shut so it couldn't be open to air out and the other windows didn't have any screens so the moths would come in at night when the windows were open. We thought we had no hot water because it just ran cold but the second day we realized turning it to hot was cold water and turning it to cold was the hot water. My husband checked it out and it was plumbed backwards and it wasn't just the handle. I would not stay here again, which is unfortunate because the views were great and it was peaceful.

Best RV park in Red River. Set up everything on line even picking my own spot. I got a spot away from entrance, next to river, easy walk to showers. This is quite park, close enough to town without the noise.Staff were very friendly with easy sign in. We had no problem rules & regulations being texted to us, saves paper. We got a text reminder of check out time. Which made us laugh because we had left at 6AM.Showers/bathrooms were clean, hot water, & plenty of it.Early May is a great time to visit here, because it wasn’t crowed at all.Complete park is gravel, mostly level, with easy turning. Park was very clean. They had 2 couples working/caring for the park. They were building new cabins, where the tent site were, so no tent camping now.We had deer walking through out area, with ducks/geese in river.

Our site was a pull through by itself and basically okay. But it is not level front to back or side to side, and too many big rocks. Very hard to walk - even down the awful roads. The man in charge of scheduling spaces for next year was rude and not helpful at all. After seeing that he didn’t care if we reserved a two week space for 2024 or not, we made a two week reservation at Road Runner RV Park for next year. We been to 4K five times, and for 7 weeks in 2022, but we will not be back, mainly because of Todd.

As we arrived the guy taking us to our spot noticed trouble with our camper suspension and one axle. Before we even got out of our pickup they were crawling under the camper to see what the problem was and took pictures of the broken parts so we could order replacement parts. They offered to install the parts when they arrived and get us back on the road. You can't ask for service like this -- these folks are super. One of the employees came out the the lake and helped anyone who needed help setting up their fishing rig to get the most fish. Excellent trout, many in the 12 - 16 size.

Such a nice place. It is an RV park, so the spaces are close together, but it is a nice park nonetheless. There is a private pond for fishing, so you don’t need to purchase a fishing license. The bathrooms are very nice and there is a laundry room as well. The wifi is not that great, but you are in the mountains after all. The cabins are rustic and cute, but they are planning on updating them later on. The views are amazing.

This cabin was rustic and perfect. Clean beds and towels in all the bedrooms. Living area roomy enough for our family to gather and play games. This is the second year for me to stay and if I come back I'll stay again. I'm just sad that some people have messed it up for us to be able to bring our fur babies to the cabin.

A very nice place! Keep in mind the cabins are very rustic so not everything is going to be like home. The biggest issue for us was the mattresses. They're VERY soft and we kept sinking towards the center and getting in each other's hair and sometimes running into each other when turning over throughout the night. We each slept in separate beds the last night and slept perfectly. The grounds are beautiful and you don't hear a sound at night - nor can you see anything in the cabin when all the lights are out. It's great! They're planning to replace these cabins with new ones (& hopefully, new beds) si it'll be even nicer when we return - & we will be returning. Loved the place and the town! Q!

A tourist town RV park. Priced a little high, but does have full hookups, a fishing pond, and right on Red River - a nicely stocked pond and river. A little rustic, does have an occasional bear pass through at night. Spaces a little small, but adequate. Mostly gravel. Some spots a little difficult to level, but all doable.

We stayed in a CABIN- RUSTIC is an understatement- really needs some updating- there were water spots in floor of bathroom - that sagged underfoot. In one room - a road sign covered up and obvious hole in the flooring- seemed like a major shortcut to repairing it *right* - but I am sure they did the best they could - the cabin is obviously very old - had an odd smell to it.. we were disappointed bathroom could NOT be aired out (WINDOW SEALED SHUT)- so it always felt musty. We tightened the door handle with our own screwdriver as multiple times door would NOT open easily- had to wrestle it each time. It felt as if it would break. Also spot sprayed WD 40 as every single door squeaked along with every step of the floor. We left the case of toilet paper and paper towels for the next guests as we were supplied all of ONE roll for 5 people and 4 days stay. I will say the shower was fairly clean - nice hot water and pressure was surprisingly strong! They had really nice new linens for each bed and towels - but towels were all shoved on one rack for all 5 of us? (in 3 bedroom cabin) We enjoyed being steps away from river and being able to fish pond and river- but we never caught a fish. Sadly though there were a number of dead fish in the stocked pond. Very nice RV park - our family that brought RVs said it was well laid out and each spot had water- clean restrooms etc. It was packed with RVs - not an open spot till our last day there- but it was still quiet and peaceful by 10 pm. No loud boisterous drunk parties- and they were very strict about all pets being leashed - so even though there were lots of dogs - we felt safe as we walked the property! We really enjoyed being near river and the views and wildlife and being close to town for the activities. I was slightly disappointed at the state of the cabin- especially for what we paid. Next time we will choose differently. We don't own an RV to take advantage of that option.

Beautiful property - well maintained grounds and clean bathrooms. Our campsite was right on the Red River with an awesome view of the mountains and pines. The staff was the best we’ve ever encountered! They were courteous and so eager to make sure you enjoyed your time there. There is a free shuttle that provides transportation to town and back. We highly recommend 4K and plan to go back as often as possible. The only reason I didn’t rate this a 5 star is that they don’t give military or senior discounts.

Sites are gravel, but ours was level. It was nice to have the sites where if you are camping with friends, your front doors face each other. It was a little crowded with not much room for parking. You can for your tow vehicle, but more than that is tight.Pond is catch and keep only, although with everyone fishing it, not many bites. Stream runs along edge of park.We did feed a deer out of our hands. That was really cool!! Would visit again.
