We happen to find this cute little zoo/ ranch on our way to Arizona. This is a diamond in New Mexico. Their little stand has all homemade jellies honeys. What can I say about this place? It is a true find and treasure, especially for families. What I liked about this place most is that they allow you to trout fish and you don't have to have a license. The kids can come and look at all the animals and walk around the ponds which are absolutely beautiful. The people are just so nice Pam. I got to meet her and her lovely daughter and husband. This truly is just a cute family I understand. Just trying to bring joy to everybody else. Do yourself a favor come on by and support this local family and ranch. I will definitely be coming back through! And what can I say about that amazing cherry cider? Get a dozen of them. It's worth it.

Sweet stop! A farm stand with local and homemade goodies alongside national brand snacks and beverages. Some gifts and toys to purchase to help occupy the kids on a long car ride. A variety of animals to view and interact with and friendly folks to chat with. Small but clean bathrooms by the camels were worth the snack purchase to support the local small business. Way better than any gas station rest stop for sure!

Great place to stop and stretch when passing through the area. Lots of homemade canned goodies to sift through. Good old fashioned friendly country folks. Perfect place to stop and stretch for a bit while transiting over the mountain. Two 👍 up!

It's simple but sweet. The trout look so pretty in the ponds, and feeding them is a fun frenzy!!! Unfortunately, the other animals can't be out like they used to be, but oh well!!! They had sooo many new baby animals it was the cutest!! I had the best stop right before our stop in Cloudcroft for lunch. Show Runyan Ranch some love and enjoy the smile!!

Came here with my sister and her family (they recommended this as a great place for us to spend time). Had a blast ! They have Goats to feed, a Zebra, even rainbow trout! Prices are very reasonable too for the feed bag. Shop has all local stuff and the staff are very friendly. Very nice place to sit down and relax too. Right off the US 82 highway between Artesia and Cloudcroft. Very responsive on the phone + Google Maps messaging.

Very fun place to stop and take a break for the whole family. You can see the camels and many other farm animals. The gentleman there was fun to chat with.

While driving through New Mexico we came across this small petting zoo along the side of the road. The whole family had a blast petting and feeding the animals. The selection of animals was quite larger than just the expected goats! There is a small gift shop with food goodies and souvenirs. Definitely a great little stop along the road trip! The animals were all just too sweet and adorable!

Cherry cider is excellent. I didn't have room on my motorcycle to take much but if I had been in a car I would have purchased two gallons. Some of the Blackberry creations available looked delicious, but again...I didn't have room to carry them. I'll be bavk someday with a car.

This is a very friendly little oasis with some nice stuff to buy, and the restroom is clean. The animals are fun to see. :-) I make a point of stopping here when taking this route.

Delicious Cherry cider. Lots of interesting things in the store. I didn't have storage room on my motorcycle to carry off all that I wanted to purchase.

Great customer service and the animals are to die for! Some are a bit pushy but all in all cute as can be! It is rustic looking so expect to watch where you step! (Bring old shoes like we did) it’s entrance is donations but you do have to pay for the animal feed as well as the fish feed. Great little store filled with trinkets and delicious preserves and sauces! I personally love their apple cider! They also have cherry and raspberry if desired. It is in the middleman of nowhere but the scenery was worth it! 2 and a half hour drive from Las Cruces, NM. (132 miles) Great place for the family! Get ready to see goats, sheep, a camel, horses, pigs, water buffalo, llamas, alpaca, donkeys, mini horses, geese, and fish. ( and many more that it will take forever to write) Also you can fish without a license but rent the poles. If you have any questions they are prompt to answer on their Facebook page!

Very cute spot. It is fun to feed the animals, and the little pond with fish is neat. The shop keepers are always super friendly. Great spot for a last minute potty break. Its a tiny restroom but clean.

I'm not a fan of places with animals kept in captivity, however, this place surprised me.. It's a sanctuary of sorts, and the animals are well kept! I spoke to the caretakers, very nice people who truly care about these animals. Some they rescued and bottle fed, others where given to them by others who didn't know what to do with them.. It's a hidden wonder.

Such a great place to stop for kids. Tom is very friendly. Fish and ducks are great to feed. The kids use to love feeding the goats but thanks to this horrible administration that’s no longer the case. It’s sad they are hurting small local petting zoos and farms. We still had a great time!

The owner was very friendly. There is a stand to buy local food items, ice cream & also different animals to see: goats, a miniature cow, camel, chickens, swans, ducks & geese. There's a pond where you can fish for rainbow trout.

What a great little roadside attraction the big seller is the petting zoo for 2$ you can get a bag of feed and enter the petting zoo and be up close and personal with all the animals, horses, ponies, goats, sheep, llamas, pigs, various birds etc very cute and friendly, Staff were kind and they accept credit cards as well as cash! Well worth the stop and the kids will love it!

This was the best little hidden gem we found on our road trip! The apple cider was delicious! The pickle was the biggest and juiciest pickle I ever had. And the bathroom area had the best surprise ever! ANIMALS!!!! It made me so unbelievably happy to stumble upon this on my birthday trip!

What a great surprise on the 85! It's a great drive especially in the fall. This was one of the few places with a bathroom, but they have so much more! Stock up on snacks and drinks while checking out the goats, kangaroo, camel, zebra, and more! A great petting zoo for all ages

Do not pass this place up! We have been coming here for 4 years now even just to make a day trip out and fish and sit and enjoy the environment. The owner always recognizes our family and is very delightful. We love each and every one of the animals and being able to feed them and interact so close is outstanding and memorable for our kids.

Absolutely in love with this place! Wasn't a stop on our roadtrip but I just so happened to need to use the restroom and we saw the signs to pull over for clean restrooms. This place does not disappoint at all. It's so surreal. As a person of color I'm wary of the places I visit but there was no need to worry here. Everyone had big smiles and were so friendly! They have many local goodies like salsa, brittle, syrups, and snacks. Me and my bestfriend got the Green Chile brittle and the chimango slices and they were absolutely delicious. As a customer you have access to a part of their ranch where they have free roam ponies (great for kids). The sights are unbelievably gorgeous. It's a must stop!

Totally worth a stop. We happened upon this place when we were just looking for a toilet and maybe a place to get a magnet on our road trip across the US and it was one of my favorite stops. To go to the bathroom you actually go inside the pasture with the animals.

First time going here after hearing about and reading reviews. My little one had a blast. Worth the drive up the mountain to get out of the city for a bit. Will be heading back. ❤ the little shop that they have set up with local goodies in stock. The gentleman there was very friendly.

Wonderful stop!!! Completely surprised by the mix of animals there: a zebra, a small bison, and a capybara were just a few of the lovelie that we saw and got to feed. It was a welcome stop on our trip.

I love this place. We stop by any time we're in the area. It was sad to learn they had to get rid of some of their animals due to Biden being an idiot but, there were still some animals there.

It was fun to see all the various types of jams & jellies. The animals were cute but need a lit mire care. The people were friendly & helpful but not in truisive. Bought some silver & copper bracelets. Nice

Runyan Ranches was a great stop on our way through the woods. The family loved all the animals, and it was a very relaxed place. There's food available for the fish and the animals.
