Obtain my Fur Babies city license, shots updated and they have the most caring workers. They gave out free dog food. Cat food and bags of staw to families who were in need. Volunteers are always needed to care for the Shelters animals they have in their care

They took in the 5 kittens who appeared on my cat porch without their mother and said they would find good homes for them! Also I got my first dog through them via a local rescuer over 20 years ago and my 2nd in 2018. They deserve our support!

Very loud inside, tiny kittens and puppies. I have seen some employees doing a great job for caring for the pets. A few people are looking to adopt a dog that was nice to see.

Only bad experiences with this operation. Wasted taxes on an uncaring unhelpful business.They treat Gallup like the big city not caring or acknowledging that most of the animal population comes off rez and needs help. Many owners need assistance when animals show up at our homes and we don't want them destroyed...they don't deserve to die just for existing. Animal control only wanna pick up animals and charge upwards of $400 to reclaim. They make demands as to how to take care of animals but offer no assistance, or actual help finding services to help our animals ( the animal hospital next door is no good. not recommended...just as bad)just so they can come back later take yourfamily your friends...your animals and take them away. then they belittle you and blame you and destroy your furry friends.Not to be confused with Rezdawg Rescue which is compassionate and helpful.

All the horror stories I heard were not apparent. The manager has a communication problem between her, her new hires and the public regarding pay now, spay later but that was resolved after a call to my County Supervisor. Did an excellent job spaying Molly. Didn't slow her down one bit and she recovered in 3-4 days. Overall, great service. Squeaky wheel syndrome I suppose.

Gallups Humane Society was awesome! Called and scheduled an appointment for neuter and spay. They scheduled me right away and my baboo googoos Loki and Guy were taken care of! Jacqueline was very nice to Baby Loki and Guy she made them feel safe. They were both Neuter and they were vaccinated for a year! Guy and Loki are doing great and their happy. When we got home I ask my cat Guy if they were mean to him and Loki. Guy sat down on the bed, he looked up at me and shook his head! LOL thank you for taking care of my babies. 🐈‍⬛❤️🐈Guy and Loki will be back in a year for their shots!

GHS provides much needed services. Just wish there were more vet services. And wish people were more responsible for their pets. It's so sad seeing homeless hungry dogs roaming around and no place to take them and pet food getting more expensive.

I have called the Gallup Human Society since at least this past December. I never get a return call from them. They promise the moon, but deliver zero, nada, zilch. I did their job for them and found another shelter to take the puppies from the pregnant dog I found. The Gallup Humane Society won't even lend me crates to transport them to Albuquerque over the weekend...when they aren't even open.People need to be fired as it is not acceptable to not call someone back. If pick up the phone, you have the two minutes to tell them you won't provide the help you are paid to do. This as in other McKinley Country services is a complete joke.

Some of the ladies that work there are very rude and are very unprofessional. 1 lady hanged up on me while another time another mean OLD lady didn't care about anything I was saying. To have people like that represent my home town Humane society is pathetic. It makes me laugh because they seem so uptight with anything you say. All I wanted was to get my dog neutered when it turn into them threatening me that they don't have to take my service. WHO SAYS THAT TO A PAYING CONCERN CUSTOMER?! I've been waiting 4 months for them to treat my service this way? How low can you get? Obviously there job is too hard to handle. Good luck to whomever goes, them ladies can go to 0-100 in a second.

We found a puppy on the side of the road travelling through New Mexico. He was adorable and had to belong to someone since he had a collar but no tags. The staff was very friendly and obviously loves animals by the way they treated him and the other animals there.

My 1st visit was great, I was greeted with kind staff and volunteers. They keep their facilities clean, it's a no kill shelter, and they try to help out as much animals as they can. They do take donation drop off for newspapers and other things they may need. I'll be visiting again, i am hoping to find the perfect pet for my daughter and I.

We have been looking for a small dog to travel with us in our motorhome but most adopt out very fast. Our new dog came in the day before we got there. The people were very nice and helpful in processing paperwork and vet checkup so we could take the dog the next day. They take care of the animals well. Only detract was to much smell in the building.

I went here for a viewing for my dog. They said be here at a certain time,, so I was.. I told them i outside they said "wait we got one here whos about to leave we will come get ourselves" I spent 25 mins waiting. I called and said I am still waiting they said "oh I forgot about you". So messy inside. Even the counter. But the young girl was very nice, she helped me and answered my questions.

Staff was very helpful in guiding me through the process of getting my dog neutered.When it was time to pick him up, the vet took the time to explain to me the care he needed post-op.

If I could give them - 100 stars it wouldn't be enough. However it's not there fault. It's the unconscionable pet owners that think the laws don't apply to them. My advice to anyone in NM that tries to return a pet to its rightful owner. Unless you are going to keep it, leave it alone just walk away.

Gallup Humane Society is always friendly and I think it's amazing that they are willing to go the extra mile to help any helpless animal. As a Gallup community member I am grateful for these wonderful kind hearted people. I read a review on here stating they kill strays and that is far from the truth. They will save any animal that they are able to help. Thank you for your wonderful service!

Our family had 3 dogs and 2 cats all spayed & Neutered, with their shots updated. Staff was GREAT!!! Very caring and professional, they were all very nice. We highly recommend Gallup Humane Society!

The staff are wonderful! Very patient & loving with all my animals. Love the spay/neuter grant they have right now. $5 for cats & $39 for dogs including all shots & rabies license!!!

...didnt go inside. Dropped off a case of canned catfood through an "auto" order & it shipped before i could change...🙄. Anyway, the HS is by appts. only, but when i told the officer, i was outside to drop off the catfood, he came outside. I received a receipt for this donation. 😁 happy eatg kittycats! 🐱🐱🐱

They are quick to respond when their is an emergency. They also help pet owners with needs of their pets if they have struggles. This facility is a no kill and that is a positively plus for me. This place also offers a low fee for spay and neutering.
