After reading so many good reviews we decided to give this place a try. We each had a burrito and although the tortilla shell was very good, the burrito was just overstuffed with meat. Sauce was very little and no sense of sour cream or guac inside the burrito. Nice folks run the place and the tables were clean and the place is nicely decorated. One other fact that lowers my rating is the lack of an indoor rest room. A large portable potty outside is all that is available.

Stopped here on my way to Lordsburg NM for work. Order a quesadilla with Al Pastor (pork) and large agua de melon ( cantaloupe drink). The quesadillas was very good. It was loaded with cheese and meat and was very tasty and crispy. It was served with sour scream, aguacate sauce, and a red salsa that had a little kick to it and made my lips have some burning feeling afterwards. The agua fresca was good as well. Definitely recommend a stop here on your way through. Next time I want to try the tacos and a burger! 🤤

Amazing tacos 🌮 al pastor. I was driving to El Paso from Albuquerque, and I needed to stop somewhere to have dinner. I found this place through Google maps and don’t let the rural roads fool you. It directed me to a private patio and it feels like you’re eating in someone else’s home. Great variety of tacos and friendly service. Will come back with my family if I drive around Hatch! Please support this family-owned business.

we stopped on out way to truth or consequences.. quick, friendly service and AMAZING DELICIOUS food.. we had the quesadilla and the burritos.. the salsa was The Bomb!! don't miss this stop!!!Parking: on the highway.. dont miss it

This is quite literally the best quesadilla I've ever had. I got the carne asada with a side of chips and salsa and a horchata. My only regret is not remembering to ask if they also had green sauce to try, because I don't know how Iong it will be til I get back to Hatch. Do yourself a favor and go here so you can join me in this wonderful food coma.

We stopped by because sparks had a line out the door but to say it was basic is an understatement. Tacos was only meat and tortillas with a bit of onion and cilantro. Had to ask for pico de gallo. Nothing special but expensive for 4 of them$11. No prices on the board. Definitely overrated!

We stopped here on the way to Deming as it was the only place in Hatch that didn't close at 3pm (weird!!). We don't usually eat meat, but aren't staunch vegetarians, esp. when traveling. However, this place is mostly red meat, no poultry. The woman was kind enough to make us veggie nachos and cheese quesadillas (a lake of cheese!), I asked if they had beans to see if she would make us tacos and she said no, but they were on the nachos. Maybe she misunderstood. They also have papas (potatoes). If you are hard core vegetarian this is not the place for you. The food was just food, nothing special, maybe the meat dishes are better. The horchata was ok and came in a huge container. It was clean enough/there's a port a potty with no place to wash hands. Food comes in styrofoam or plastic, even if you dine there. Next time through we'll try to make it earlier to eat somewhere else, but we were grateful that she made us something to eat and to have food at all!

Seriously incredible burgers, tacos and hot dogs. There weren't a lot of places open in Hatch at the time of day we needed to eat, but thank goodness for Pepe's. And we were really in luck because the food was amazing. Honestly, one of the best burgers I've ever had. Will happily stop again next time I'm in the Hatch area.Parking: Dirt lot, easy parking, open space, plenty of open lot space to parkKid-friendliness: A lot of options for kids, ice cream as well, hot dogs, etc.

Same scenario as others...passing through in motorhome. Original destination was Sparky's but they and everyone else in town was closed on Wednesday. What a great thing that was. You won't meet a more personable family and the food was 5 star. The "hatch burger" was everything I imagined plus a whole lot more. Well worth the stop. The kitchen was hospital clean.

Got in town about 8 pm on weekday. Only place open and so went there. Got the street tacos. Best pork tacos I’ve ever had. If your in hatch, NM they are a must. Won’t be sorry
