Really love this Dollar Store. Very good selection and helpful people. Just as of the last week, there is a terrible smell going on in the front entryway. I think it may be the front entry carpet, I was in this afternoon and the smell seemed to spread through the whole store it smelled of mildew or mold. My husband was concerned because he is sensitive to mold and had to leave the store. Other then that always a great experience at this store.

As far as dollar stores go, this is the best one in the area hands down. Better than Family Dollar and Dollar General. This is the most well stocked, organized, and CLEAN Dollar Tree I’ve ever been in. (And I’ve been in a lot of them all over the US, avid DT fan!) I can almost always find what I’m looking for whether it’s home, office, pantry items. Now obviously there are some specific items you won’t be able to find here but if you really look, this place has TONS of stuff you can’t get for a better price anywhere else. Some Dollar Tree stores look like a bomb went off (*cough* *cough* looking at you Clovis) but not this one. Immaculate.

Just to be honest and I don't like to lie the store could have used a little bit more cleaning. Especially with this Coronavirus going on. Other than that my experience today was really good. I went in there to go buy a bunch of stuff I needed for my house. Other than that I didn't have any problem at all.

Has neat things and I typically love shopping here.This last time I wasn't treated very well.I gathered my stuff, went to go pay, and couldn't find my card. I offered to put everything back immediately and apologized.The cashier was grouchy and told me not to in a rude tone.Edit: The last few years the service has continously gotten worse. The women are always rude.

This place is rather good! Stuff are cheap and good for those who don't have enough money. One thing is that maybe try and add stocking every morning. I was looking for a card of happy father's birthday and didn't find one. I didn't want to ask because myself am way to akward. It's my fault to for not asking but I'm just saying to problaly stock items in the morning. Rather than that everything is good!

They claim they “just had no time to check” to let me know if they sold an item there or not. It’s not the worst thing, although I have little kids to get in and out the car. I mean I wouldn’t have minded calling back later after they had time to look

Top notch and friendly staff. Store contains most everything a human needs to live, and more. Actually pretty well organized for their corporation. I visit frequently. And also, they don't lose their minds if you dont want to wear a mask. Which is a check in my box.

I enjoy it because you can get a coke and a candy bar for a snack for what either would cost somewhere else. Good place to pick up flashlight batteries also.A lot of fun for kids to shop with a dollar too.

Terrible experience the lady in charge today and the cashier there had a long unproffessional conversation about my husband falsely accusing him of stealing at the dollar tree what a joke. They openly admitted to profiling him in front of me i let them go on and on about him. Very unproffessional. And it was humiliating they went on and on in front of other customers also.

The Portales DollarTree has gotten so much better in terms of having things in stock and being neater. So many times in the past I felt I had to make the drive to Clovis to buy what I was looking for because the Portales location didn't have what I needed. I no longer feel I need to do that anymore.

Update: Management still as crabby as ever. Something to be said about her months of not able to fill employee positions. The manager needs to find a new career. She’s crabby and has a bad attitude.
