5 star service. I got there at 8:30. I was surprised when the doctor pulled out a paper filled with pit bull heads. After I pointed out a custom crop for my puppy. They told me be back at 10:30. It was other customers in for cat spaying and even a guy outside bringing in a horse. I left to get puppy stuff while in a city because I live far from pet shops. At check out, the pet shop asked which vet I went to. I said Caprock. They burst with joy screaming Caprock is the best. I smiled /shrugged. I went back around 11:00 and, sure thing the doctor had done exactly the best job on her ears. I asked if they had military discount, and the response… no, but they already have the lowest prices in town. It clearly shows Because the doctor has tons of experience. I would recommend Caprock to anybody.

They were very nice and courteous chin for me that my dog had bone cancer allowed me to bring him home for my younger children to say goodbye then bring him back to having put down so he wasn't in pain. Very nice and courteous all the way through.

All the staff was cool, and very nice. They removed a big mass off of My guy Toby "The Mayor Of All Dogs" They let me pay the majority and the rest in payments. We are now working on getting Toby's teeth cleaned and a few teeth pulled. No complaints. I wish they had a cheaper spay and neuter program. i really hate to drive to Texas to save a few hounded bucks. We have a spay n neuter problems here in Portales New Mexico. We need low cost spays, n neuters. Some Philanthropist should step in and work with the Veterinarian and help get our costs down, like vouchers or something. a affordable spay n neuter is $89-$180. Thank you Caprock! you all are great!!

Yes doctor is never there. When I asked receptionist how come doctor is not here whenever I come here? Receptionist got mad at me. Her place is in the mad house or jail. She has anger management problem and her self needs a doctor. She Stand front of me and pushed me she did fiscally abuse me. kicked me out, chased me outside the door. And told me I am not welcome there.

I'm posting this after my wife and I made the mistake of trying to take our animals there for a third time. I do not understand a veterinarian who is never in the office, but remains open?!? One occasion, we were asked to pay $350 and leave the animal, and when the vet arrives in a few hours they'll see if there's anything they can do. Of course we did not. On our last attempt to save our cat, the receptionist took my wife's asking why the doctor is never there very defensively even having the audacity to push my wife while expressing we are not welcome and they refuse service.

I had waited 2 hours to be seen, and literally all that got done was they looked at my pet for 1 minute and gave me antibiotics, and sent me on my way. My dad had waited an hour and a half for his pet and never got seen. This used to be THE place to have your pets seen, now very disappointing. I understand there's a sign saying "may experience long wait time," but everytime is ridiculous. Let alone no one should have to wait 2 hours to be seen.

NEW to NM, so no i dont have a regular Vet at the time been here 3 weeks. CAPROCK IS 100% GREAT , So after calling all the Veterinarians around Clovis , NO Vet in area would take him in an EMERGENCY SITUATION, said it'd be 2 WEEKS before he could be seen in a Emergency??? THIS PLACE seen him as soon as we could get from Dora to Portales!!! Right away ! No 2 week 😢 and wait to see if your pup baby die and an oh well from ALL Vets in Clovis !! 😡 THANK YOU CAPROCK VETERINARIAN CLINIC 💯💯💯💯❤️❤️❤️

You'll wait 2 hours for an appointment and with no instructions on what to do next for your pets when you leave. Wait 2 hours, 12 minutes of interaction with staff, full price paid. Go to Muleshoe for a vet. They have openings and you won't need to wait hours

This is a great place! The people are very kind and most helpful. I felt like my baby was(is) in good and trusted hands! We needed several issues addressed and not only were they taken care of but they were done with precision and speed. Fair and reasonable pricing as well! I cannot recommend Caprock enough! Very compassionate and Professional Care; 10/24/22 Still fantastic and friendly! Kudos to Soweka, the receptionist...there were 2 other pet owners who came in after me and I arrived right at lunch break. She helped me and the others keeping her professional and courtesy attitude. Dr. Bartlett brought the kitten to us back in 2006!

I never would have thought I'd be giving this review! In all honesty, I cringed at the thought of going to Caprock vet more than my pets! I hated dealing with the receptionist she was rude, incompassionate,and just mean. HOWEVER, they have a new lady there. I wish I could remember her name she's so pleasant and compassionate very lively! I've always loved the techs and the vet but had to go through reception before I could get near any of them, and again, after to pay the bill, it was gut-wrenching! Now, it's ALL been positive. Thank you for helping care of my pets! The Caprock crew is now A plus plus from receptionist to vet! And it's very appreciated!

Arrived in town less than two weeks and my cat was displaying behavior indicative of a bladder infection. Clovis vets were booked anywhere from a week to 3 weeks. Caprock took in Orphan as a drop-off and confirmed he had a full UTI and is now on antibiotics. I will go to Caprock for any of my vetinarian needs. The evening after I picked him up shown below.

They don't answer the phones there. I have been calling off and on for 10 days, showed the receptionist my phone logs and she said why couldn't you just come up here! Rude people, don't recommend at all

Aggressive receptionist, illegal refusal to release medical records, multiple owner went to different vets due to complaints and complications with surgery receptionist refuses to let anyone who calls speak to management or a Dr heard of 5 separate complaints from other vets that I called to fix their botched surgery for the safety of your pets NEVER bring them to Caprock what they are doing is illegal, they are unkind, and have no sympathy or empathy I have filed a complaint against them as has many dissatisfied owners.

This is a wonderful local vet. Staff is personable, passionate, and professional. As I'm from NJ pricing here is very reasonable compared to what I'm used to.Although not an emergency vet, was able to accommodate us for an emergency visit on a Sunday when needed.So happy I made the decision to start my pets care here at Caprock Veterinary with Dr. Bartlett and Team.

I have been in Portales for over five years now and my dog has had two fairly serious incidents that have occured while being here and being able to call and get an appointment scheduled and get my pup taken care of has been the best experience. It is hard to be the only vet serving our community but the vet here has done a great job making sure we are always taken care of. My dog recently had a large cut and got stiches and a drainage tube place by another vet in ABQ because I was out of town for the holidays and now that I am back in town I needed the drainage tubes removed and it would need to be by the 29th and the lady I spoke with on the phone was so kind and willing to help they were able to get me squeezed in and I am grateful for the staff and vet at Caprock!!

Had an emergency on new years eve with a cat in a ton of pain. Cat is now doing great and I am so thankful for their help on a holiday. And the bill in the end was much lower than I expected. Great service.

I HAD TO WAIT A FEW WEEKS TO BE ABLE TO EVEN POST THIS!!! PLZ READ!!!I took my 14-year-old shih Tzu here to be put to sleep. Whenever I tell you this is by far the worst experience I have ever had in my life! I have never been so offended hurt and disgusted! My pixie could not even breathe she had been in heart failure for over 24 hours whenever I called them crying begging them to please try to get her in everywhere else was a week out. When I get there the next day pixie and I had to wait over an hour and a half past our appointed time but that ain't the bad thing. The bad thing is the staff. The veterinarian there is the most uncaring woman I have ever been around. She never made eye contact with me the whole time never even really talk to me and to make things even worse, her aid lady was so rude slams the door so loud it scares my dog that already can't breathe and is there to be put to sleep she was the most rude girl ever. Please please take your animals anywhere else but here they do not love them. Some of the staff was great. But the vet having no bedside manner along with the chick with the long dark brownish hair , a lil thick not fat has a sour look to her. She's the worse. To think of the added extra stress my poor baby had to go through a long with not being able to breath, she was gasping for hours, they are disgusting people. I hope nothing good happens to that aid girl and that she will know the pain a felt that day and the fear Pixie had before she died!And thr weeks I've had to calm down. I pray the vet loses buise nss because ppl luv the animals enough to take them to someone that cares.

I asked to see a vet for my pet. Left on hold for over 20 minutes total. Tried to charge $300 deposit for getting my dog in tomorrow yet on Monday it’s $61. I said that doesn’t seem fair. They proceeded to tell me that dog parents that care don’t mind that. I said money talks and thats not ok for you guys to do that to worried pet parents. They hung up and won’t answer my call. If I could give zero stars I would. I have heard that Caprock was not a good place for pets and pet parents. Now I know first hand. Stay away stay away stay away!

The veterinarian loves my dog. The staff is mostly friendly and accommodating. There's sometimes a wait but some things, you can't control. Have been coming here for 2 years and love the service I get for my chocolate lab.

I believe that all animals are such a gift from God here on Earth.. I have been a proud 𝕻𝖎𝖙 𝖁𝖚𝖑𝖑 mom for over 13 years... Anyhow I recently adopted a new one from Caprock May of 2021.. A Veterinary experience I take very personally... My dogs are my children and from the moment that I adopted my new puppy Doctor Bartlett and every single one of her vet techs were absolutely amazing from the moment I took her home to the moment that I had her fixed and every vaccine in between..  I feel super blessed to have Caprock as my neighborhood veterinarian..

Kathryn is dismissive, burnt out, and doesn't have the knowledge or ability to treat anything bigger than kennel cough or the annual vaccination. Loving animals is one thing that she possesses. Reliability is not. You're better off finding another vet that's a bit more out of the way who will treat your furry baby with the utmost care and respect.

I have never met the veterinarian. At first it was because of covid. However, I have had a few appointments after that that should have allowed me to meet and speak with the vet. Only people I have ever met and spoken to are the techs and the receptionist.
