This high rating isn’t in regards to Safeway as a whole (which I feel has gone downhill in many ways since the merge with Albertsons). Instead, this is more of a shoutout to an employee, Paul, that made me feel like I was valued as a customer. I was looking for fresh basil and not finding any, so I asked the man working in the produce department if they had any. He checked in the back and apologetically said they were out. I continued on with my shopping and a few minutes later, he approached me with some alternatives he had found. That was so beyond the service I am accustomed to and wanted to say it’s appreciated. I hope management recognizes his outstanding customer service as it is very rare. It is this kind of service that will keep me coming back even when the product is lacking. Thank you Paul!

Hire some cashiers! This store is ridiculous. The last 3 times I have been in I just left my stuff & left. I am spending $100 or more & you cant get cashiers to ring out guest? Go in the lines are 20 deep & no one in self checkout has 10 items some have buggies full of groceries. Sick of working for stores all because of covid. They now feel like why hire help...let the people that are taxed to death & over charged do all the work for FREE!

I want to Safeway at 9:50 p.m. I needed to run in and get soda pop. I knew exactly what I needed and where it was at. Doors were already locked. They don't close until 10:00 p.m. I won't be shopping there for a while.

Almost always everything is in stock. If its not the employees are very helpful! The deli ladies are super sweet, meat department always knows their shipments. Here is one of the few places you can get Red Bird chicken, big bonus. New organic chicken in whole birds!

Flower department is awesome!! They were extremely busy yet still took our order and worked with us on the little details. They were overwhelmed BUT remained courteous and professional. Great customer service!!

Hadn't been to this particular store in a long time so I'm not sure when it got a makeover but it's great, especially the produce section! Very fresh foods and nicely organized. Have been going back and it's never really busy, even on weekend afternoons. Wasn't sure how the merger with Albertsons would play out but it seems to have made a positive impact.

Love Safeway especially the meat much better than Walmart. They actually have butchers that will give you what you want. Very good meet. Friendly staff clean environment just a pretty good store. Also there are Safeway points have saved me lots of money at the pump.

The customer service guy was very helpful and patient. I didn't catch his name, it begin with the letter J. My cashier, Ryan was nice enough to open a register during the busy hours so the lines can go down a bit. Very helpful staff. Thank you for being open and kind staff.

Safeway is a good store to shop at. I love the Deli Department and this one worker with the red apron. She is very friendly and helpful. I asked her if I could do a taste sample, she said yes without giving a sigh like the other workers. I did notice that the Deli Department workers wear hair nets and I also noticed that the Bakery Department workers don't. I've made a complaint to the front about the Bakery Department not wearing hair nets. What's worse is what if there's a hair found in the bread that they bake by a customer. Since nothing has been done since my last visit and I just visited this past Saturday I guess I'm gonna have to call the Corporate Office in Denver and complain about management and the manager of the Bakery Department. This is absolutely ridiculous that nothing has been done to rectify the situation. Safeway would've gotten a better score if not for the hair net problem in the Bakery Department.I was at Safeway again, I couldn't believe how management would allow their employees to wear their hair nets. It doesn't even cover their entire head of hair. One lady had just her bun covered and the rest was not covered. The other lady had just her top head covered and the rest of her hair hung out. The manager Shaunda needs to be replaced or she needs to get strict with her employees. I would not buy any baked products from that department until they get better employees who pride themselves on being clean around food. All I think about is all that hair falling in the dough. Ugh!!.

Their butchers blend burgers are trash. Try and grill a burger falling apart in the package...Tried to reshape and repress and fell to pieces on the grill.10/10 would not recommend.

I'm not sure what the problem is with the store but it seems like the buyer never buys enough and they often have empty shelves on common items. I've written to them before and never got a response so it tells me that they don't really care what the public thinks but I just gave this three stars because it's my local neighborhood Safeway and I go there quite often. there's always very friendly folks there but stocking is not one of their strong suits.

Seems like a very nice Safeway, with everything that you expect. They have a great deli, with the usual soup and light lunch offerings. The guy in the deli was friendly and helpful. They have a Starbucks right in the store, and that includes a pleasant place to sit. Since they were not too busy in the coffee shop, we assumed they wouldn't care if we bought some things and did a picnic as long as we also ordered Starbucks coffee. This is a fairly cheap and healthy alternative to going to a regular sit-down restaurant. It's an option that we like to take when traveling, and Safeway is a good spot to do it.

Safeway is a great grocery store! They're always well stocked and much cleaner than other stores in the area. They're not as cheap as some of the "supermarket" stores in town, but they do have a wide variety of choices with some unique products you can't find at other places.

Love how they moved Starbucks away from the restrooms, this time bathroom was dirty!! But I go here for meats n seltzer waters n just love to look at all the pretty flowers and go over to Starbucks and oh n' ah over the new cups lol

Recently we've started using online shopping with Safeway. Every time we go to pick up our order, we arrive a little early, just in case. So far, every time we arrive, we call and are unfortunate enough to have Steven helping us. He always has a bad attitude and makes us feel bad for using the service. Last time, we showed up 5 minutes early (our order time was scheduled for 2:00, and we showed up at 1:56). When we called to let them know we were there, Steven's response was "Already!? I haven't even started shopping your order yet!" He didn't come out with our order until 2:50. We waited for almost an hour! On top of the wait time, he has the worst attitude. They're happy to substitute name brand products with generic products, but not the other way around. It's a shame that we have to switch to a grocery store that's further away from our home in pursuit of decent customer service.

Very nice and clean. Safeway has done and excellent job especially in the two sections I frequent the most which is produce and meat/seafood. I have been to other grocery stores in the local area where I have seen mold growth on fruits and the smell of old or expired meat/seafood was noticeable. I have never experienced this at safeway at all. Great job with the small details!!

Safeway was very clean and organized, making it very easy to find what you're lookung for. The staff were very helpful and courteous. The fruits and vegetables were arranged very nicely and were fresh. It was a good experience. I will be going there more often.

Even though I had to wait in line, it was short, less than 5 minutes. The store was very clean, well stocked and even though I had never been in this particular store, I was able to find what I needed with very little trouble. Did self checkout and the process went smoothly. Great store! Will return.

On February 8 at 7:43 pm, I stopped at the Safeway store in Aztec N.M. My purchased items included 4 Rockstar energy drinks. They were on a digital coupon priced at $1.29.When I got home to Farmington, I was looking at my receipt. I was charged $8.77 .I should have been charged $5.16.I live in Farmington, so I went to the store on east main street. I spoke to the woman at the customer service desk. She then called the manager, Joey. He said he wouldn't fix the Aztec store error. Said they should correct their own errors. It was $3.61. It really wasn't a big deal to me, but it was an error. I told him that he expected me to drive 10 miles to get this corrected..!I told him Safeway is Safeway. Denver Division. He wasn't happy, but he said he would only do it this one time.I shop at this store frequently! And for the manager to act this way. This is not good customer service as far as I'm concerned. This might change as to where I shop.

Always a helpful staff, I have to use the electric wheelchairs to shop and if I can't find something or I need assistance they help me! Everything I need is always there and if it's out of stock and on sale they give me a grocery slip with the item, sale price for how many I need and I can come back at a later date, some stores won't do it but Safeway will! It lasts up to 60 days day or night! Albertsons is also part of Safeway so if they don't have it at either store I go to the other one! Friendly, Safe, Great Atmosphere to shop!
