I live in Clovis nm I looked up to see if they had stroller wagons and it said they had two in stock so I drove all the way to Portales When I got there I went to the baby aisle to look for the wagon, of course and they had it as display but they didn’t have none so I asked for help and I asked if they had any in the back when she said they have two in stock, she was going to go look so she never came back so I looked for another worker finally found a worker said that was her department so I asked her about the wagon and she said that was the wrong price on it and I said OK that’s fine. I just wanna purchase the wagon so she went and got somebody else , her badge said coach then that coach looked on her scanner and said it says we have 2 let me go see what I can do I said okay thank you then the coach comes out with another lady looked like a manager she was manly short hair like a man and very rude she said we just got that new so we haven’t got any yet which is a lie because I’ve been eyeing it for about a year already she was just very rude about it so then I ask can I buy the display she looked at the coach and said no we can’t do that I said okay that fine then I hear the coach say she would rather put the wagon in the back, then sell it to me like really your going to lose out on 150 just because you want to be rude never again will I go back to portales NM Walmart again very rude and no customers!!!!!!!

I really don't enjoy coming here. It is always a hassle. People drive unsafe in the parking lot. The Isles are so crammed together, that whenever a family walks together side by side through the aisle I can't get through anywhere. I usually know exactly what I want, but it still takes forever to get out of here. There should really just be a 10 items or less lane. It seems like the little self check outs would be a no-brainer for this. But even still, there are people with huge carts going through the little self checkout anyway. If there were a better option, I would just go there.

After remodel of Portales store, Great Value products significantly decreased or eliminated. Canned soup, canned vegetables, canned beans, canned fruit, pasta sections, significantly reduced by 2/3 to 3/4 of what they used to be. Finding what you want takes much longer due to relocation; that's if you can find it, or if they carry it anymore. Cannot figure the purpose of the remodel except to put in shiny new shelves. My opinion of the new Walmart is definitely two thumbs down!

Deplorable customer support/service! Especially in the Money Center! DO NOT SEND MONEY TO A LOVED ONE TO THIS SITE! THEY WILL NOT RELEASE THE MONEY AND WILL CAUSE YOU ALL KINDS OF ISSUES EVEN AFTER YOU CALL CORPORATE! They apparently do not care what corporate says! This is my personal experience. I hope if you have no other choice you have better luck! I used Xoom/PayPal!

Very likeable people work at Walmart here in Portales, New Mexico and they are on point with their people skills. They value the social interaction that they have each and every day.

The staff is friendly, and the facility is clean. However, I've got to question why some of the items require me to get a staff member. Like some of the fingernail clippers, but not all fingernail clippers.

Although this Walmart Supercenter is smaller than most locations, it has all of the essentials. This particular store is much better than the Clovis Walmart as far as stocking is concerned. Even the employees have been friendly when I've interacted with them here. I'm sure I'll be back at some point soon.

This is a good Walmart most time for stuff with the best prices But today for some reason the customer service girl with the colorful hair was a A$$ she was looking for a reason to have a issue with me maybe it was that time of the month if so this is the worse time to have her at customer service

My friends and I are homeless, we were parked for a short period of time in the parking lot, yes seeking some help. But were trespassed by the police for "asking people in walmart for money" which is Totally false. All you have to do is look at the cameras. My friends did Not even enter walmart, only I did and most certainly did not ask for moey. Thank you Portales walmart for being so kind and compassionate to the less fortunate. I hope everyone who has no compassion on another human gets the same karma. TREAT OTHERS HOW YOU WOULD WANT TO BE TREATED!!!

Nasty as always. The rudest associates and managers I have ever encountered in my life. These people are so unprofessional it is scary. I was actually grabbed and assaulted by a power hungry extremely overweight door greeter. All because I was purchasing alchohol, that she said had to be scanned before I could leave. Get a clue people, violating rights and laws that are in place to protect us from evil like Walmart "greeters" is not ok. They should concentrate on how horribly nasty there store is, instead of implaciting everone as a shoplifter by scanning and checking your purchases. This is 100% illegal in many ways, and a violation of our constitutional rights. The funny part is, we all know it and so do they. This is what they leave out for us to see, and we are supposed to respect this establishment.

Coming along after fire not sure but I think it need airing out or change air filters still smell a little smoke. But everything moved when its completed I think I won't feel as claustrophobic. The registers are like lines going to carnival ride a but cramped. But give it time just glad they're back

I understand the need to be cautious when selling alcohol but requiring both my husband and my ID is ridiculous. Especially when we can go outside with our our purchases and he can return inside without me and buy it! What is that accomplishing other than inconveniencing the customer. Very poor customer service Walmart. We are obviously in our sixties too!?

I don't mind using self checkout because it literally isn't an inconvenience at all compared to what some people think. Overall, just a small and cramped store with the layout not rrslly making sense to me. Maybe it's because I'm used to bigger walmarts and went to bigger Walmart for 14 years, but so far its really my only option besides going to Clovis.

Since out walmart in my town was burned down this is the closest one. It's much smaller, having to keep up with 50-60 thousand people. They are doing their best given the circumstances

Called to confirm availability of a produce item before coming to a store that may be overwhelmed and consumed with fluctuation of consumers plus remodeling and asked to speak with the produce dept was placed on hold by the operator for sometime no one picked up time had lapsed heard of line being picked up and active once more then was hung up on so unfortunately sad especially for ones who no longer has access to the Walmart in Clovis for now! 😔

Our local Walmart caught on fire, so we had to travel the short drive to the next town. Although it's a smaller store and word is that our population overwhelmed the Portales Walmart, we still found what we needed.They're remodeling, so it's a bit of a mess to work your way through and figure out where some things are now, but it was still worth the trip.

Typical WM, staff friendly and helpful but had a few that blocked the aisles in small groups that were chatting and gossipping with each other (couldn't help but hear them). BEWARE of the bodywash aisle..lol. P.S..Walmart why did the shampoo get moved 5 aisles away to be next to the makeup aisle instead of by the rest of the body cleaning products?

A lot of changes since I was last there. A complete reset of the store. It seems like there are fewer checkers and more self checkout. Over all my experience went smoothly and I was in and out very fast.
