When we pulled up, they were unloading a fresh batch of long green chilies. It smelled so good! The owner, Gerald Pino, gave us a couple of different chilies to taste 😋 We bought a huge bag for $40. We also bought jarred salsa, and powdered green chili. Super nice people...explaining everything about the different kinds of peppers. They have a restroom for customers too. They are the first place right off the hwy 25 in Hatch NM.

I have never bought chile that was such high quality. It was Roasted, peeled and power washed and it was beautiful! Bright green and meaty. The owners and staff went above and beyond. They were so friendly and down to earth. I will buy my chile from them from now on!

This place was amazing, we stopped by just to check on our tie downs, helping a friend get his bike home an the owner that lives in albequrque was actually there an his nephew was working on adding new lights. If you want THE BEST customer service with THE BEST home made green Chile an home grown green chile an red chile and sauces whatever your desires are for spices ITS A MUST YOU HAVE TO STOP BY!! They are super kind and sweet wholesome folks. They gave us a free jar of their homemade salsa for my husbands service, and our friend served as well, and he got one too. If i could give 100 stars this would be the place to give them too. There are people i would invite for a huge bbq or a family dinner. Thats the feels an vibes i get from here so def stop by if your in town, and tellm twisted sister sent ya.

Grreat place to stop for any Chile lover! This family run business has a variety of products all Hatch Chile- salsas, sauces, and "ristas." Gerald was kind enough to take time to explain the ristas and variety of Chile sauces. The store was bright full of inviting displays. Lots of parking, right off the highway.

It's Fall and you are probably relishing Pumpkin Spice Lattes. But if you are in New Mexico you can't wait for the green chili harvest. The place to go for green chili's is Gilly's which is the first stop or your way to Hatch. You can smell the chili's roasting when you park your car. Bring a cooler so you can load up on a year's worth of green chili's. Billy roast the chili right there for you and uses a pressure sprayer to remove the skins. Can't wait to make Green Chili Stew.

We were as at Gilly's last week and bought some beans and bags of spices. The people were super friendly, products reasonably priced, and our car smelled of spices all the way back to Apache Junction. Well, definitely stop in again when we're down that way next year.

This is the greatest place, and just off of the interstate. A husband/wife team run the place, and if I can recall, their names were Jesus & Maria. It's a great place with all sorts of Hatch green chile from roasted to powder, and on beyond to other green chile condoments. Wonderful little stop. Wonderful people.

Awesome visit to hatch. Great deal on roasted clean chile. Cruising and seeing some awesome sights from memeory lane. Take time to make the memories and taking the pics. We enjoyed our visit. Dont forget the water at gilleys its a ling ride back home.

Stop by today. This is the only place that we buy chilies from in Hatch. They were doing the green chili roasting, and it smelled incredible. We are taking a bunch back to Tucson for everybody there.The owner was there. And he actually was the one that helped us. And then gave us a bunch of free jalapeños and yellow peppers.These people always go above and beyond to make you feel like friends and family. We even got hugs as we left. I would encourage anybody to go to this place. Above and beyond chilies, they had jalapeños, onions, and tons of sauces and spices.We will continue to support these people forever!

On a cross country road trip and this was my favorite stop in alll of New Mexico! Thee absolute kindest and most genuine people, everybody was so welcoming it felt like I was seeing long lost friends. I don't even like watermelon (it's a texture issue) but their watermelon was so sweet and not gritty at all, the salsa are all outstanding we bought several to travel with and we got to see them roast jalapeños they had just got brought in off the farm and it was so cool to see and be a part of the experience. Like others said, I would give 100 stars if I could, outstanding service, people and peppers

Gerald is a talented and enthusiastic chile connoisseur. his homemade strawberry jalapeño jelly is excellent! the awesome smell of chile is overwhelming when you walk in. i will be back in one week for more jelly and this time i'm getting the green chile jelly. pls have in stock. the fresh green chile in the freezer is something i will need also.

GREEN CHILI SALSA! Probably my favorite canned salsa that I've ever gotten.So good. We got a jar of both medium and hot. The hot is really spicy, but still has amazing flavor. Utah friends could not handle the hot :O This salsa is so great on tacos and food, it's not my first pick for simply dipping chips.We got a few dried peppers too, after loading up at another store in Hatch, too.Cash only!

Does NOT GET BETTER. Gillys chile has been a staple for so many years. They always have great variety, and quality. We end up with extras as well, like tomatoes and watermelons. We got Big Jim and Sandia this time. They will, for an extra charge, bag it for you but the best thing is that they always peel it for you. I'll go as long as they are still roasting.

Born and raised in New Mexico, there are so many choices. My husband travels and has been picking up red pods for me the past year. The red chile is absolutely delicious.For this year's chile season, we requested Autumn roast. A mix of green and red as the season changes. The chile has the best taste. I am 100% satisfied. In addition, the owner went out of his way to ensure he had the chile we requested. Hands down the best!!

Love this family. Got a 10 pound sack of dried red chilies for $20. Sorry but the chipotles are only as available after harvest. This stop is right off of the I25. Highly recommend it.

Loved it here, so glad my dad and I stopped at Gilly’s while going through Hatch! When we stopped by, there was an older, very kind Hispanic lady who helped us out. My Spanish is horrible, but I got my point across and left with a gallon bag of frozen & peeled chili’s, a gorgeous bunch of hanging red chilis, a bag of chili powder and a jar each of green and red salsa. They need a website so I can reorder some more! I have to admit, the green salsa is a bit hotter than I planned (medium). Next time I’ll have to tone it down and try the mild salsa. Everything I bought is sooo good! I’ll be back next year.

The BEST place in Hatch to buy Green Chile! We went every year when we lived in Cruces and now that we live in Colorado we make the trip once a year to stock up. We only buy from Gilly's because it is simply the best. Can't wait for our trip this year to stock up!

The first time I didn't quite get the rattlesnake chile, but I went back and they tried to correct it by giving me the Lumbre chile, which was to be the hottest one. Next day we tried it, but it wasn't hot, for being lumbre. I hope next year I can find another Diaz's farm, like the one they had in Deming N.M. Now there you got chile to your personnel liking! Unfortunately they permanently closed the business.

Gully is the coolest and best guy to buy Chili 🌶 from in all of Hatch! It’s an old building but full of amazing chili. I grew up in TorC about 45 min north of here and now live in Texas. I come back to see Gilly and buy Chili a couple times a year. He has enchilada sauces, Salsas, chili pods, powders, Ristras, Fresh Roasted (when in season), and frozen roasted chili. Bring a large cooler and stock up! Great place to come guys! Do not pass it by! 5 stars all day! 🔥🌶🔥
