This is a very nice property. The room was clean and comfy. The service was very helpful. My only critique would be that I would have liked a bigger variety on the breakfast. What they did have was very good however.Rooms: Very nice, modern, clean rooms.

Probably the only positive experience I had here was the fact that the front desk staff were nice & professional. The lobby smelled like sewage. The room smelled like armpits. I was charged more than what was listed online. There was hair on my pillows & in the sinks. The beds were both very uncomfortable & the A/C didn’t work.

I've stayed here twice once in summer and once in the winter and each time Mae checked me in and helped me out. The first time I stayed I was moving to California and my battery died, I had the AAA but Mae made sure I was taken care of and asked when I got it changed over a year later I was moving back home and I got just as much care as I did the first time. The rooms are new and clean the breakfast is delightful, and now they have the Popeyes open right next door. This is a great location on the edge of town with Rt. 66 right out front. If you go to Gallup this should be the place you should stay!Rooms: The rooms are the updated Fairfield sort with larger TV's that link up easily to your streaming services. The beds are comfortableWalkability: Next door is a brand new Popeyes and a large gas station with many things available in the mini mart.

Pet friendly! Our kitty did great on a cold winter night. Exterior door to parking lot made access easier on what was really frozen icy conditions. Clean rooms and complementary self serve breakfast to stay or to go.Rooms: Clean and suites are spacious.Safety: On a very cold winter night the parking lot was an ice sheet. Understand, but the gas station nearby had their's clean.

We arrived late, but thanks to the hostess, got the accessibility room. I had been having issues with altitude sickness... my real concern focuses on the bathroom. The floor tiles, once wet, get super slick. I had to throw towels out to keep from slipping. Also, the controls for the shower are opposite the bench! Ergonomics are awkward.

they were the best of service to us in many ways just very caring staff from the front desk Mae and Wanda were my favorite forever well they remind of what care is. the house keepers were wonderful and helpful, the ladies that made our breakfast. I mean it was the best stay we have ever had. Thank you very much from the bottom of our hearts. Thank you making a stranger feel at home.

The one star rating is related to how the manager addressed my situation . I booked the wrong night months ago when planning a cross country road trip from Eastern Canada to Arizona that included 25 hotel stops ( 90% were Marriotts) . Clearly it was my mistake abut I didn't notice until the day before check in given the activity of this trip . They had already charged my account when I didn't show up . I am a platinum card member of Marriott and asked her treat me they way she would like to be treated for a simple honest mistake from a good customer ( friend of Marriott). There was no consideration given and they had my money . She hid behind "policy" even though as a manager she could overide this . I asked her to do the right thing which from my perspective would have been to rebook me on the original booking given I am a loyal Marriott customer or ask for a 20% extra fee from what they had already taken for my non stay . I travel that way twice per year along with many friends and this location will never see me or my friends . That said I am still a supporter of Marriotts as in general they have been good to me along with their staff and their managers .

It next to a gas station and Popeyes in walking distance. Very nice rooms. The breakfast however had milks and yogurts that were expired so I would keep that in mind just to check before eating. Overall it was a good visit and it was snowing.Rooms: Rooms were very nice. Soaps were mounted on the shower as well as access to a hairdryer. Pet friendly for $45 a pet at the time of visit.Walkability: Yes things are in walking distance but you are near a very busy roadway. I would have caution when walking pets and children.

This location is absolutely terrible. They don't honor 3rd party booming prices so you will get charged $50+ over what you were supposed to pay or either lose your room with no refund. The staff was not very polite and the facility itself didn't look to be in a good location. What was supposed to be a quick stop for some rest turned into being a nightmare to deal with. 0/10 recommend. You'd be better off sleeping in your car than this place.Safety: You'd be safer at a truck stopNoteworthy details: Book here if you're looking to get scammed

If you are shorter than 5'4", this is a 2 star hotel. If you are taller than 5'4" this place is fine. I am 5' tall and did not enjoy staying here. The adjustable shower head is at least 6' high. Do they not understand that adults can be short?! The water pressure was so low I could not rinse the shampoo from my hair. I had to ask my husband to adjust the shower head to a setting with more water pressure because I couldn't reach it. And the water pressure then wasn't great either. The place is clean though, and the bed was comfortable.

Typical Fairfield location. Decent amenities. Won't show typical pics since it's all the same. But I don't know what's going on with the bathroom. Damage? Repair? But it doesn't look good. Do better.

Location is good and easy to find. Service has been alright so far. The room is nice, the pet specific rooms have a smell that doesn't seem to go away, my room still smells like carpet shampoo and dog pee. $45 is a bit much for a pet fee in my opinion. The carpet had a rip in it so I told them out of concern that my dog would get blamed for it. Overall it isn't a bad place, it's quiet and clean. The staff has been friendly.

Not very clean, and clearly there is a structural issue with cleaning staff and coordinating with front of house. First room I was given- I walk in to a mess of a room that someone had checked out of which wasn’t cleaned. This is basic communication between cleaning staff and front desk that didn’t take place. I don’t want to see other guests soiled bedding and towels.Second room I am given has been “cleaned” but I use the term lightly. As other reviews have mentioned- found other guests hairs on bedding and towels. Shower was clearly not cleaned recently- many hairs on the floor there. Toilet not particularly sparkling either.Took a chance on a different brand this time and won’t use Fairfield again. La Quinta and holiday inn seem to still be the safer choices in the southwest.

This place is super easy on/ off Rt40 if you are traveling across the country. The staff was friendly and accommodating. I mentioned I had laundry to do and the found me a room very close to the laundry room which I appreciated. Rooms were spacious. Breakfast was standard Marriott fare. Only complaint is aimed at the Marriott corporation… who thinks frosted glass sliding doors on the bathroom is a good idea ? If one of us gets up in the night, the whole room lights up .This is a nice choice if you need a nice place to rest while driving across the country.

Top notch experience. Truly a five star Fairfield Inn. Beautiful, clean property. The room was perfect. Thank you to Nathaniel for a most welcome greeting and room upgrade. My room was clean as a whistle and even smelled fresh. Staff were very accommodating, as I needed coffee to hit the road early. This was all around a fantastic experience. If every Fairfield was like this, the brand name would be synonymous with perfection. Again, thank you for such a wonderful experience at the end of a long day.Food & drinks: Many restaurants in Gallup close very early on a Saturday night. It was slim pickings to find something good to eat. Options were limited past 7pm

We were extremely saddened by the treatment of the manager Alana the hotel general manager. She made a judgement call on me and my medical service animal which is a dog.. We told the front desk person upon registering that we did have a medical service animal and needed to be in a room that was not a pet room because my husband is highly allergic and our dog is hypoallergenic..They never asked the two questions required by the ADA instead had him sign a form and crossed out the word, pet and the $50 charge and wrote “service animal” on it. We were assured that there wouldn’t be a charge. And we received a receipt with a zero balance . However, today we noticed that there was a charge of $48 from this hotel taken out of our account.I will speak to the ADA and see if they feel the same.

Positives first....the hotel was very well kept, and clean, and the breakfast was tasty for the standard " free breakfast" offerings. The late afternoon front desk person was friendly and efficient. So the physical things about this hotel were great!!The downside, I called the front desk at about 1:00pm asking if we could get our room on the quieter side of the building (west), away from the elevator on the top floor. The front desk person indicated that was not a problem and we were set with our request. When we arrived, the afternoon front desk person didn't seem to know about our request....so we got assigned a room on the top floor, but it was on the east side (noisy) and close to the elevator. Don't tell your customers you can help them with a request when it is not true!!The rooms on the east side of this building get a ton of noise from the constant train traffic, I-40 & Route 66 noise - not great for a restful night's sleep!!

My family and I have been frequenting this location since 2020 and our most recent stay was awful. Didn’t think I would have a bad experience here because in the last 3 years this was the first time I had to actually come on here and complain. As a former room attendant myself it’s habit that I check beds in any hotel I stay at. We were given room 200 and both beds had long dark hair on them. Disappointed, I walked into the bathroom and saw the toilet was noticeably filthy and not cleaned. The tub was black and looks like it’s not been throughly scrubbed in awhile. The shower curtains need a change because they were yellow and stained. The front desk was notified and we were moved to 213. The comforter in that room had a red stain on it. Already mad by then I just pulled it off the bed and decided to wait until the next day to have request a new comforter. Any one with eyes could spot these mistakes. We asked for housekeeping service the following day because we booked a 2 night stay. Twice we asked the front desk for service only to come back that night and see nothing had been touched. Trash and soiled linen were still in the room. Obviously there’s a lack of communication between front desk and housekeeping OR maybe the housekeepers just don’t care about their jobs which in that case find a new profession if you only want to do half the work… So disappointed in this recent stay. With the amount of money we pay to stay here we should get what we paid for. We came here because we enjoyed the cleanliness and that’s not at all what we received. Seems the quality has gone down recently. DO better mgmt and executive housekeeper/ housekeepers.

The room was impeccably clean and the check in experience was excellent. The breakfast Ok, there is only simple carbs and sugary food to be had. Some healthy low carb, less sugar items would be helpful.Food & drinks: The breakfast could use some healthier choices

Unprofessional staff. Multiple interruptions.Don’t stay here if you plan on a comfortable stay without interruptions by the Front Desk Reception. I have never stayed at a hotel with so much disruption calls to my room phone. The first time was a call telling me I needed to pack my belongings because I needed to change rooms due to plumbing issues. After waiting 25 minutes for a new room to be assigned, I finally called the front desk to be told “ never-mind “The second interruption was the day of check out. We literally were harassed by a phone call to my room at 10 am asking if I’m out of the room yet. The check out time is 12pm. Now that really put the icing on the cake.I am one unsatisfied customer and will never stay at this hotel again!
