My wife and I shop here a lot for the veggies. A lot of things are a tad overpriced. I met my wife at the Farmers Market. So it's good memories. The deli has become a lot better. My wife said to say that the lady that used to work doing tortillas and bakery runs it and she does a great job! Hopefully, it's clean back there now if you know what I mean there were pests back there from 2020 to 2022 when my wife worked there. The deli guys used to bring a container of roaches and not the kind you smoke. The crawly ones. This is me the wife now 🤣🤣🤣 Big Roachas, The other manager kept it as clean as possible it wasn't her fault it was the boss man Martin's for not taking action. Well new manager and it seems to be getting better!!! I miss my old crew I think there is only 2 left of cashiers and of course the main Bonita and kind managers Eldali, Eleana , and Jasmine the best and all 3 have big hearts!! Just do your work and they are chill!! Toom Toom!! He is an amazing manager, very driven!!! He is an inspiration, I admire his work ethic and not giving up!! Love the guy!!

Sushi is super fresh and wonderfully tasty. *For those who don't know you can pay for the sushi with food stamps. I finally got to taste the ribs from the deli.. OMG they are very good and they rival any restaurant. Everyone was friendly as usual. Definitely worth the visit. A nice break from Walmart crowds.

We were in town for the Super Bowl 🏈 and see friends. We love the corn tortillas there and get red chili to take back to Colorado. People were great.

This building has been here for years, but don't let that keep you from catching some great deals! Store could use some updating however, I have to give a thumbs up to the butcher in the meat department. Great customer service. If it isn't on the shelf or the way id like it, they prepare it and bring it out to me as I request it. Produce selection is great. My produce is most of the time priced better at farmer's than Walmart. They have home like fresh tortillas made fresh everyday. Western union is available if needed. They used to offer copies but thier machine has been down for like 5 months already. They have a good Selection of liquors, beer, and wine. A bakery is available to order for events and they have a hot deli with delicious hot foods to choose from. Some cashiers or carry outs are snobby but I stick to the ones I know have better customer service skills a couple of them are happy to help and check you out energetically with a smile.

One of my favorite grocery stores in the world there is something about the tile in the store an how the store slopes up towards the cheese section that brightens my day each time I go in.

i love this grocery store! but lately its been sucking. went a few weeks ago and asked for a sample from the cold case. the lady proceeded to get the sample of what i asked for. some got on her glove while serving the sample. and the lady licked her glove and then gave us the sample. she then got another customer at the hot case and proceeded to get the customer fried chicken when the same gloves . how gross!!!!today i went here jus to grab a snack and the lady who checked me out i handed her my items to be rung up and she jus looked at me like i was dumb. like say something hello how are u. no instead she insisted on speaking to a customer behind me while still ringing up my items and talking about how she got fired from her last job. exactly you got friend cause obviously you have no customer service skills speaking to the customer behind the customer you are checking out

I like this little grocery store they have lots of different things I can't find at my regular stores. So in this day I was looking for several different types of HOT sauce for a friend's birthday and this little market had at least 15 sidebar ones including local ones. No I hate hot things but he was very pleased with the selection I picked up from this market. Now I do not buy meats from here they have no selection of meat and I find some prices a bit higher but if you are looking for something unique and local check this place out or just drop by to say you did!! 4 thumbs up from this Italian Girl!!

I went there at 7:45 pm and picked up hot food from the deli section. I got enough fried chicken and sides to last me for three days for $12 and change. Before they close the deli section at 8pm they will give deals if you ask, otherwise stuff gets thrown out.

Very clean I organized you can find whatever you're looking for right away if not you ask anybody and they will direct you or even take you to the item that you are looking for. The fruits and vegetables are always fresh if you can't find what you're looking for they can order it and get it within the next two to three days.

It's OK... FYI deli Mac and Cheese is from a bag, I believe the mashed potatoes are too! If you like junk food it's still a win with the deli. You can use food stamps on cold item deli products as well as the sushi bar. A lot of things are overpriced. Always check the expiration dates. You can find good deals on alcohol, you just have to look. Also, the produce is great. You can also find things here you cannot find anywhere else in Portales. Also nice staff. Another plus there are cashiers and baggers which are rare nowadays.

I love the variety of different and unique groceries. The meat market has good prices most of the time. Bummer the tortilla machine has been broken...now for about 7 months... I also appreciate the friendliness of the staff that work there.. and big liquor and beer selection...I am glad this store is open.....7 days a week.

This place is NM owned and the grocery products are great and produce is fresh without the guessing of ripeness with that big global corporate chain promising low prices. They may have some overpriced items but I bet if you ask and have a receipt they can match price. Almost all food distribution warehouse facilities will match their biggest contract prices with the family owned small chains like this one. The people are great here and they always help Carry your groceries like the store you remember as a kid going to! Thank you for being so great and not changing the memories of courtesy and friendly people that ask about your day like they knew you your whole life. Small Town feel is Worth a few dollars extra in my book. Hope you choose it like our family has

The food here is exceedingly expensive. Same cereals are marked 25% higher than walmart. Bruh, mark your brands, but common household items should be close in competition.Nevertheless, this review is to commend the pharmacist manager, Connor Dolittle.He is awesome and helpful. He promptly picks up the phone, answers questions and ensures we understand all medication. His humble approach touches my heart. This world needs more people like Connor, therefore, consider Portales blessed.

Grocery store has things you can't find at other stores. Very clean, has discount carts or racks in different departments, and not overly busy. We were really excited to see they have seafood product choices and that their liquor section is quite extensive. My cart was taken out to my car for me by an employee, so if that is important to you, they still do it at Farmer's Country Market.
