i bought my cat moya here and i plan to buy another here. The dog food is great too and so are the workers. I just wished the store didnt close at 6 pm.. my parents usually get out of work at 5-6 pm and we live a little bit far so driving their takes most time up. I feel 7 or 6:40 pm would be better for people but its fine :)

I’m currently traveling the country in an RV with 2 cats and this store was truly an amazing find! It can be really difficult to find quality food for our pets on the road and this store had a really great selection of brands to choose from, great customer service too. I highly recommend!

We use Better Life for our dog food. We really love the do it yourself dog wash! Point system for frequent shoppers is awesome and we frequently use our points for free dog washes and discounts on large purchases

I love better life! Everyone is so kind you can tell they are true animal lovers. First and last place I've had my little girl groomed. They are so sweet to her, they we're truly conserned when we missed a grooming due to a health emergency. I recommend BETTER LIFE to anyone that will listen.

This pet store is a gem. Courteous and knowledgeable staff is a joy to work with. With my background in economics I know spending your money at locally owned businesses is a boost to our economy as opposed to stockholders who do not turn around and spend their money here. We have had two horrible experiences as being loyal customers for two years we are taking our business elsewhere. Once our puppy’s paw was cut during grooming. She came out in a bandage with a cut on her paw that would not clot. The final straw is that we had a grooming appointment cancelled the day before our appointment. We have to book appointments a year out which is absolutely ridiculous for dog grooming, and we keep our commitment to the appointment, which by the way, is impossible to reschedule, but Better Life doesn’t provide a reciprocal commitment to their customers. It will be simpler to buy our food online and better to work with a more affordable and flexible groomer who values loyal customers.

Better Life Pet Foods has a great selection and friendly staff. Their foods are a bit pricey, but our older dog, that had quit eating other foods, started eating this and regained her healthy look. We're very happy.

Thoughtful and attentive grooming services for our German Shepherd-mix of brush out, feet trim, and hindquarters trim. I know he feels better and he's really "fluffy" (he doesn't mind) LOL. Thank you to the great groomers and staff. It all makes a difference.

I’m all for supporting local businesses and for that reason I’ve been going to better life pet foods. Employees have been great until this last visit. An associate from groom really left a bitter taste in my mouth. She had me clean up pee that she stated was from my dog but was nearly dry on the floor and I had been there for no longer than 2 minutes. On top of that my dog was suddenly startled and she was treating him in a way that I did not appreciate and I know no dog owner would. Would visit this local store almost weekly but now going to be using online services instead and vet for nail trims if need be.

Been here a few times to the self wash station for my little dog. Today I decided to go and get my his nails trimmed there. I understand dogs could be hard to handle especially when trimming their nails. But the response from the groomer was disgusting. She was yelling and screaming at my dog. I could hear her as for everyone else in the building. Disappointing that she decided to treat my animal this way. Will never come back here. Especially after she raised her voice at me saying “ I should’ve told her she needed 2 groomers to help with the job”.Absolutely zero professionalism in this building. And seems from past reviews this wasn’t the first time she’s acted this way towards the customers and their animals.

I love this store for many reasons...the staff is incredibly knowledgeable about their products and services. I was impressed when I asked about the difference or the pros/cons of a product and they gave truthful answers. Another positive about Better Life is the customer service and friendliness. They always greet me with a great attitude and demeanor. The last thing I will say, it's a small business that is everything I wanted and need in a pet store.

My dogs needed their nails trimmed again. I have tried doing myself, but my husband's health is still that he can't help. My knee is still recovering from surgery. Girl at front very friendly and helped me get my 3yr. pup and 10 yr old, who suffers from arthritis in back leg. They had no trouble going to the back. Than as they took my dogs to the back, my 10 yr old sat down,,....as the groomer proceeded to drag her to get her in the back. I did not find that professional, or kind. I tried helping get my girl's back end up so she would walk, difficult one handed, while my other hand held my cane. There is a handle on the dog's harness to help move a dog. ... In the back, I heard my other dog yelp. . Must have a new groomer. Nails not done as well. Than they rushed my dogs out quickly to put into the hot car, as I went inside to pay.. I know you are busy. Maybe you should make appointments for nail trims so you don't have to rush and drag dogs with health issues.Disabled, and older people need help to care for their pets. We need help. We depend on professionals to help and treat our pets with care. Very disappointed today.The following was my last review from several months ago. I gave 5 stars. Things have changed.Between my husband's and my health issues, we can't trim our 2 pups nails now. The groomers did great job. Especially on our Quigley, who wiggles. He can now sneak up on me, I don't hear his nails on the floor. Thank you. Would love to send photo. He even loves his paws.

I went in to trim my dogs nails. The first red flag in my experience was the extremely poor customer service. When I first walked in the door I was politely greeted by the front desk and I move forward towards the grooming desk I was not greeted the same. In fact I could tell just by the groomers face that I would not have a good experience and I should have trusted that initial instinct. I was not greeted AT ALL when I approached the groomer desk. Someone from the front of the store came up and said hello to my dog and then me and asked the woman that DIDNT EVEN ACKNOWLEDGE MY EXSISTANCE if there was any other groomers available and apparently she had an attitude because she was trying to leave home as soon as she could to go home to her kid which I understand but as far as I'm concerned as long as you're clocked in you're there to do your job and not make people feel unwelcome uncomfortable or even rushed. All i asked for was a simple nail trimming no file or drilling or anything crazy just a simple nail trim. This woman with a terrible attitude tried to play nice and took my dog to the back and in the middle of trimming his nails she cut 2 of his nails to short causing him to bleed there at the store and when i brought him back home. Now i understand mistakes like this are common but the factors leading up to my dog having a terrible experience was simply because this specific dog groomer had a bad attitude and was in a hurry to clock out and go home. I would have rather waited an extra 20-30 min. I would have came back later if I had to just so that my dog doesn't walk out those doors in pain. And as I was at the front desk paying I see this woman grab all her things she put her head down to avoid me and walked out the door with no concern for my animal. Not sure if there will be a next time but next time i get my dogs nails trimmed in general I will trust my intuition and if the groomer can't pass the the vibe check then they will not be allowed to even touch my dog. Make sure your groomers and employees all together leave their personal problems at the door before they handle and mistreat innocent animals. Absolutely ridiculous that my dog was hurt because someone was careless and in a hurry to leave. And if I go back and see this person there will be problems.

I love this store! The staff is super friendly and helpful. I buy my dog's food here, and I also use their DIY dog wash which is really great. I love that there are usually doggies hanging out at the store 😀 I would definitely recommend this place for your pet needs

I went here looking for fish and found a very knowledgeable staff member to help me out. They have a small selection of fish but you can tell they are healthier than most pet stores and they offer some variety compared to big box pet stores. If they sold a wider variety of food for pets I would shop here for them. My daughter has Guinea pigs but as far as I know they only sell dog and cat foods. Still a great place to check out though.

The staff member in charge of the grooming section, horrible attitude. I was a customer, a very loyal one at that. When your having a rough day please do not take it out on your customers. Instead of trying to reach out and keep two loyal customers you just dismiss us as " not a customer". I'm updating my review after reading other reviews about the grooming staff. I believe that some others have experienced bad service but did not put a review online. My fiancee went in to get our cat groomed and was blatantly disrespected. Also Bethany telling her that groomers in El Paso kill animals, wow what a class act!
