This is a really quiet motel right on the lake. It's fully furnished, so it feels like staying in an air b&b. It's not super fancy, but it is very pleasant.Rooms: The rooms are comfortable. Staying at the motel is like staying with a community. Everyone is very friendly. Lots of long-term stay residents.

The new owner stated 'Donald" he does not rent his rooms out to people that go from motel to motel be cause of "bed bugs"I hope he realizes people do come from motel to motel because they travel ..If this is because he didnt want to rent from a local ..Then hopely he does get business or maybe he doesn't ..this would be lame ish excuse one can say than the truthSo I will give a negative reviewIt's up to people in general to give good reviews for their own business but I found this to be an excuse using the " bed bugs" excuse not from locals since he doesn't rent to.locals .. but people. That comes from motel to motel in general ???Aleast when judge browns wife was the owner/ manager she never stated negative.always nice no matter who rented her rooms ..

From the outside you'd never know what's inside. Rooms are newly remodeled. Lovely. Separate bedroom. Murphy bed in living room area. Small in room kitchen. But has everything a large home kitchen has. The bathroom has not been remodeled. But it's clean and everything works.Outside our room was a beautiful bar b que. Bar b qued with our friends which were also staying there. Invited some of the guests to join us. Very positive experience. One of the other guests came out and gave my grandchildren some paints and rocks. They had the best time. She was very very nice. Not much of a view. But with bar b queing, chatting it up with friends and other guests and the room itself it made up for the view. Went to Elephant Butte the next day. I will be going to this hotel again . I loved it.

The perfect place to stay! Affordable, clean, updated rooms, friendly and attentive owner and not to mention as close to the lake entrance as you can get. There is nothing but great things to say about this place. Donald was very accommodating and friendly. I highly recommend Marina Suites Motel and we look forward to going back very soon.

Wonderful family run motel with clean comfortable apartment style rooms. Maureen and her family were so accommodating for our large family and with as much as we travel we will definitely stay here again.Highly recommend staying here. Easy to get to off i25 and just a few minutes up the road from the lake and beach.May be considered "dated" and nothing FANCY, but I'll take CLEAN over that any day of the week.

Finding pet friendly hotels especially without reservation is hard and the lady was willing to accommodate me in every way she could. She even brought us some aloe from her house because my boyfriend was severely burned! The bed and the pillows far exceeded expectation and way better then any bed I've ever slept on! Everything was spacious and the rooms came with dishes, full fridge and even a full stove! Amazing will be coming back!

Newly updated carpet, couches, tables, and they added big smart TV’s. These rooms come with a kitchen with basic supplies to cook and manager has shampoo and conditioner readily available. Closest location to the lake and plenty of space to store a boat. The manager, Maureen, is really easy to get ahold of, and gives great suggestions to any questions we might have about the lake, near by restaurants, or any other basic tourists questions. If anything isn’t working the maintenance worker lives on the property so they are extremely quick and effective at getting to needed complaints or repairs. Extremely fun and cozy place to be!

This was a Nice, quiet place to stay for a short visit. It's fairly clean and Need serious updates. 1.You still must defrost the refrigerator.*** 2.The stove old and rusty.*** 3.The heat in the bathroom heats the toilet, Not the bathroom. The vent is on the wall directly across from the side of the toilet. The porcelain gets hot if you're sitting on the toilet, you must hurry off of it.

I love this place. They have central air/heater. They have cable and WiFi which means they have Netflix, YouTube, and more on the tv. They have well furnished rooms and all the things you need for your stay including towels, sheets, blankets, paper towels, dish soap, toilet paper, and dishes. Than they have house keepers who come around to clean and make sure that you have everything you need and that your enjoying your stay. I would suggest this place to others staying in this area. I loved it and didn't have any problems here.

Clean 1 bedroom apartment style suite. Nice tv, furniture, full kitchen, dining table and quiet. When we're in town visiting family, we stay here. Each unit even has it's own barbeque grill! Only a 5 minute drive into town. Super nice owners and a super value considering a full kitchen, barbeque and living room. Highly recommend this property for a night or extended stay. Pizza Hut delivers here too.

We stayed here last winter. The lady who runs the place is wonderful. It's very well kept and anything we needed was taken care of right away. It's close to the lake and so nice and quiet. It was worth every penny.
