Food was delicious 😋 😍. Waitress got us in to eat even close to closing time. We've been traveling and hungry. We got to eat sum good food. The waitress was very nice and so was the other servers and checkout workers. It's like a family restaurant. I saw alot of families eating there. Was good to see happy families enjoying their evening there. Will come again and eat there when your in town and craving mexican food. 🙌👏😊

I stumbled into Don Diego's Restaurant this evening, looking for a good Mexican meal. I found great food with great service from friendly staff. They were very busy and had only one table available, which was located in a high traffic area. The hostess recommended that we wait a few minutes for a better table, but we decided to take it anyway.We decided on the beef and chicken enchiladas. Both were great, but I think perhaps the chicken was best. Really delicious. The staff were excellent and took great care of us. The owner stopped by our table as well. It was pretty clear that she takes pride in her restaurant..I plan to stop here again the next time I'm in Gallup.

Basic restaurant with lower end ingredients- chicken avocado salad was bland and used bagged lettuce blend with carrots cabbage etc instead of quality romaine. Slushy margarita didn’t have much if any alcohol to it. Menu doesn’t give description of food or drinks so server has to spend time explaining. Seemed like most were ordering Mexican dishes which were probably better tasting

We stopped on a Route 66 Trip and knew we chose the right Mexican place when we tasted the salsa and chip. We loved our food - ordered Sopaipilla, Fajitas, taco salad and burger. Some people love New Mexican food… To everyone not in the know do not compare it with or think New Mexican cuisine is similar to Mexican food! It is not the same. This restaurant might actually good and we may have just been on an off night. The food was not good. For example they charge $9 for guacamole which is really just a small bowl of mashed avocado! No lime no onions no cilantro just plan avocado! Also the burritos come with only meat inside no rice, beans, onions, etc.The service we received should be addressed as well. Our server was rude and unhelpful with menu and food choices. She was also not attentive.

I’m passing through on my way home to Kansas City so kind of looked at this on the Internet. I stopped in and this is a very clean place. It is jampacked. I tried the green chili along with one taco. I am so satisfied. Yes I have traveled the entire lower United States Born and raised in a Mexican family I’m gonna go on the limb and say I know damn good tasting Mexican food. If the green chili is any way showing the menu stop in this place and enjoy it.

Husband got the sheepherders burrito it had way too much meat and not seasoned well. Took over half home and ended up feeding it to the dogs. I got the combination fajitas beef, chicken, shrimp,it did not come with rice so I asked for a side of rice. The beef and chicken fajitas were subpar did not finish them ate all shrimp (about 6). Rice was disgusting tasted like fried rice with can tomato sauce mixed in. After 2 bites left it,gross. Chips and salsa comes at beginning of meal. Salsa tase like can rotel with green onions chopped added to look "just made". I was not impressed at all for my first time visit here. I will not be eating again. The price is competitive to other restaurants.

We ordered the chicken tacos and it was great. The stuffed sopapillas were amazing. The owner even came out to us and asked if the food was good. The service was also really fast. The bill came and it was less than expected. Portions were very generous. Overall this restaurant is the best. We will be back!Parking: Huge LotKid-friendliness: Great kids menu with lots of options

Really good Mexican food. Parking lot was full and google rating was high. Older place but updated. Fajitas and tacos were really good. Need to try something different in Gallop? Try DD’s You won’t be disappointed !4 Days later and I’m back for taco Tuesday! So yes, it’s good here!

This is my first time eating breakfast here at Don Diego's Restaurant. We arrived and it was sorta busy.we were seated ,ordered simple breakfast. They only have white,wheat bread. I wanted sour dough bread but,none. Everyone is 6 ft.apart the Atmosphere is comfortable ,music sounded great 😀..old school. I definitely coming back..stop on in and enjoy.Features: 6 ft.apart seating.

We tried to make a reservation for a birthday dinner BUT we were informed they could not take us but needed to talk to manager and call us back. No call was received as of now and they can't handle the amount of people that was going to be there. Food is.delicious but why not take a party of 20. And first of the month shouldn't matter on the making a reservation.

Tasty coffee and meal to accompany it. Country fried steak and eggs after a long morning drive . Hit the spot thank you. I appreciate the kindness extended to the homeless gentlemen in the pink coat. Made my day thank you. I'll be back for breakfast again.

Really great food. Meat by itself is a little bland. Make sure to add the green, red, or both sauces. The green has good flavor while the red is more spicy. Service was good, parking was easy. Kids plates are available, hot dogs and grilled cheese. Margarita was good size and priced very affordable.

The food is very delicious there at Don Diego's. But the only problem I have with them is the waitress They don't work as a team and when you ask for help, they just passed by you.The food there ithey're full, but the service is awful.

We were greeted at the door with a handshake and a welcome. Very friendly! The restaurant is clean and staff very helpful! We enjoyed our meal very much! Love that green chili !
