Great chiles, super folks, fair prices. Bought 20lb of the xtra hot & they were xtra hot & wonderful. Can’t go wrong here. Again, the folks working here are great.We’ll definitely be back!Pro reminder from my husband who is a long time chile gardener: Chiles have a goodly amount of natural variation in spiciness. Growers/roasters can’t guarantee heat levels, it’s how it goes with a plant product. They supply chiles that usually have a specific heat level. Key word: usually. So don’t roast the roasters if the spice level ain’t on point. They do their best.

Please DO NOT BUY chilies from Hatch Chili sales. I wanted Big Jim's but was sold mild. No heat. Please do yourself a favor and bypass this establishment. I will never buy from these guys.

I purchased 40 lbs of Chile. I expedited the shipping paying the extra cost because it was going to PA. I mixed up the address’ and sent it to Albuquerque. It should have only taken at the most 2 days. It took at least 4. When I got the Chile most of it was rotten. Goodness knows how it would have arrived in PA. It’s the first time and last time I order from this business and I won’t be recommending anyone either. Only a refund on 10 lbs. The stems of the Chile were soggy. 🤢

Friendly follks who were very helpful to my family in making our choices! The roasted chiles we brought home are delicious, along with the nuts and seasonings.They are great advocates for nearby (as well as area) businesses.The restaurant recommendation was spot-on. We enjoyed a wonderful meal.

UPDATE ON 9/8/21: I just re-visited the same store again with the same friendly, hard working owners. Please support the store and buy some of their great products. They had an unfortunate fire in the interior part of their store a few years ago and are still recovering. They also lost their pet bird in that fire, who I had "met" years ago. They're operating out of the exterior part of the store. Give them some special love.// I found this place on Hall Street and the store folks were so friendly. The chillies and spices are so reasonable and fresh. Get yourself down there and buy some. Makes great gifts too.

Friendliest of people, I ONLY do my Hatch Chile business with these fine people since 1999/2000 when I would buy Chile from the wonderful grandmother that lived there. I remember one day I asked her how to prepare the dried chipotle peppers. She went into her home and brought out a bowl of salsa that she had made along with some chips for me to try. Her passion and love for Chile overflows in her son that owns and operates the store today. I highly recommend them!

Going through town yesterday I bought a 20 lb. sack of Hatch chili’s. First, the guy that helped me was so very nice and knowledgeable. The chili’s are very good, and I’m sure there is more than 20 lbs in the sack. Good value for your money. Also bought 10 lbs of pintos. Great place to buy chili’s.

Picked this place based on reviews and they were right. The owner is very friendly and helpful. Lots of dried and powdered chillies. We were here in the "off" season but he had 5# blocks of frozen roasted, skinned, and diced green chillies. Very happy with our purchases and the shop.

Very nice owners and fantastic value for money. We could 40 lbs of green chili’s for $20.After we got home we had so many chili’s that’s we had an operation to package into smaller bags and freeze them. It was difficult trying to find freezer space for 40 lbs of roasted chili’s

Just stopped and found a bag of Green Chile powder; we've been looking for this for months. We bought a 1# bag for $7.00. This is after buying 4 bottles .5 oz for $5.00 each at the grocery store. He has so many spices and dried chile's. He roasted us a half bushel in no time. Great service and very friendly. I'd stop again.

Just a small store in a small town......Not Really. I head through Hatch on my way to Arizona each year, and I always stop here to get my chile peppers.Pete is great! He always remembers the wife and I, always asks about the family, he's just an all around great guy.Not being from the area, I can't comment on the value versus other stores. I can tell you that I get burlap bags of peppers, twenty pound bags of beans, and loads of dried seasonings, without spending a lot. All of the ingredients that I use but can't find at home.On another note; at one point when I ran out of peppers, Pete shipped them to me, in Louisville, KY. That is TRUE customer service!

On September 17th, we bought 40 lbs of XHot roasted green chiles. We have tried over 30 chiles and we are very disappointed. They are mild.

Stopped in multiple times over the last 15 years or so. The best place to buy chiles and chile powder in the US, period! It's always quick to part, get in and out, and get help. Also, the best deal ever on the freshest chile powder.

We were quoted a price but after leaving our receipt was sent my text because we paid with card, only to find out we were over charged. I speak Spanish so there was no language barrier. We were quoted multiple times at the same price but ended up getting overcharged. Won't be stopping there again.
