Cashier didn't talk very much. She didn't get all my groceries so she rang up what she missed & I ended up paying regular price for Sale items!!! I didn't realize till I got home !!!Didn't bother helping me loading up all my 10+bags into my cart?? Bad customer service today. I'll stick with Albertsons.

This is I believe the largest safeway I have ever been in. It is well stocked and clean. The restrooms were clean. But the best part was a young lady named Shannon who was working self check out. She was patient, very knowledgeable and took time to teach us how to use the very unfriendly safeway digital coupon app. Thank you as you taught this old man something about digital coupons today

The Deli had what i was looking for, but i could have gone with out the deli guys comment about who much meet i was buying. The remodel is taking me some time to get use too. But the liquor department always has the products i need for ever accession. Thank you. Starbucks needs some work.

This store is a disappointment. They did not want to accept my mobileID from a federally/state recognized secure app to verify my DOB. In AZ they glad accept this form of verification and find it more efficient and effective way for ID’ing purchasers. I called and asked about pharmacy requirements for medications pickups and they didn’t have a response. The lady mention she has accepted that form of ID before without issue. Just disgusted with how stores near the reservations are biased toward technology.

Pretty decent place but bathrooms unclean and no tissues in bathroom but was addressed quickly when notified. Same as any other safeway and has pretty food deals and doubles manufacturers coupons. So cant complain

Hey if you’re going to service toilets outside due to COVID how about you actually keep them cleaned instead of filthy and no sanitation solution for the public. Should you be shut down due to COVID? Quite possibly yes. Good luck!

They have Hatch Chiles at this store. Huge boxes worth too.The lines here were pretty bad and staff were not social distancing at all. Kinda a shame considering how exciting it was to find the peppers.

I would like to give 5 stars, since this is a good store for items. As for most of the employees like Bernadette and the so called manager Angelica, makes coming into this store difficult. Not only are they rude and disrespectful, they treat customers poorly, when in actuality, the managers are the problem. Angelica walks around and only does that every time I come in and legit acts like she is the CEO of Safeway. Food is good, bakery is great, awesome deli. Unfortunately, poor management.

I don't usually rate supermarkets but this place was strikingly impressive. What a well stocked super clean store. I mean squeeky clean! I didn't expect such a wonderful store in a smaller town. Staff very nice!

Wish they would offer better help with customer service for grocery pick up, as well as the availability, upkeep and use of electric carts by individuals who cannot walk through the store without assistance. Managers who listen and follow through with needed changes.

Very clean store, has the best selection of fresh beef I have seen In gallup. The bakery has way better doughnuts than Glens bakery at a better price.

Place is clean and nice. Service is good. Better than Walmart. So I use the pharmacy, store, Starbucks. Recommend this place for shopping, pharmacy, cup of coffee.

Safeway, where I'm from, is the just about the only place I go. I tend to get the stink eye from some of the employees in Gallup, usually the managers...kind of like I don't belong or something. Ha, I'd have thought to get that treatment from any other place but... Oh well. I'll usually post 5 stars but stopping at this particular store will be my last. I hope I'm the only one.

Nice butcher and seafood stand, wider aisles, stocked as received. Shortages everywhere but make do with what's available. Self checkout open and at times can be faster. There's a Starbucks inside, restrooms are open. Big deli department and so is their bakery, lots of fresh baked items. Good customer service.

We drive through Gallup every time we visit family. The last 3 years we have stopped here to pick up something to eat and use the restrooms. The employees are kind and the facilities are nice… not to mention the gorgeous flowers when you walk in! We stopped thru today and a man had come in the store and clearly was not in a healthy state of mind. I watched the store employees and security resolve the situation quickly. I applaud them in their efforts and will definitely be stopping by again!

I just gotta say, the pharmacy staff at Safeway in Gallup are awesome. Armand has the most bubbly positive attitude that rubs off on me instantly, laughing and joking and making an otherwise mediocre day noteworthy. Fabian is so warm, friendly and funny as well and also has a way of making you feel like more than a customer. Sky is also caring and helpful and knowledgeable, overall these people make me wish I chose a different career just so I could join their team 😉. I truly believe in giving a genuine shoutout to those who deserve it, and these folks certainly do. They could teach a few people some lessons in customer service and basic human kindness, so KUDOS and I hope this review helps them in some way, they deserve it!! ❤🙏❤

Clean, organized, new floor plan layout. Quality furnishings. Helpful friendly customer oriented. The delivery has delicious selections The meat is fresh, as are the selections of sea food and produce. Recommended.

This place is great especially with the new renovations. The store is bigger and better to navigate through. The selection of meats and cuts are great and priced fairly. Fresh produce and a great deli. The store brand is inexpensive and comparable to name brands. It even has a Starbucks inside!!! Just a great place to shop with amazing service.

The people of Gallup are addicted to Starbucks it's 8pm and they are ordering 8 drinks for one person. The line has not moved in 10 min. Same with the drive thru outside the store... I can't right now.

This is my regular grocery store. They carry a good range of products in addition to some items typically not found in a rural area such as this. Namely, bitterelon, woodear mushrooms, Thai chilies and a good mix of mushrooms in general.Courteous employees. Clean. Just an excellent grocery store.

I like the changes Safeway has made pretty awesome in how they make sure to sanitize. Customer service usually pretty good, but was pretty disappointed with Deli customer service. Is there a limit on how much food you purchase through the Deli Department on meat and hot foods?? I was pretty surprised and a little upset that there was a limit on hot food products..Won't purchase again

This market is clean, well laid out, and has amazing organic products. The bakery and deli is fresh. There is even a Starbucks and a chicken wings bar inside. Produce displays are always neat, clean, fresh and stocked well. I never see old or wilted produce. Lots of unique and organic options for all kinds of products. I live in a rural area and drive 40 miles each week to shop there. Worth every mile. So happy to find this gem of a store.

I shop at this location often, offer great sales but it would be nice if all their sales didn't have to be accessed only online. Some of their cashiers are very friendly and helpful especially when it comes to making sure you get the sale price offered. Although I have been over charged on a few occasions but when addressed supervisors have no issues fixing the problem. This location does have a pharmacy and I have utilized this service several times but one of their pharmacist is sometimes rude, and judgmental. I've also experienced inappropriate behavior on one occasion from one of their pharmacy techs. They do fill prescriptions in a reasonable amount of time.

It was okay shopping but their was 2 baggers bagging my groceries and it was a bit fast and sloppy! Usually I'm the one putting my stuff back in the cart....meanwhile their was NO CARTS leaving the store so they should've been bring back carts instead the store.

Kimri was my cashier, she was delightful and funny. They are renovating the entire store right now so it will be nicer soon. It's a minor hassle but I love to shop here. Perishables & Meat Cuts are always fresh.

Good grocery store. Needed a plain salad but they had plenty with meat; none with just lettuce & veggies. Deep fried chicken was very good and hot.
