The staff are always super polite and very helpful when I have any questions or concerns about my pet Hedgehog which I also purchased from them. I have had my pet Hedgehog for almost a year now and he is just as healthy as the day I took him home.Couldn't recommend a better pet store!

Great little pet store. They have a very efficient use of space. We’ve only bought fish, shrimp and snails there. Fun to see all the options of pets. Staff is kind. Pricing is really good here too 😊👍

Best pet store in Hobbs NM... Love this placeI got both of my fur babes (bunnies) from here my girls adore them.. They have many many other animals to choose to your liking if your looking don't hesitate to check them out. Owner and staff are amazing very friendly.. They are very good at answering all the questions we've asked.. Thank ya'll soooo much.

Acosta's is a great place to shop if you are looking for small pets and exotic pets. I was in there about 4 weeks ago looking at some rabbits. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. Had the cutest selection of small and mid sized rabbits. Makes me want one :) If I ever do get a rabbit, it will be from Acosta's.

One of the cleanest well organized and stocked pet stores anywhere.Animals and reptiles are healthy and look great .They have fish birds ,reptiles and a good selection of rodents .Stuff was helpful.

This place is not about the well being of your pets it's purely just for sales. Anyone that genuinely cares about their animals will do even the tiniest bit of research and find that the cages and wheels he sells for guinea pigs, hamsters, rabbits, other small animals are not even safe or the right size. Just because hamsters are small doesn't mean they can comfortable live and thrive in ones of those tiny plastic cages. The wheels have gaps that trap toes and tear off toenails. Seriously this place is a joke and anyone saying otherwise is just ignorant and thinks because it's the only petstore in Hobbs must make it a good place.

How can I say with words how amazing this shop is?? The animals are all so well cared for and cages are clean! The staff was SO FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL beyond what any words can describe! My daughter is delighted with her new hamster and we will definetly be back for all our hamster needs!Thank you all so much!

Robert knows his stuff. He is by far the best pet store owner in the nation. He can help you with any issue you have. His animals are well taken care of. I use to have 3 Columbian red tails, 2 collared llizards, 4 bearded dragons and an albino king snake and they all came from Acostas. If they got sick he knew what to do. He's a damned good guy.

The guy that runs the place doesn't know anything about animals. I was talking to him about sugar gliders and he said "all sugar gliders have horrible diarrhea because of their diets" which is not true at all. You can easily look that up and see it's false. They also price gouge. 8 dollars for one crawler rat???? No way!!

Family owned and operated. Always courteous and helpful and fast, very knowledgeable on pets of all kinds. Great with aquariums and salt water too. Great selection of everything, bunnies, ferrets, lizards, snakes, spiders, fish sea creatures, birds and setups and decor and supplies. Prices are good and always fair. Clean inside and supports local community works. Special orders available. ALWAYS MY FAVORITE GO TO, WON'T SHOP ANYWHERE ELSE.

Robert and his family have a delightful little shop full of healthy, happy animals and fish, plus any advice you need to go with anything you decide to take home! I've been shopping here for at least 10 years, if not longer, and have never had a bad experience. If you're starting from scratch or have had tanks for years, this is the place to go for both fresh and saltwater needs. They carry fish, guinea pigs, ferrets, bunnies, reptiles, birds, and even those 8 legged creatures that my child is so fond of, which I fear he is eventually going to want to take home... and if they don't have what you want, they can probably get it for you. I highly recommend them! Parking is easy, prices reasonable, always something on sale, go check them out!

WARNING!!! Talk about price gouging!!!! Came to Hobbs to visit family. We went to this pet supply store. Some of these prices are ridiculous!!! Im not saying give your products away, but don't rob your fellow townfolk. They are taking advantage of this small town. Big pet supply store needed here immediately. At least they wont price gouge. Huge difference in prices.!

I appreciate acostas when i have a pet I use them for a majority of my needs they havenet changed since the last time I owned a pet, they have a wonderful variety of tanks, pets to be kept in the tanks and a wonderful assortment of fish. If you are looking for any kind of snake or bug of any type definately check these guys out.

Never open and doesn’t have the size of rats needed to feed their own exotic animals to feed expects the customer to feed a ball python 2 to 3 mice which is not healthy for the snakes charges higher rates for a basic ball python which you can get from a breeder at 60.00 and the snake I got from them was malnourished

I bought like 70 dollars worth of product from him and literally all of the fish I bought died except for one and I have a fungal infection in my tank going on now and never had problems with anything like that before... :/
