A lot of extremely knowledgeable people here. Way better service than home Depot. Is it more expensive? Yes, but not by much. Beats wondering around HD for 30 mins trying to find help/service. Good selection of Sthil, Husqvarna and Milwaukee tools. Decently priced.

I purchased two pricey Yeti tumblers. They provided the lids until after the transaction was complete. The lids were stretched and badly scuffed. I overlooked the "no returns or exchanges" sign regarding Yeti products. So they refused to refund me. This tactic seems to trap customers into their purchase.I informed the manager to display a sign that notifies the customer to inspect the lids before they purchase Yeti cups and she mentioned that she will; but, I am not sure if she will follow through.PLEASE REVIEW 100% OF YOUR ITEMS BEFORE YOU PURCHASE.

Sooo, my dad has been tryg to find particular hinges for used window blinds. The lady he ordered them from, "was at lunch". However, once he received the order, they were nothing like the ones he wanted!I guess, a needle-in-a-haystack moment. 😏

Rarely go here unless I have to. Workers are usually catching up with local residents who apparently go there to catch up. If you stand long enough, they’ll ask if you need help.

I recently bought a portable air cooler from here and it was broken. I tried notifying the staff where the deficiency was and they ignored it. They sold me a broken item and refused to give me a refund even though the cashier told me if there was a deficiency, I would get a refund . Their staff was not very friendly or understanding upon arrival. I used to hear good things about Gallup lumber but due to poor customer service my experience was disappointing.

The employees seem to have an unfriendly attitude about them,no help with getting nails and wood screws ,the person thier just look at me.The chain saw personal was rude ,needed 18 ' chain,wasn't sure of I was given the right size, so I questioned the person that was helping me,he fired back what it says on the box is what you get

This is the best Ace I’ve ever been to. Propane fill up was easy and I have never seen such a clean and well organized outside space. Inside was the same way. Everything clean and well organized, all the staff super friendly and helpful.

I went in to try to fix a cabinet clasp in my RV. I really needed a very small piece if wood. I went into the lumber yard and 2 guys helped me find an offcut piece of plywood which they cut to size for me. I was so grateful, but they didn't want any payment. I can honestly say that the advertising tag line for Ace, helpful hardware store, lived up to it reputation. Thank you guys do much

Much rather shop here they offer everything that home depot or lowes carry , the prices are comparable plus knowable staff that is easy to find in the department well organized they delivered to us in bluewater.I recommend stopping by you won't be disappointed

I needed some shingles for my roof and the store was pretty much empty, no lines at the cashier do I paid for my order and I say at the gate for 10 minutes waiting to pick up my shingles while the worker was not available to help me. I walked back to the cashier to let them know that I had been waiting for a bit and I needed to get to work. I was not happy with their customer service and I think they can improve on helping

Originally, I went in to see if they had sandpaper. Walked out with different grades of sandpaper plus cleaning products from a favorite brand of mine Mrs. Meyers and they had different scents that I have seen sold out online. Very happy they have it in stock. Recommended to shop there or to look around. Never know what you may find.

They r ok. Too many items locked up n not enough staff to help. Everything is back n forth, time consuming, but I have to admit cashier (her name isn't on my receipt) was patient with us impatient people, polite, nice and thanked me for my purchase. Made it all the worth while.

Love this place. We bought two new chainsaws this season. The old ones are running hundreds of hours. Happy hunting ladies and gentlemen. Go get your firewood. Grandma's and Grandpa's are low on Firewood this year. I'm getting tired already. Season ends until December 15th 2021.

Good job service was great. Thanks, but there's no comparison matching for materials. For example roofing metal is 25$ at Lowe's 29 here that means i might have to drive outta town. So much for buy build believe in Gallup. Every dollar counts so does mine.

They need to get more helpers and stop being so lazy on do there job, mostly the one in the key section. It took so long for the person to come when all he did was sit in the back and did nothing, they said they called him but he never came. Get better helpers honestly. Waited over two hour on him to come.

Very helpful staff!Very nice people. They helped us find what we needed and then the manager hunted down some cardboard for me to make a sign for our rental ( Gallup doesn't have a hobby lobby or anything like that and the store didn't sell what I was looking for) so nice!

I live in Arizona & travel to Gallup N.M. to get materials. Home Depot isn't carrying alot of things anymore. I can count on Gallup Lumber/Ace Hardware most the time to get what I need. Thank you all.

Been there multiple times to find simple products. Each time the service was “as that guy”-them gave me the run around because nobody knew what a defuser was. 🙄 or “everyone’s at lunch”. AND this one really struck a nerve; “why don’t you ask him yourself” when I said there’s folks on the other side who didn’t look busy, maybe you can call them over. Only helpful one was a young kid who proved he really did have problem solve skills. No wonder he had a line of people waiting on him. The rest was just there to push customers to one another. Never seen such laziness. I know now to bring my expectations to an all time low next or if I return.
