This Smiths is perhaps one of the best stores in Farmington. Normally I would give this store 5 stars, but I’m stretching it giving them 3. Go to this store and try to find a decent shopping basket…. impossible to do… all the carts bump and make noise… ALL the carts. Shame on the store manager for allowing the fleet of carts to get in such bad shape, there’s absolutely no excuse. I’m also sending a complaint to Smith’s regional headquarters. If you shop at Smith’s, please join me in writing a scathing review, hopefully, the manager will get the message.

This store really needs to get with the times and have tap to pay. Yes i am aware there is an app but it doesn't do any one any good to have to sign in 3 or 4 times just to find there is still no option for google or apple pay. Yall have wifi why not tap?

Good place to shop when you need basic food stuff (IF you have a smiths card), though anything butcher related youll NEED to be there at LEAST 3 hours before closing as they have a habit of closing two + hours early. Usually not a big deal though when its the only thing/s on my shopping list it feels like a waste of time going out. Store is usually clean (thank god they got the smell out) and workers are not out if the ordinary kind though its not an unpleasant experience.

TRIPPLE CHECK YOUR RECEIPTS BEFORE YOU LEAVE PEOPLE!!!!!!! EVERY SINGLE TIME I go to Smiths they try to over charge me for something. EVERY SINGLE TIME. how many people are they robbing? I feel bad for the elderly that they’re ripping off. One lady in line told me she always gets overcharged but never says anything. Horrible customer service when you get over charged EVERY SINGLE TIME you go to a store.

Just some advice do not work for smiths. I have family that work at smiths and they treat their employees terribly. If you do its best to get a day job working under tina who is the only kind and considerate manager that works there and the only one that seems to know what she’s doing.. I worked on nightshift under Diana and she is about the worst manager I have ever experienced, she micro manages everyone constantly while she takes multiple hour breaks, not to mention the way she talks to her employees is very rude and condescending, when I approached the main manager about the problems we were having with her she kind of just brushed it off as if it was a reoccurring event that couldn’t be stopped? They said it would be a whole processes that would not end with her getting consequences. The whole crew feels the same way about Diana and they put up with her because they need their jobs and have no choice because they’re told no matter what she does or says she will not have consequences for her actions. This store complains about not having good workers but that is not the case, its the managers that can’t treat their good employees with respect and so they all end up leaving and finding better jobs that can value good employees who work well without getting micro managed and treated poorly for absolutely no reason at all.

Can't stand walking in the store, it stinks like something died!!! IDK how they don't do anything about it. I've gone several times thinking maybe it was a1 or 2 time thing but it just always stinks. I drive out of my way to go to different store even though Smith's is way closer

Great prices, Good employees and Central location so if you need to one stop shop Smith's is the one fast convenient Supermarket I go there about 4 times a week I live right next to where Butler and Apache intersection is so I like to take brisk walks to SMITH'S every time I go.

I live right by this store and it is terrible! They have like 10 self checkouts kiosk but they’re never open. They open like 2 of them and 1 register. No one ever comes up to help and they let lines just build up. No is ever around to help while looking for something. The management is terrible as well. I don’t know her name (which I wish I did)she is beyond rude and has the worst attitude I have seen in a while. I watch her berate the poor merchandisers that’s come in there like they’re nobody. Yells at them and treats them poorly when these people actually stock certain product and keep it nice for them. All in all I have switch grocery stores for sure! Avoid this store

Update: Well, we have had good experiences with the pickup service, but the shopping in store experience is much different. Lines were super long, and someone was instructed to close down the self checkouts on one side, leaving only 1 register and 2 self checkout lines open. There was no manager in sight. We tried to call and speak with the manager and were left on hold, they never picked up. We will be calling corporate to let them know about the lack of management at this store. I will say the one checker and bagger were working hard to get everyone out of there quickly.We moved here from TX, where we had Kroger instead of Smiths. I was happy to learn it is the same company so that I could continue to enjoy the same benefits. We have done several pick-up orders, and all have been great. This will continue to be our grocery store.

I just moved here on a hair string budget. I started a job but I haven't received a paycheck yet. I had $60, not a lot to buy groceries for the week. I am so appreciative of this store's effort to mark down products that are getting close to their sale by date. For $60 I was able to stock up on produce, and had enough left over for Coca-Cola and some pork chops. I had been worried about being able to afford enough groceries for the week and left with more than enough. Thank you so much, Smith's!!!

Love the Customer Service here. Especially in the customer service booth or money services. The ladies that work the booth are amazing. Lol. Cashiers are excellent and management is great. The store as a whole is the best to shop at.

Prices marked on the shelves don't match what they ring up at checkout, but that's par for the course for Smith's. Grocery selection is good, but check your receipt before you leave so you don't get scammed.Update: Customer service is literally nonexistent. I dropped my driver's license while I was there, and called 17 times to see if anyone had found it. No one ever picked up the phone. I drove over after work, and the customer service desk was completely abandoned. Fortunatly the cashier (there is only one cashier for the whole store, BTW - everything else is self-checkout) had happened to find it, and still had it in their pocket. So 5 stars for the heroic overworked cashier, but 0 stars for the terrible store. I'll be driving past Smiths to go to Albertsons from now on.

Hands down most disrespectful, unprofessional staff I have ever witnessed. Went to buy baby formula and had an older $20. The self checkout machine did not accept it and the manager wouldn’t except it because it ‘felt funny’. Isn’t that why they make money checkers and money markers? Truly embarrassed and really upset I couldn’t get food for my baby, based on irresponsible managers who don’t want to do there job.

What is going on with checkout? The last 2 times I've been in, they only have 2-4 self checkout registers open, and one person. The lines are horrendous. I understand that there is a worker shortage, but why not open up all the self checkouts at all hours of the day due to the shortage so we can get our groceries and get out of the Covid soup? Also, this store always smells like raw meat throughout the whole store... I think the ventilation in the meat dept could use an upgrade. This is the most conveniently located store for me, I wish it was more pleasant to shop at.

Smiths recently remodeled their store. It's is so clean and organized. every employee seems to love their job. The produce section looks great. So colorful and pretty. You couldn't seen a cleaner store. When you can't find someone something you can ask any employee in any Department and they know what's in those aisles and they will tell you where it is. they will even take you there. They have an employee watching the checkout Isles and navigating customers 2checkout Isles so they get two check out almost immediately. They are so fast. They take food stamps and credit cards. They're open until midnight. The air conditioning is perfect. And when you walk in the store you see the beautiful flowers. Employees in the butcher Department are very knowledgeable and helpful. I've never used the restroom but I'm sure it is certainly very clean. I love Smith's and love shopping there.

Have only ever had one bad experience there. Love their new remodeled store, although the layout took a little getting used to. Staff is mostly friendly and helpful. Prices seem to be better than Safeway and even Walmart overall. The new Sushi bar is worth the visit.

Prices at the checkout usually does not reflect the sales ad. Customer service reps are usually hesitant and irritated if their help is needed to correct the store's error with the pricing. The attitude of the employees need a major upgrade.

The public restroom is usually kept clean. The customer service is wonderful. When the meats do go on sale, it's always good to buy them while you can. The gas is still high go but I think it's a lot cheaper than the other gas stations.

This is my first time shopping at Smith’s & had a bad experience. I couldn’t buy chips on sale price because I don’t have Smith’s rewards card. While I was downloading app at the customer service, I required their rewards card number. Cust Serv associate gave me the card with an attitude. Well I entered the number & it still wouldn’t let me create an account for the App.I asked her if she can honor the digital coupon price this time as she knew there is some sort of glitch.She couldn’t honor or on the other hand she was arguing why I don’t have app, when I told her to begin with that I am new in this town & my first time coming here.I don’t believe Smith’s is part of Kroger as she mentioned because the experience that I had with Kroger wasn’t like this one.☹️Smith’s should retrain their employees.

This is the best grocery store in town. If you haven't been after the latest remodel, I highly recommend you give it a chance. The selection here is better than any other grocery store in town and they have great deals with a membership card. The produce is always fresh and well stocked, the meats are well stocked and seem to be better to me than the other stores in town. The lines here usually aren't too bad either as they tend to keep enough registers open to satisfy the customers.

3rd time this month that I have left my cart (over half full) in the aisle or by checkout. Workers standing around and won't open another register when they are backed up.(From the time I started to shop until I finished and got to checkout. Got frustrated and left it----still 3 ahead of me). The cashier was doing her best but couldn't keep up. I refuse to use self-checkout since I get no discount for doing someone else's job. I even ask if they are going to check me out and about half say no. I'll keep going and keep leaving my cart every time until you get the message that your shopper's time is important also; especially if you have cold products. Lousy service. You can pay one of the people just standing around to put those groceries back up.

My delivery orders have been coming 3-6 hours delayed. You are lucky if you get a shopper that communicates to you. If you do, a lot of bad options for substitutions would be justified. But nope. The worse was getting moldy produce. Yup. Calling and chatting with Customer Service is no use. They really can't do anything.

The store in and of itself is nice. However, when checking out, you have 2 choices: self checkout (which sucks when you have a cart full of groceries and cost MANY people jobs), or wait in a line usually no less than 15 to 20 minutes on a Saturday or Sunday. Why not more people operating the existing five or six checkstands? It's my opinion that they just don't care, and they want you to use the self checkouts to save paying people. Their reputation among the people of Farmington has dropped DRAMATICALLY. Hope the saving money thing is really working out for them at the cost of losing customers. They are making Walmart look fast!

Their prices are reasonable with lots of sale items. Their name brand products, Krogers are very good and cheaper. I like the freshness of produce and bakery items. The workers are very friendly and helpful if you can't find something. I like the store savings if you have a Smith's card as you check out. I saved $70.00 last time, almost 1/4 of my purchase.

Manager is a complete ass, he makes your shopping experience, if you have to deal with him not want to come back. Several of the staff you can tell are irritated with being there. But there are several who always have a smile on their face and a pro in their step. To them I say, thank you for making shopping there a better experience

I’m really disappointed because I used to love Smiths. They were the best! Customer service was great and all. Now everyone is so unhappy and never really willing to help. When you had a problem, they helped you. No one is ever willing to help or make things right when something’s wrong.
