This is a little place on the main highway. We had the tacos. My wife had tacos with green sauce and I had mine with red (hot) sauce. Meat was tender and tasty. They were great!!! Pictures show the inside of the place and the owner/cook. She and her husband were the nicest people.

Pork Tacos were great in 2017. Owners are great people. The building is the old Encino Fire station. I try to get over there when I stay in Vaughn. Last year, 2018, I missed them being open during scheduled hours. They have a Facebook page so check for non scheduled closing if you going out of your way or just planning to stop. There is also a store with basic supplies.

The owners were so good and jolly. The burger was yum and out of the box,worth the price. I have never had such good french fries and onion rings before. McDonald's french fries are nothing before this.

It is surprising to find a quaint little restaurant on the stretch of highway between Mountainair and Vaughn in Central New Mexico. However, the gift shop of hand-made crafts and fresh, homemade food is worth the stop. The four of us were all happy with our orders--tasty and reasonably priced. The Frito pie was delicious and the chili was excellent.

Really neat place and the owners were great. Not many places out there to stop so we appreciated them being open. If you like ballpark nachos, as well do, that's your best choice from the grill. We were not impressed with the tacos or fries.

I’m sorry, but this is not a 5 star eating experience. The food was 1 step above a high school football game concession stand. The owners were nice though. The family said the burgers were good.

Driving from Roswell to Albuquerque stopped in for dinner, the food was great! Very comfortable made you feel like a regular, had the cinnamon rolls to go my only regret is I should've bought more of them they were unbelievably good!! A very quick stop. The man working the counter was very friendly. The food was good for the price and much better than the fast food options that are up the highway towards I-40.

Please stop in! What a wonderful family. We ordered a kids meal, grilled cheese with chips and got a few extra things. Affordable and bathrooms for littles with a purchase. (Buy some candy and a drink).

Nice little place I usually drop in after testing anywhere on the east side of NM , little bit of fire fighting history and decor . Good food polite and professional service . I totally recommend it’s a nice little pace for a break from 60.

This is an awesome place. Very friendly. Red Chile was hot but green was good. A good place to stop halfway between Albuquerque and Roswell or Clovis

What a great stop in the middle of NM, just off Hwy 285. Terrific burritos and daily specials, plus a fun place to look around at all the local memorabilia.

Not a high selection of stuff but what is had is great. One of the owners is the local fire chief. So if your going through Encino, make a stop at the Fire House.
