It's a good place to buy bulk tobacco and cigarette tubes as well as random foodstuff and items. Great for seasonal decorations though. Also has a reasonable makeup section.

My experience at the family Dollar store on Thorpe in the town of Dona Ana New Mexico, was magnificent. All the employees there are so friendly so kind so helpful it was a pleasure being there in that store. The store is kept immaculate clean and order shelves stocked what can I say more about that store is that I would go to that store to do my shopping any day and I'm sure anybody else would say the same thing . Management there she is wonderful she's kind to her staff and she's so kind to the customers. All the employees there are so kind just like the management. I would not choose any other place to do my shopping. I thank you management and employees for your kindness and your help. They are so kind that they even help me take my groceries to the car since I hurt my back they were just absolutely wonderful they did not hesitate one bit to me means a lot. Whoever the trashy manager is there accused my husband of stealing when he hadn't even been in the store, he was with our kids in the car. Standing at the door, staring us down like she was intimidating or something. They are now refusing to answer the phone. I'll be calling and making a complaint to corporate tomorrow.

Staff and management are always helpful and nice. Almost always greet you with a Hello when you walk in. Ofcourse nobody is perfect but after shopping there since they opened, I dont remember the last time I had bad service or,issues there. I go there on a regular and recommened them. ☺

I and my wife love to shop at any family Dollar when money is tight at the middle of the month. Family Dollar has dish wear that is not half bad!
